Well you lot have my respect for working a piece of steel that large, takes a good bit of hammering even with a striker helping the main smith, it came out awesome too.

Nice piece, however, a proper spear it is not only poking weapon.. Its primarily poking but not just poking.. True spear its basically a short sword blade attached to wooden stick. It can be used to slash as well as its thin blade super sharp along the double edge
there's no such thing as "true spear" stop making your own standard to be adopt by everybody. different people, different tribe, different spear. "true spear" 😂
As a display piece, its beautiful. But not forging out a socket for something with that much mass is going to result in the head flying off or coming out of the handle.

Did you make your own charcoal? And what is that you were using as an anvil?
Charcoal I bought from villagers, anvil from car part.
...that was done the most difficult way possible.
