It costs a maximum of 500 rupees from airport to city center but if you asked for 3000 rupees or 2000 rupees, or you took rounds in the city so that you understand that city center is far so you gave money to the driver, this is a very big scam. Yes, this happens with all the tourists, when the driver asked us the address then why was he roaming around in the city or making excuses for asking the address?

The price was justified but it was not the Airport official Taxi. They don't use old cars. They have corolla cars above 2020 years. This guy lied about it. You booked a private taxi. He should have told you about this at first. Airport taxi cost higher than the outside taxi. You can use careem for your travel next time. It is safe. Stay safe in Karachi because the city is not safe anymore after 2020. I would suggest you to visit lahore, islamabad. Those cities are safe and you can visit northern part of Pakistan too.
