Ah, my comment disappeared! Thank you everyone! This video was a bit different, and I was sooo nervous, but you all have made my life so much happier, I had to tell you! Have a wonderful Sunday! Here´s the link to Milla: www.jedewocheeinenkuchen.de/ and to Haidy: www.youtube.com/@belleandfleur
Hi Lauren, I'm a native English speaker who lived in Germany for three years and I really enjoy your videos. I like the way your cinematography captures such romantic views of Germany that, as foreigners, we often appreciate more that native Germans. Old Fachwerk, medieval Rathäuser, craggy cliffs with castles, and lush green forests are all so dreamy. Sometimes my German friends would tease me about having the same tastes as their Omas! And I appreciate your approach in this video. Yes, enjoy the happiness that you have in Germany. I think in the massive chaos that we live in now it's important for people to see that it is possible to have a peaceful, nice life. Please, keep doing your videos.
Hi Rick! Oh, I´m so glad you told me this! Yes, focussing on the romantic does us all good, for a few minutes, doesn´t it? Oma´s taste - lol! Well, the Omas had good taste, then! It´s so easy to get caught up in the Alltag, and miss all this gorgeousness. Thank you so much for your encouragement, I really appreciate it.
You told us two things that make you happy. I'll tell you one thing that makes me happy: your videos about Germany. We have a difficult history and therefore a problematic relationship with our homeland. I want to thank you all the more that I can see my country through your eyes. Because that's how I succeed loving it. Thank you so much!
Omgoodness thank you so much Peter! What a wonderful thing to say! Three things, it was three! The weather, the variety in Germany - and you guys here on UA-cam!
Dear Lauren, it is always touching the soul to see and hear your views and thoughts about this Country! Nice to have you here! 💚💚💚 You deserve many more subscribers!!!! Wishing you a wonderful Sunday from Wilhelmshaven
I used to work in Nienburg for 6 month during the early parts of my career. I didn't walk in the city center during the evenings. What a mistake this was! Thank you very much for your video, because it looked so nice. My wife and I drive past Nienburg on different occasions once every 2 years. We must stop there and look at the inner city. This is such a wonderful effect, that your videos have. We learn to appreciate our beautiful landscapes and cities by seeing it through other eyes.
Thank you so much! This is just wonderful for me to know! Yes, when you´re working, you just want to eat and relax at the end of the day. I´ve only started making so much effort to see more of where I am, since starting my UA-cam channel and it´s been life-changing!
thanks as ever! the German national tourist board should assign you as its spokesperson. One falls in love with Germany through your lovely videos. what a country indeed!!!
As a Fellow German, just stumbeling on your Channel, i was really delighted to hear about what you had to say about our Country. And our people in fact. when you live in a Country you love, you can get lost in criticizing all the aspects that dont work here. But a fresh, somewhat outside perspective can give you a totally different View on how to treasure your own life and style of living.
I like your comments! That's true. It seems, rhat many people here have problems with our culture, history, today. I'm from the South and in former times I could not imagine to live in the North! Your reports are so motivating. Thank you. ❤❤❤❤ And don't worry about shit storms! This is just envie! 😂😂😂
It's always a great pleasure for me to watch your videos, dear Lauren. 😍 I love that you share the variety of our country, while often Germany is broken down to Bavaria. It is beautiful, no doubt, but the other parts of Germany are beautiful too. Thank you for entertaining (and educating) me. 💖
Yes, I love that I travel so much and am able to show many areas! So many differences and it´s delightful to discover these wonderful things! Thank you!
Don't be scared - you make our lifes happier as well. Often it doesn't take much to be happy. I love your analogy of walking in the rain just because, without being forced to do so for a specific reason. Sometimes for just being in the moment. While I don't like walking in the rain in the current season, I sometimes love walking in the rain after a hot, dry and dusty summer day to smell the fresh air, or the smell of freshly cut or wet grass... Or watching a toddler jumping into a puddle with full intent, just enjoying the moment without worrying about his clothes getting wet and dirty or the next day. Things that we as adults have simply forgotten to enjoy.
