If a person from uk travels to another country with no intention of coming back and settles in another country , lets say france or Germany and thre he owns a land. After his death a lady come up saying it was guven to her by the owner as she took care of him in his old days.. now, what are the options? I mean can the legal executers start the case or claim in the UK?
In the case of immovable property, the rule is lex loci situs..means the law country where the land is situated will be applied, but , who will get that land depends on the domicile of the deceased person.

The place of death is also important . Legal executors can file cases in the uk . For Jurisdiction some connection with cause must be established.
