Is it worth to pay a consultant before entering these?
Some recommend entering minor competitions (with the same draft first) that give detailed feedback. After doing rewrites from the feedback then enter the big competitions.
Thanks for such valuable information. Made a note of all! 👍🏻
It's our pleasure, Sarang!
Appreciate you guys!

More to come!
Thank you! :)
You're welcome!
Wonderful content-- thank you! I've entered multiple contests over the the past couple of years, and been fortunate to be a (TV pilot) finalist and semifinalist in several of them, including one of the competitions you mentioned here (Screencraft). The accolades are great and very encouraging, now I need to figure out what to do next, so if you have any video content on what to do AFTER you get a nod in a screenwriting competition, I'm all ears! Thanks again-- great stuff!

Can you enter all of these not living in the US?
Great video. But what he failed to mention is the cost of entering these contests. Not too many of us can afford to throw $80 to $100 at a contest Everytime one rolls around. Just saying...
Hi Dondi, thank you for pointing this out. We will be sure to mention in future videos. You can also find the cost breakdown on the blog that the video is based on: www.scriptreaderpro.com/screenwriting-contests/
WITH SOME OF THOSE BIG PRIZES... I THOUGHT THEY WOULD COST $400- $500 APIECE !
The answer is don’t submit to festivals it’s a waste of time and money
