Your place is beautiful! I love that your chickens seem so happy about the worms you provided them from your cabbage. I wish everyone could experience the joys of gardening and growing their own food! It is so rewarding. You are inspiring people all over the world to grown their own! Happy gardening!

Nice Anders! Cool that you know how to do so many things! I think that most people have lost touch with the sources of their food and survival and their spiritual nourishment! People lived like you do for centuries, but now live separate from nature so often. For my part I regularly spend time in nature hiking and I am very devoted to growing native plants on my property. I am working hard to reduce lawn and grow native plants. I hope to also create more space to grow more veggies in summer so I can have fresh produce! Back to nature is the way to go!

That shower with the crystal clean rainwater looked so wonderful!! We had to put a filter on our shower due to all the chemicals in the municipal water system. It helps some, but I like your "green acres" type shower better for healthy skin, hair, and wellness overall. 😊 Beautiful place. ❤

Beautiful! Absolutely jealous of you Anders, I pray one day that I will have such hope a reality. At one point I had dreamt of doing Biophilia therapy with children on my own homestead, but it has not been so, but I would love a life like yours one day. I use to make guava jam with with my g-ma as child, miss country life. Blessings and wishes that you will continue to be happy in your tiny home :)

      So much fun, yes?
I used get a whole big grocery bag (back when they were still big) full of peaches from my dad’s mom to make peach jam with my other Gma. When I was 14 I decided to try doing it on my own. Turned out great.
If I had the space to do it now, I’d buy all the fruit and make jam again. 😁

Very good indeed.. Noticed you had rowan berries growing in you part of the world also..We use this berry to make a sweet jam for serving with meat..Catering collage taught me to add chillies to make a sweet spicy version of this jam, that can be added to other dishes or used as a glaze or condiment jam to serve with cheese or meat..Kindness your way..Lochness Scottish Highlands..

This is the real thing. I must say I roll my eyes at the expensive, stylized, faddish, not sustainable and not inexpensive tiny homes in these shockingly overpriced rental communities.
I didn't live as sustainable as you but I did have wood stoves, my own dirt trail, private well, etc. I was a one woman army and even sourced and chopped my wood myself while working a full-time job in the city. Eventually though, as the decades passed, I had to relocate to a home that is in nature but on the grid. I do have wonderful memories and I sure do miss my wood stoves.

The plastic bowl will last longer if you put the cold water in first. My plumbing is breaking down and I am hoping that I don't have to carry water every day. My compost routine is to have three bays, using one each year this way I don't have to turn it regularly. It is so interesting to see what you have achieved.

I was watching without knowing who you are or where you are -- and as I was watching I kept wondering where all the insects are. Then when I saw "sukker," instead of "sugar," I knew you were somewhere in Europe. When my husband and I were in Europe this past year, we noticed there are hardly any insects / bugs like we have here in the States. My parents used to live in the woods like you do and you could not go outside even in the daytime let alone the night time for you'd be eaten alive from mosquitos and other bugs, and they would decimate any garden. You are so fortunate. Here, my concord grapes are decimated every year by Japanese beetles. Sad.

Careful how close you mulch to the trees trunk. Trees planted to deep or subsequently have the trunk base covered will rot.

    Hey Mate,
    Your Videos are so inspiring!!
    I got 3 questions:
who tought you all your Knowledge about Building a tiny house, install all the electricity and so on.
Same with your Great Knowledge on gardening - how did you learn all this
Finally - what Happens if u get sick during Winter? The typical „the next 3 days i stay in bed to get healthy“ is no Option, isn‘t it?

And good point, but I’m not often that sick. However, once I was, like really bad, but a then-girlfriend saved me by taking me in for a week or so😊

Please don't be to down on the "rat race" because you depend on it for your very fortunate lifestyle. Me too. It's tiring hearing off grid homesteaders put city life down. And its unecessary. I'm grateful for the rat race because they make my work boots and electric pump for my water and my snow shovel etc. I live a simple life but depend on the grid even if not for my homestead for all the stuff others make that I need for my homestead. I feel very fortunate to live in a serene forest but am not so naive to think this lifestyle is for everyone. That's unrealistic. Instead I am damn grateful that I'm one of the lucky ones and I'm also damn grateful for the "rat race" as you call it because I depend on it too.