You are right, there are some really terrible things going in the last months (and even years) but sharing ones passion, like you do, makes one self AND the people around you forget it for a little while. Go for 5k!
Dear Lauren! Thank you so much for letting us know your positive thoughts and showing us some of the most wonderful and beautiful places. It is a welcome distraction from all the troubles and miseries that are present in the media day by day. It seems that the negative topics are the majority and all to easily we forget, that it is only the dark side of a generally wonderful world. Thank you again for reminding us not to forget the positive things and be thankful for them each and every day! With just over 5000 subscribers your channel definitely is far underrated. It deserves a lot more attention!
Thank you so much, Ruediger! This really means a lot to me. Absolutely, we really do have a lot to appreciate, and we must enjoy these wonderful things we have!
Ah, lovely Lauren again, with one of her very distinctive, warmhearted videos about Germany and the Germans. I think it is you who brings out the best in Germans with your beautiful video portraits. Thanks, Lauren, and have a nice sunday!
Lauren, you have a lovely enthusiasm that is very infectious. To me, your videos are really a gentle nudge to be more mindful of all the good and all of the beauty we have around us! Thank you for that! Cheers Mario
I love that you say you are germanized, because you go for walk in the rain🌧️😍 My favorite weather to go for a run is light summer rain 😊😍 However, I have to admit that I also love the beautiful blue sky in Boston 😉 Fingers crossed than you will hit your 5000 subs soon! You deserve it ❤️!!!
Hi Lauren, something everyone should keep in mind when moving abroad, you always take yourself with you! Be open minded and don't judge too early! For example, if you are upset about closed stores on Sunday. 🙋♂
Thank you for these wonderful videos. Germany is a jaw droppingly wonderful country and culture. Sadly my observation is the german people are scared to admit they inhabit such a wonderful land and have contributed so much to the world. I hope in time the german people can come to have a balanced and positive view of their history and see what ironically most non-germans see.
Yes, I agree. That’s why I am loving creating this small community here, where people can just enjoy the wonder that is Germany! Thank you, such a thoughtful comment!
Dear Lauren, I have already outed myself as a "lover" of your beautiful voice. But there is one more thing. When you speak in your native language, you do it so clearly and calmly that I can understand everything well. I look and listen to you without noticing that it is actually a foreign language for me. So watching your videos is a win-win-win for me personally. I get very interesting information about my home country, some of which I didn't even know. My eyes realize that there is a beautiful woman taking wonderful pictures in different moods. Your skills as a photographer are amazing you have a flair and a feeling for the great moments as you can see very well in this video. Then there is your wonderful voice that I love to be enchanted by and point no. 4 is that I can repeat and practice my English by the way because you speak so clearly and decelerated. The one or other vocabulary I learn new but with you it goes without effort with a lot of fun in the matter. So Lauren offers not only worth knowing and best entertainment, but also a learning effect in the most beautiful optics. A big hug from me and good luck for your first 5000 subscriptions.
I always love to hear your view, your interest and your passion about German life. German history is so rich in every aspect, I am still learning more and more and it doesn't become boring for me 😁 It's true, sometimes it seems hard to feel really happy these times. I think it starts with accepting that our individual help has limits, we can't help everybody everywhere. But that should not discourage us from doing the best we can to help and support other. And I learned in my life that helping other, even though it's limited, makes me happy. I wish you, Lauren, all the best and may you reach the amount of 5k subscibers soon because you deserve much more than only 5k 😉👍
Wise words from you, Detlef! And even if the help we can individually give is limited, it matters so very much. My favourite story is the Starfish Story. I even made a video about it, filmed on Föhr, because it helps me so much. Have a wonderful Sunday and thank you so much!
@@LaureninGermany I don't know about the "wise" part... 😁 Hach, Föhr.... I have many great memories regarding that island... it's relaxing there, isn't it? Have a wonderful sunday too, Lauren!
