Quinn definitely knows Dexter is dangerous. There was also that scene in season 8 where Quinn catches Dexter in his "Dark Passenger Attire" and he stops him and says he (Quinn) is going to see Jaime and to keep an eye out on that kid that Dexter took under his wing for a few episodes.
Similar desire but instead of telling Batista everything, I'd like to see that it was Quinn who helped Dexter find a new identity, since that'd be within Quinn's wheelhouse of connections.
@@LemonSte Yea quinn already know that dex and deb would never kill each other, so hopefully quinn can help dexter get to his former self and slap the writer to tell them never make dexter commit murder on innocent people again, for deb's sake and her wish to keep dexter alive.
I think it might make some sense if he pulls some strings or shady stuff to get dexter released, either to help (knowing what he does it mostly for good) or possibly with the motive of killing him for the deb stuff. I think it'd be a nice tie-in to help explain him escaping, rather than him just pulling some houdini stuff and slipping out of custody which may be a bit bland.
And the whole thing with Deb confessing to killing Laguerta to Quinn definitely made him more suspicious that Laguerta could’ve been right and killed deliberately
And the fact that he accepted the lie of “not feeling well” is also interesting. He didn’t question it further, even though that’s a shocking twist to Laguertas murder. It obviously shocked Quinn that it was Deb, because for him it was Dexter until that plot twist. Especially when he knew Dexters mother was killed in a shipping container where Laguerta was.
Tbf, didn’t that guy kill Deb (I stopped watching before that season)? Quinn covering for Dexter killing Deb’s murderer doesn’t necessarily mean he knows Dexter’s a full blown sociopathic serial killer.
Some doors aren't meant to be opened and he knew that. If ignorance means he can continue his survival and happiness with others then I ain't gonna judge him. The truth is a burden not everyone can handle.
it was very obvious that Quinn knew because there were literally so many encounters indicating that like for me the biggest one was when Quinn saw pictures of Dexter dumping a body with Lumen you can see it in his face that he wasn't looking surprised by it like he already knew, Quinn wasn't the most honest or a heroic cop who always cared about justice he was smart enough to know when to back off unlike Doakes. I think Quinn knew Dexter was dangerous but when Laguerta said that Dexter is the bay harbour butcher then he knew exactly who Dexter was
Quinn might have known but I’m pretty sure the one who knew most was Matthews, as he worked with Harry to put Dexter in Miami metro so he could quietly solve unsolved crimes. That’s very obvious when he discusses on his boat as a retiree, or when Matthew makes sure (many times) Dexter is not endangered.
