Glad to see the roads are clear now after your snow and the weather is warmer. We had some extremely cold weather here for a while but it’s back to the 70’s . Thanks and take care my friend

Glad you could joins us, Lloyd. It's quite cold (35 °F), but the sun is out and there's no wind, so it's quite enjoyable.

I'm not sure why I was suggested this, but this is a beautiful town and drive.

Hi Dr. Bruce, what is that building @25:00 on the left next to the bridge for? It looked like a watch tower of some sort. Another beautiful trip, thanks so much. Cheers! Larryz

Thanks Larry! The "tower" next to the bridge was an electric distribution point and transformer building. In the distant past power and telephone lines were above ground. In about 1970 all cables were buried and these distribution buildings were left over. Many were torn down, but a few were kept, and ours is covered with bird and insect houses to try to attract useful fauna.

Obviously the chicken's day off, if the ducks have to cross the road. Very pleasant. Repair or replace is always a difficult debate with older cars. Often, the replacement will also soon need some work. I take a view that if the repair is of a 'service' part, brake pads or shock absorbers, that kind of thing, I will swallow and have the repair. However, if a mint condition MGA was to be had for 1,000 Euro....

Ah well, yes. I would consider an MGA, Triumph TR3 or other sports car, but at my age and with wife and 40+ kg puppy I think a van is going be best. We'll see. We were surprised at the ducks. I presume they knew that we had the video camera running. Thanks for riding along.