@@LaureninGermany Oh yes Utersum... I have seen the video (sorry, I know it sounds corny, but I really have). I have been more around Nieblum and Wyk, visiting some Vogelkojen... like you said, peaceful
Simon Winder's (highly recommended) book on german history 'Germania' is very good at hammering home how diverse Germany is - and why. You can use that book as a travel guide... especially when traveling through Kleinstadt-Deutschland. So... very much the perfect read to go along with Lauren's videos! That Backbuch looks amazing!
@@LaureninGermany Raffle? Does that work? Are you sure your audience is of the none-baking persuasion? With so many germans watching that's surprising. I wish I could afford it right now... maybe need to cut back on Pizza for a bit 😆
Over all, I quite like to live in Germany. Not that there is no room for improvement, but looking at many other countries in the world, I think we are not doing too bad. The only thing thats bugging me - and thats not a shallow joke - is the German winter. The older I get, the more it is annying me. Physically as well as mentally, which is somewhat connected. Btw., I noticed we have something in common: the fondness for a good coffee. I even have the same espresso machine! :)
You need that machine to get through the German Winter! Lol! Yes, it’s long and cold and can be hard to deal with. The Summer is always too short! I got a different portafilter for that machine, which makes it less temperamental, and I feel you can’t do better in that price range! And absolutely, Germany has so much going for it. it’s easy to lose sight of that with the news.
@@LaureninGermany Yes, I also use a Brita filter for the water, also for the water I use in the kettle, the egg cooker ect. The water here has so much lime in it, it ruins all machines in no time, if you dont filter it out. Well, the winter... apart of being dark und ugly, it really affects my health - I spare you the unpleasant details here. Its something that comes with the age I guess. I seriously thought about living somewhere else. But what I need is a english speaking EU country with a mediterranean climate. And since Gibralta is not EU anymore... I'm out of options. :)
@@petebeatminister I have installed a water filter, too! About 3 months ago. You are so right! I haven’t yet had to descale the machine - and you‘ve reminded me, it needs to be changed today, thank you. I get iller in the Winter, too, I have an autoimmune condition, so I really understand. It’s a struggle, and very difficult to do anything about. Except emigrate. And like you said, that’s not really possible!
@@LaureninGermany Yes, its absolutely worth it spending the money for the filter cartridges. The descaling process with this DeLonghi machine is quite complicated, and the original DeLonghi agent is not cheap either. Though, you can use citric acid as well, which is much cheaper. But as I said, there are other uses for filtered water, too. About the migration: well, if I'd be a millionaire it wouldn't be a problem, but with a tiny pension its not so easy. And I dont want to live in Turky or so, where I don't understand the language and end up being stuck with other old age Germans all day.
@@petebeatminister yes, I don’t find the filter to have ended up costing more. The tap water is nicer to drink, and I‘m sure it’s healthier. I’m secretly addicted to those programmes about Rentner im Ausland. Positives and negatives… being very rich seems to be the best option.. but.. oops!
@@LaureninGermany Hi Lauren, how are you today,? I do live in Hamburg, obsiouly i'm not German to, i would like to get to know you a bit more, if you don't mind, how long have you been here, and what or who motivated you to come specifically to Germany?
Thank you, very much and wholeheartedly. A really extraordinary sunday joint: beautiful things said by a beautiful voice and garnished with beautiful images. Please keep doing what you are doing.
Guten Morgen lovely Lauren in Germany...wow wonderful life experience you have 👍👍👍 Danke for video you sharing with us, love you full from Bali, Indonesia 💓💓💓
Don't worry if you don't say anything, I won't tell, my lips are sealed. I think it's very nice how you address the diversity of Germany and then actually show it in your videos. I like that very, very much and it makes me happy. I thank you for that. Every person has to find out for themselves what makes them happy, which places, what things or people around me, that is very individual and maybe not possible every day. For my part, however, I really appreciate where I was born, at what time and what kind of family I have, I'm glad and happy about my parents, my brother I have and the grandparents I had, because I couldn't do that influence myself, so I was really lucky. Have a nice week
Thank you so much, Robert! Yes I too appreciate the freedom of being born where and when I was so much. That I am able to live here, today, when in previous times it would have been unthinkable. The world is getting better, but the news doesn’t show it and it’s tragic for the people who get sucked in to that mindset. Have a wonderful Sunday! I was in Kassel yesterday and thought of you..because I only filmed the nature lol!
