I was unaware of the cowbell meme until My Sweetest explained it to me today when I told him about what Letitia commented on the last video. Hehe thanks Letitia. This is just an honest unironic song about lovely cowbells. Enjoy! Sound of cowbells passing through On a rainy Saturday in the valley Sound of cowbells passing through In the winter melody of the valley And now the summer people have gone Back to their houses on the coast And now the winter coming along It makes me happier than most I'll be waiting at the bus stop With my black umbrella I'll be waiting at the bus stop Got a lot to tell ya Of the tips of the dark trees Scraping clouds above Of cosy evenings and How I'm sitting at the front Because the summer people have gone Back to their houses on the coast And now the winter coming along It makes me happier than most I'll be waiting at the bus stop With my black umbrella I'll be waiting at the bus stop Got a lot to tell ya Sound of cowbells passing through As the rain is falling over the valley Sweet little left to do Just another Saturday in the valley
This is a beautiful and fun song. I'm glad to see a creative run from you. At one time I used something with a unique sound in my songs (2012 and early 2013), a piece of grip exercise equipment that sounded like a cross between a ship's bell and a cowbell when struck. Sadly I've misplaced it since injuries have made it impossible to work out much like I used to, but I'd like to at least have it on hand as a percussion instrument.
@@dove4070 It was a grip thing sold by a company called Ironmind meant to simulate chinups by grabbing the rafters with your fingertips or picking up two plates by their outer edges. I forget what it was called. They also sold special hand grips (even the easiest one was twice as hard as a tough sporting good store gripper, so there was no shame in even using that one). It's because of stuff like that despite my injuries and losing over 50% of the strength I once had, I still have a respectable grip strength. Thankfully I still have enough useful strength to do things if I need to. Like at a cemetery near where I live, I was able to put a smaller gravestone back on its footer that some punk kids toppled. And then other volunteers seeing what I did also put the others back on their rightful place.

Sound of cowbells passing through
On a rainy Saturday in the valley
Sound of cowbells passing through
In the winter melody of the valley
And now the summer people have gone
Back to their houses on the coast
And now the winter coming along
It makes me happier than most
I'll be waiting at the bus stop
With my black umbrella
I'll be waiting at the bus stop
Got a lot to tell ya
Of the tips of the dark trees
Scraping clouds above
Of cosy evenings and
How I'm sitting at the front
Because the summer people have gone
Back to their houses on the coast
And now the winter coming along
It makes me happier than most
I'll be waiting at the bus stop
With my black umbrella
I'll be waiting at the bus stop
Got a lot to tell ya
Sound of cowbells passing through
As the rain is falling over the valley
Sweet little left to do
Just another Saturday in the valley
As always; Beautiful painting Carol.

Wow that "instrument" sounds really interesting.
