Thanks. I just changed the thumbnail to something I thought more appropriate and funny. 🤣 I mean.. magnets... compass... who'd a thunk? Honestly I can see how people might think a compass in a smartphone might not be effected in the same manor. In a case, probably shielded, maybe works on a different principle? Reality is It's actually worse, because once they get out of calibration it isn't a point in the opposite direction kind of error. It could be pointing 30 degrees off course, or 180 degrees off course, (edit: and it's random!) and the only way to fix is often to reboot the phone.
@@stealthandysteath1069 I often do. Usually when it's cold to keep the battery warm. It's amazing how fast late fall/ winter cold will kill a cellphone battery. Late spring/summer/ early fall, I just run it in my bino harness cause it's convenient and I just don't care if it messes up the phone anymore. 😁
