- 3 months ago we purchased a 2024 Forest River Grey Wolf 26DBH Travel Trailer and posted our first RV camping video. There were a lot of comments and concerns about if our 2018 Grand Jeep Cherokee has the towing capacity to handle a travel trailer this size. There were also some other questions about how we got into the RVing lifestyle and do we have any regrets?

Do you know what your payload is on your station wagon? That’s important. And you need to know your hitch weight also. Good luck, safe travel.

Wow!! My husband is from Atmore and when we go there we always stay at Winn creek rv park. Our favorite place to go in Florida is Pensacola. Happy camping!!

It's so funny that you guys made this video because I told my husband that you guys pull a trailer with an SUV and we have an SUV, but ours is 4 cylinders. We were looking to purchase the Minnie Winnebago to start and slowly upgrade as we see fit. But it being a 4 cylinder we can't pull nothing but an egg size trailer and we're not trying to do that so until we can upgrade our vehicle and buy a Minnie we will live vicariously through videos like you guys! Lol BTW... your wrap dresses are so cute! Stay blessed guys. Looking forward to the next video. 🥰

I was concerned that the trailer would be too big, but they convinced Phillip by saying as long as we don't go to the mountains we should be ok 🙄LOL We had a Ford Explorer when we got the first trailer and didn't have much wiggle room. We are actually thinking about upgrading to a truck. When we went to the casino last month, it was kinda rough going through those hills in Alabama. So we will definitely have to upgrade to a larger vehicle if we decide to travel further north, but for now we're good staying local. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! 🥰

Hi the trailer on a car is not as secure or safe as a truck, with the hitch inside the bed of the truck.
I have seen them flip over taking the vehicle with it.
It much have the correct vehicle & hitch.
It may cost you more, but you will be safe.
Ford F 150 or
F 250. F 350 dually if you are planning to be on a lot rough
dirt roads.

A F250 three-quarter ton would give you way more payload And hitch weight would not be a factor More truck than you need is always better.
The RV dealer they went to should’ve known better than to send them out with a station wagon and not telling them about payload and hitch weight.

By the time you add in whatever you are taking with you, you’re close to that max weight and you need to be mindful of your hitch weight.
Most seem to recommend your trailer be only 50-60% of the max you can tow. Stay safe and good luck!

You guys have good content on your channel & are able to get into some of the better Parks #jealous. I also tow our travel trailer with an SUV and have seen tons of uneducated comments. First time watching you all really enjoyed! I’ve pulled a heavier TT with a Toyota 4 runner you’ll be fine. Florida is pretty flat terrain so you shouldn’t have any issues. Enjoy the new RV you’ll love it!

Hi guys. We have tried for the longest to get into Topsail but have not had any luck. We done many of the southeast rv resorts but are now looking to do some state parks other than the beautiful ones here in GA.
Hey! I would love to travel to Georgia and check out the State parks there. I bet they are beautiful. And trout fishing is probably amazing! The key to getting into one here, you have to check everyday throughout the day and as soon as you see an opening, book it! LOL It cost $17 to cancel and $10 to modify. When we had our other trailer we would book months in advance and end up cancelling because of bad weather. So now we start looking about a week out. LOL
My wife and me have been watching UA-cam for a while very nice channel. I enjoy it and it does surprise me that you could pull that with your jeep. I have a 2015 Silverado Z 71 and I've been considering buying a camper. safe travels and blessings.
