Another great reaction to our Aussie legend Jimmy 😍 Thank you ❤️
Thank you...I hadn't heard this one!
It's new to me as well Rick. Sooo good - go Jimmy 😂👏🤩
Love your reaction to our Aussie treasures! This is actually Cold Chisel...Jimmy had a solo career later on. A few top notch songs of theirs are Khe San, Forever Now and Flame Trees. Hi from Adelaide South Australia...where they came from.
The 1984 full concert is on a YT channel by Casey Cooper. Type in Jimmy Barnes 1984 at the Playroom. It is on regular rotation for me, as he is my number 1 artist. This is from is inaugural first solo album called Bodyswerve. Other brilliant songs include A Change is gonna come (cover), No Sense, Thick-skinned, Boys Cry out for war, Paradise, Vision and the first song of his solo career No second prize. The collection of his band to note is guitarist Mal Eastick (white T-shirt that you wanted his name, originally from a band called Stars), Bruce Howe from Jimmy’s previous band called Fraternity, and one of the back up singers is his sister, (the smaller one) Linda RIP 🕊
In the official version, at the beginning, Jimmy acts, and is picked up by the Police for drink driving and locked up. hilarious.
Ps there is a connection with Jimmy and AC/DC singer Bon Scott. Jimmy replaced Bon as singer for a band called Fraternity. Bon went on to his next band, AC/DC.
Jimmy doesn’t cover AC/DC - he doesn’t need to ! He has a massive catalogue of top hits but when he does covers it’s usually soul music eg A Change is Gonna Come, Soothe Me.. he’s a soul singer.
He did actually do an ac/dc cover, I'm sure. In later years.

@@10shamus oh yeh he sung High Voltage but I wouldn’t call it a cover - more of a live performance. I don’t think he ever recorded an AC/DC cover but happy to be proven wrong !
Well said
He does a tribute song to acdc with his old band. The song is called baby s on fire by cold chisel his old band.
Jimmy was in the band call Cold Chisel before he embarked on a solo career.
He has also sung with the likes of Tina Turner with a duet of Simply the Best
Check out Cold Chisel
Also, with Bon Jovi , Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, and Joe Cocker.
Jimmy has sung an ACDC song on two occasions once live with Bryan Adams. Jimmy Barnes and Bryan Adams cover ACDC High Voltage live Sydney.
😮😮is that straight Vodka😂😂😂😂👏👏👏cool!!! 🤭🤭..good old Barnsey…didn’t like him till the 90’s when my kids were teenagers now listen to him each day along with Farnsey..and many more!! Thanks love your reaction…DAMN!!! 🤭🤭💞💞💞🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️

As others have said, check out the cover of Wild Thing by Cold Chisel Live from the last stand tour 1983

Jimmy Barnes turns this tune up to 11, by far the best version of Wild Thing imo.
I’ll stand corrected but I wouldn’t think that Barnes would ever cover AC/DC. He’s got more soul than that but he covers loads and does a lot of fab duets if that’s your thing. Still the best songs he does are Cold Chisel songs, of course.
You need to check out wild thing and stone Cold.
Never really appreciated JB back in the day unlike all my country bogan freind. As I get older (now 53) I really do feel he was a legend of Aussie music. By the way this is one of my favourites. Simple but kills. Check out his version of “Working class hero”.
