Hi Anne, your products are a true inspiration! I have a friend in Brazil who is also watching your videos and starting an artisan shop as well. Love the process and the final result is just amazing! I had a go with melt and pour soaps, but the cold process is far more interesting! Well done, I’m loving the mini course! 💕😊
Thank you M K and I am glad that you are enjoying the mini course! I still find it crazy how many people from across the world watch and comment on our videos, we are very lucky :-)
Brilliant series, i have learned so much by watching you tube videos, yours and other peoples, and also reading dozens of books too :) lye used to scare the bejesus out of me, ive learned if you are slow and cautios and treat it with huge respect its fine. I must tell you my very first atempt at making lye sometime, it was in an old metal jug :/ :/ never again :/ xx
Thank you Amanda! I must hold my hands up and admit that my very first soap I mixed the lye in a Pyrex jug :-/ I should have researched more before beginning! I am always watching videos and researching different techniques for all things bath/body related, it is a fun way to pass the time and learn something new at the same time! :-) x
We do yes. I know there are some people who only use distilled, but I really believe it depends on the quality of your tap water and how hard/soft it is. We tested with tap water versus distilled for a long time before choosing to go with tap water and honestly we didn't notice a difference between soaps made with distilled water and those made with tap water.
Hi Ann I live your video's , just starting my CP soaping journey .
Thankyou for sharing this video and giving a clear explanation of the chemicals and how it's used safely.
Thank you sooooo much! Really enjoying your videos!

Hello! Can we use floral hydrosol instead of distilled water in soaps?
Thank you the video, do you use tap water to mix your lye?
