At 64, a baby boomer, mercilessly discarded by my spouse a couple of years ago after 25 years in a relationship where every kind of abuse known to mankind occurred, self-awareness is a brand new concept to me, as are the activities related to it: mindfulness, journaling, and meditation. I acknowledge they are all crucial to my mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being but I struggle with getting started, drawing a blank when I want to journal or the inability to tame my mind to stay focused when I try to meditate or practice mindfulness. Yes, I am completely alone, and also completely isolated, but I do want to make the best of a bad situation, to learn and grow so that what I have been subjected to against my will, never happens again. I am hopeful King Stoic, in conjunction with God's Holy Word, and with reliance upon His Infinite Mercy and Grace, His Unfailing Love, His Forgiveness, and His Great Faithfulness, I can attain inner peace and strength.
Solitude is a gift. When i travel, I enjoy going by myself. I am in complete control. The feeling is exhilarating.😊😊
I understand! Ads can be distracting. Hopefully, the content still provided value despite that. Thanks for sticking with it!
Solitude is where I’ve found my best ideas and clarity. It’s not scary, it’s freeing
