Can I use jiffy peanut butter in the jar instead of the Reesie peanut butter chips I just like the flavor better? And would there be any changes as far as the powdered sugar? Thank you I’m a new subscriber.
Here's a trick for dipping the oreo balls. Take a plastic fork and break off the two middle tines. Place the cookie on the fork and dip. Then place the fork flat on the cookie sheet and it should slide right off. Also I refrigerate the cookies before dipping
I saw this comment last year, and I just wanted to come back and thank you for that brilliant hack, I am getting all my recipes together for thanksgiving treats, my brother loved the Oreo balls so much I promised him I’d make his a batch.
Good morning. Thanks for having virtual coffee with me as I watch your video. I was so happy to see your chocolate cover cherry recipe. As a teen (I’m now 69 yo) my dad and I would buy each other a box of chocolate covered cherries. We put them on top of the fireplace mantle. One Christmas after unwrapping gifts, we said to each other “where is my box of cherry chocolates.” None to be found. Mom said one evening when she got home she found a small piece of cellophane on the floor by the fireplace. Evidently our German short hair dog, Heidi, had stood up and reached the chocolate and ate both boxes. We knew she loved them. We were surprised she hadn’t gotten sick. (Maybe she had. She had a doggie door to go outside). Lesson learned. Next year those wrapped chocolate went into a cupboard until Christmas morning. LOL. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
It is so satisfying to watch a Christmas Candy Video in the month of August, in Texas, at 100+ degrees, with Jingle Bells playing in the background. Warm fuzzies and hugs to all!
If you like lemon flavor, you need to make the Oreo Balls with lemon sandwich cookies, I use Lemon Oreos but you could try the generic ones. They are so good, my husband’s favorite.
Chocolate covered cherries was my Daddy's abso🎉 favorite can Dr y! I loved making them for him every year and he loved getting them! Such wonderful memories ❤❤❤😊
Nice recipes, I may have to try making the Oreo balls, my time is running out lol. Whoever you gift the cherries to, I sure hope they appreciate them, that's a lot of work you angel.
I’m always sad when your videos are over. I will definitely try these! ❤❤❤❤❤also, the passing out with the little thumbs up that comes back up above the table- priceless!!😂😂😂😂😂
I love Your recipes. Thank You for sharing them with Us. We are looking forward to becoming Snow Birds. I know that it does get cold there and You have snow once in a great while. We have cold though here in South Dakota. We always get snow and We have wind chills of -10-55*F. Now, that is COLD!!! I mentioned I would like to consider TN that I may be interested in moving to when the snow flies here. I mentioned The Appalachian Mountains. I thought that they are in TN. I looked up Your address and BINGO. Well, We are driving to see My Niece in SOUTH CAROLINA. I want to fly but My Husband wants to drive and mentioned where We could go through. He convinced Me. Anyway, Happy Holidays and/or Merry Christmas to You, Dusty and Your Boys. ✝️🙏🏽😊❤️👍🏼❤️🎄🎅🏼🌲🎉🎊
Making Christmas goodies is a labor of love. Even when turning premade ingredients into something different, the work that goes into the little things to make it special! The steps, the little extra. It takes time and like you said makes it prettier. I love watching you and your family. You are all so sweet . ❤
My Reese’s fudge consists of peanut butter fudge you make with butter, peanut butter and powdered sugar. Then I lay the bottom of the dish with Reese’s and pour the fudge over the top.
I’ve never seen homemade chocolate covered cherries before, I love your recipe, thank you. I think your channel is one of the best on UA-cam. Always happy, uplifting and helpful. Thank you - Merry Christmas 🎄 😃❤️
I do chocolate fudge and peanut butter fudge then what my family calls Crack cookies. It's a cut out sugar cookie from a mix. It's the frosting that makes it crack. A friend who passed made me promise to make them for Christmas every year. I also make peanut butter balls.
Your candy looks great! Those chocolate covered cherries look so yummy! Your little boy is so dang cute, and I trust his judgement on deliciousness! Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!
Thank you for posting this video! I have always wanted to make Christmas candy, but it always looks so hard to do, but your recipes seem so easy and frugal! I think I will make all of these this year! 😊
I am binge watching all your uploads I haven't yet seen. I know I'm not the only person who sees one of your shows and immediately hit the like button before I even see it.
If you make the chocolate covered cherries around Thanksgiving and set the container they are in where it is cool & dry like a pantry the inside will be liquid by Christmas. My Mommaw and I made them in the 50s & 60s❤❤❤
Cowgirl has been making chocolate 🍒 cherrys for 5 years, I love Hercules Candy shop UA-cam channel I learned from this Mom and Pop shop. I agree 👍 with you about Great Value brand double stuffed of yum . Great video
These look great!! I am going to be doing a lot of edible gifts this year (because we don't have a lot of money right now and nobody needs more stuff) so these will be great additions to what I have planned. Thank you!! Have a very Merry Christmas!
I used to make these and very, very good. Except one year, could not get white to get dry enough and was beginning to taste just like powdered sugar. WELL, I had to much invested in ingredients to toss out, so I chopped the cherries up pretty fine, folded into cream mixture and dipped in chocolate and came up with cherry mash candy. Everyone was soooo impressed!!! Some I shared story with, but not everyone!!!! Something may start out one way but ends up in a different way. Fun was had by all. Love your site and thanks for sharing and for all your hard work.
Love these recipes! You should try mixing peanut butter with powdered sugar roll into balls then chill melt some chocolate and dip them in the chocolate then let the chocolate dry and eat. Known as buckeyes. There's many recipes but this one is easiest.
I’m definitely making the peanut butter fudge and the Oreo balls!! I don’t think I’ve got the patience for the cherries but they look great too!!!! Uh oh!! The baby passed out again😂😂. I could eat that whole thing of fudge too!!!!
I buy that Twist & Shout double filled oreos all the time. They taste great with my unsweetened Almond milk. I really don't like name brand oreos. Thanks for these great recipes Brooke. Merry Christmas y'all and so glad you had help with these recipes. God Bless.
I knew the chocolate cherries! My mom made an out 20 dozen every year for Christmas gifts! They were LOVED BY ALL! The other 2 candies are going to be made for all of my friends this year! Thanks for the suggestions!!
I love to make oreo balls. People are always so impressed and it's such an easy thing to make and so delicious. I usually cover them with milk chocolate and also white. I have also done them with flavored oreos (the mint are a hit and also the peanut butter). When I make mine, I put a toothpick about halfway in and then put them in the freezer for about 20 minutes before I dip them. After dipping, I throw them back in the freezer for about an hour and then pull the toothpicks out. I love your videos!! Thank you for all of your amazing recipes 🎄
Thank you so much sister. God bless you and your family. I love seeing your family try them especially the kids so cute! Im like you, ill buy generic brands its cheaper and made at same plant just different packaging!!
My brother-in-law loves Oreos and was tickled pink to get these as a gift one year. I like the truffles made with mint Oreos and dipped in chocolate bark.
❤❤❤❤ We made the peanut butter fudge and oh my goodness!!! The family loved it and I thank you so much for sharing. Merry Christmas! My 13 year old made it and says he will be making it again.

Absolutely 💯 Beautiful
Since your family loves peanut butter you should try making the Oreo balls recipe with Nutter Butter cookies. They are equally delicious.
That’s a great idea!
Oooh YUM!
Yes! I started making them instead of buckeyes. Everyone likes them better. They don’t taste as sweet.
Yum yum yum

Yes most definitely try using a fork when dipping, helps drain off the right amount. Try it it works!!!
