Building more apartments? Why not renowned those one that are falling apart? Those huge factory that can be amazing as lofts and not being an eye sore zombies?
I've watched many parts of downtown change for the better over the last 10 years. A place near the river would be kind of sweet. But, this can't be sustained if IL keeps raising taxes. Last, that reporter is gorgeous and well-spoken...wow!
I would be willing to pay an extra percentage point on taxes if the infrastructure got redone. The roads are crazy here lol other than that I love Rockford. Such a beautiful park/forest preserve system. I'm always surprised driving through places in Rockford I hadn't explored prior. People really do take pride in the community up here. I just wish crime could be curbed and the roads/sidewalks weren't crumbling...
Downtown area is starting to become a nice place to live... But the infrastructure in the rest of the city is crumbling. I wish they could get a grant or use some funding to overhaul the roads. Just paving new roads and sidewalks would make Rockford thrive again. Infrastructure is more important than the city thinks.
