A coupla points Szene 76 was the German show along with Abendschau which did not circulate for a while. Still they were TV shows per se As for first actual concert footage used for commercial promo purposes, that would have to be the Cobo video used for the Alive! Aucoin video promo
Love this series.....and will be the final (?) word for newer fans to learn the origins of what was out there, and what classic footage is out there. I remember wanting so badly to see the Tokyo Budokan Young Music show/HBO show. It seemed that was out of the realm of possibility - Thankfully, I finally got to see it over 10 years later.... "Our" Fabulous Four were no more by then.
Great series guys. Watch the show then watch the concert. Fantastic upload of the 7pm show just put out recently. Kiss-Rock & Roll Over Tour|Tokyo ,1977(7pmShow) by angelo. Better than Kissology Vol.1?? Greetings from sunny N.Ireland
Let's see the A -> B videos man. Just clips so we can see what you are talking about. Come on Andrew you are brilliant with video. Let's see this kind of thing in future episodes. You are the best person to be able to really show this. Don't talk to us about the A --> B. SHOW US the A -->B. That's where the meat is.
I believe Alison Steele showed a clip or 2 of this on her Nightbird TV show. I believe that preceded the HBO showing. I could be wrong though. Forgive if you guys mentioned that. I may have missed it.
You are correct. She showed portions of “DRC” & “RARAN”. It aired on NBC @ 1:00 am after SNL on Saturday 1/28/78 (technically 1/29 because it was 1:00AM, Sunday “morning”.
This series is outstanding
Thank you for watching!

I don't think there's such a thing as the final word. Always some clarification, enhancement, correction, discovery. At least, I hope so!
@@kissfaq You got it...hence my use of that Question mark....Keep the Series rolling! This information is so important to KISStory.
Too bad 1978 doesn't exist.
It's a damn dirty shame actually....

Would you do an episode discussing other contemporary guitarists you consider on par with Ace in his heyday? Thank you, love the series!