@@LaureninGermany That's really cool, nice to hear that you had a wonderful time. The nature offers so many amazing things to explore, enjoy and to relax. That's what we need to protect, because it helps us to survive and not all the money so many people love so much.

Dear Lauren, I love watching your wonderful videos and you always present us with the beautiful nature and the beautiful old architecture and castles from north to south Germany. Lovely Greetings from the north sea coast ( East Frisia) in northern Germany.🥰💜💙💚👍
Dear Lauren, that is another beautiful pearl of a video in a long row of treasures you`ve already created! :-)) A big Dankeschön to you, again, I always enjoy those gems so very much! 😀This time you went north again and I was so delighted when I noticed it! I myself am a "Nordlicht" by birth and have been living in the northwest area until today (never left it for 56 years now except for holidays), and I know all the east and north fresian islands along the coast from my childhood. I believe I surely do have an eye for the beauty of this country and its thousands of magical corners and places, I also know those sceneries and the coast in their different lights, moods and seasons. But when I dive into the atmosphere you spin with those pictures and sights, together with the music (so well chosen every time and also in this video, love it!) and your special way to tell the story of the area, the people and the buildings, I become so very proud and happy to be born in such a lovely country! 😀 I`ve always been interested in folk tales, also in the old traditional german tales like the brothers Grimm once collected while wandering through the country and listening to what the people knew and had to tell. When I see all those pretty historical houses, the mills, taverns and market places, the bell towers and churches everywhere, the castles, old gates, wells and cobblestones, the small bridges and city walls through your eyes, your camera, together with the music you chose for that places, I can clearly see how back in time all this must have been inspired people to tell stories about sad fishermen and good hunters, clever farmers and greedy millers, about witches and wizards, princes, princesses, good kings and vengeful queens - or about tiny little villages, surrounded by fields and rolling hills, overgrown with firs, or calm lakes in the middle of mystical green woods with old beeches and oaks. It`s all still there, for hundreds of years and until today, we just must open our eyes and put our fairytale glasses on, and we can see Rotkäppchen coming along the way, we can imagine a witches Knusperhäuschen between the tree trunks of a near forest and we hear the dwarfs sing their song when they come home to Schneewittchen on a summer`s evening. For me, your videos always show the ancient fairytale side of Germany, the mystic soul and special atmosphere of the old cities and villages, the lovelyness of the historical landscape and surroundings, the speaking old walls. You do not "only" show the facts of today, I can see and feel the whole invisible background and "wonder" of it through your camera. Because, isn`t it a "wonder", that we managed to care for and rescue all those buildings in their centauries old, historical form and shape? It is not only the buildings that have been safed - together with them we are having a country full of living tales and often places-related folk songs, and all this can be touched, felt and lived until today. With all that we hear about some people`s bad plans about what they want to do with those cities and the people in Europe I worry very much about all this; and I also do think of England and what is already going on there. If this shall be the change we must face - It will be a great loss of freedom and traditions, of old customs, story and song. How would our songs and stories change then, about what would we read or sing in 30 years and what would our children know about fairies dancing in the fields or a princess sleeping a hundred years behind a wall of roses? Just yesterday I thought about our fairytales and old traditions, every country has their own; all this would make not much sense anymore. So your videos in some way also are a "voice" for our old traditions, landscapes and places - and for our freedom to visit all this or live there and fill our hearts with it whenever we want or need. We are born as free people and we care for the world we live in. We need to stay in direct touch with all this (and ourselves), it is our roots. In the times we are in now we can help people to remember their heritage, to ground them and make them love and care for the things they could lose so easily now. Remember, feeling love and being connected will help people very much now, so hopefully they do not forget when it is time to stand up for it.
