I love your idea for the water bowl! I will be using your idea soon if that's ok lol. How do you clean out your waterbowl though? I assume taking everything out would be a pain.
Absolutley! I keep the substrate on this terrarium very moist, since it is for a frog. The wetness of the substrate allows me to lift out the water bowl and the dirt will hold its place, from there I will dump out the old water rinse out the rocks and put it back into its place in the terrarium before adding back in new water.
How did you attach the bamboo to the water dish/How is it standing upright? Wish we couldve seen this part. Also does the water have to be replaced or will it clean itself?
The Lucky Bamboo that I had used for this terrarium was pre water rooted. I had planted the roots in gravel, inside of the water dish. The water is not self cleaning. The bulk of the maintenance is topping it off with fresh water but I do clean the bowl and replace the water every few weeks.
Our building stays fairly warm so I don't have any additional heating on this set-up. I would recommend using a heat bulb if you needed an additional heat source. I used an Exo-Terra Canopy fixture and UVB bulb to light the tank.
Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad this video helped. For some reason the audio on this particular video came out wonkey but the audio in our newer videos is much better!
This is so beautiful and informative! I’m hoping to get a milk frog soon and this gives me a great idea of what I can do with the tank
Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad this video gave you a good idea of what you want to do with your set-up.
Thank you. This really helped reassure me that I have done ours correctly. 😊
Of course, I'm glad this helped!

Do you have any special heating or lighting for this set up ?
