    It will more than likely benefit big corporations more than it will the regular joe or mom and pops. That why they need to reconsider the personhood of corporations.

    Wtf is chevron deference anyway ? A company??

    • @devinwinters1844
      @devinwinters1844 2 місяці тому +1

      The Chevron Deference refers to a decision where it was deemed that the agencies of the Executive branch were to be given power to interpret ambiguous statutes included in rulings of the Judicial branch within reason. This allowed agencies such as the FDA to use experts in relevant fields like biology to prevent companies from using know harmful materials in their products. The original case was Chevron U.S.A., Inc. vs Natural Resources Defense Council and was decided in 1984. Essentially, the courts deemed it would be impossible for judges to litigate every detail of a policy, and left it up to agencies who had better experience in regulating their respective fields. This new decision will allow any company to challenge any policy set forth by government agencies and will require federal judges to hear much more cases then they do now.

  • @michellem6826

    I don’t think this is great. Now we will have judges with little to no background on the topic making decisions that affect our water, air, food, and more. Judges should interpret law not make law. This is what they will be doing and we will have lots of different interpretations from a multitude of judges. Chaos will arise. The Supreme Court can only decide so many cases a year. Therefore, we are going to have one ruling in one Appeals district and another in a different appeals court. Let’s tear our country into even more pieces.

      @@gabeswitala2292a lot of horrific things were done in the past ecologically and we didn't have half the population we do now.
      Greed is on the rise as population rises and we have more folks going after the basic laws like "gee maybe don't dump here" and trying to find a way around said laws...hence why we need smarter regulation to stop these smarter greedy entitled people.

    • @timothykeith1367
      @timothykeith1367 2 місяці тому

      @fuxan The EPA, or other agency isn't being abolished. Congress will consider 3rd party testimony. Congress will write the law, which will probably continue to be written by the agency - if the law passes. The lobbyists will influence the House reps. The 435 House members must vote, some for, some against. It sounds liked added workload to the committee. It should be like before 1983.