It really is a worrying time we´re living through. Some of the freedoms of thought and expression seem to be restricted, people are instantly offended... That´s why I hope to give us all a little moment of escape into a gentler world, to gather strength. Hugs to you, ShadowHall xxx
@@LaureninGermany Yes ... thank you! 🙂 But I do not see it only as "escape", it also is a kind of "finding connection" again to where we come from and what matters: The natural world and the beautiful things like cities and villages and the way we used to live - with less on the one hand but so much more well-ness and meaning on the other. Offers like yours help us to remember what matters and what has to be protected, not only a landscape or way of living, but also our emotional richness and the power that lies in being connected and grounded in a free life. It is so much more than a lovely illusion to enjoy in a world full of threats! What you show to us is a part of us and our history, we cannot make a cut right here on our human development and suddenly become a kind of "funktioning machines", emotionally and practically reduced and controlled to be "handled" easier than before. Your videos also seem like "Look and feel, where we come from ... (and see where it all is going now.)" You do not say or mean the second but show the first in a way that goes right to the heart. We already see and hear enough of the second, but the first helps people see what is in danger and find an attitude towards what some want to be human reality soon. So it is not "just" escape to have a little break from all this new s**t, it helps remembering what could be lost for us if we don`t move a bit. Life and living is not about functioning in a way which suits some in power, it`s about loving and feeling, expressing, caring and letting grow in responsibility for all and everything together. There would be a big loss of human values if anything like this would become our future. So having in mind and heart what is and always has been precious to us - life and health, peace and justice, open communication, fearlessness and freedom .. to get in touch again with some of the good things of life makes people stronger, more hopeful and conscious. Instead of feeding our hearts hope, love and confidence, our brains are fed fear and resignation for some time now. I see your videos as a step against it - in a lovely and gentle way. ;-)

You are such a wonderful person, Lauren. Your lovely britishness warms my heart everytime and eases my 'Fernweh' for England. Now about the video: I know the feeling. I stopped watching the news because it just made me miserable. It would be really nice to get a good news for every bad one and I am glad to see you finding coping mechanisms. Yes germans tend to hold back when in "public", not all (my wife sure doesn't :D) but the majority I'd say. However, once infected with something joyful they love to share it with othes. Lovely to see you getting interested in the german heritage. It's something that has been really lost sadly, mainly driven away by centuries of forced christianity and being stained by a germanic craze in the NS era. However I think it is important to see where this wonderful country and it's people came from. I hope you have a lovely sunday. Güße aus Minga
Lol, I say Minga, too! Whereabouts are you from? 🏴 My mother was English, btw, my accent confuses people . Yes, when I see what’s going on in GB I get so sad. I'm also really sadden by what has happened to the UK ever since the brexit-vote, but as you said, some things, there's just nothing one can do. Minga has been my home for nearly 15 years now and will be for many, many years to come (my wife looooves this city so much). Hallo Lauren, thank you for the wonderful video and sharing some of your feelings. I agree that the town has good taste🙂 I also feel brought down by all the bad news and negative vib in the world. It seems impossible to escape. I'm glad you are able to find positive elements about Germany, to help make make you happy. The history about Germanic tribes, actually Europe in general is mind boggling. In 2016 I volunteered on a dig in northern England (The North), along Hadrian's wall. One group found a number of pieces that came from southern Germanic Celts. These finds and the fact that most of my genetics seem to originate from southern Germany and Austria, got me very interested in the ancient history of central Europe. Hope to visit Heuneburg and Hallstadt in the near future to see the displays and reconstructions. Sorry....getting longwinded ...Cheers, Peter
You never need to say sorry about writing a longer comment, you are always very interesting, Peter! I was just watching a documentary about what happened after the Romans left Britain and of course, they showed Hadrian‘s Wall three days ago. It seems to me that it was a mistake to build it, from a Roman perspective. Like giving up on empire expansion. And then Caligula made it too easy not to serve in the army, and that was that. I have become fascinated with history over the last four years. It’s becoming quite a passion, actually. Being on a dig must have been fascinating- and cold, there! Have you done a DNA test? I really want to. I wonder where my eye colour is from. Spanish or Roman? Romania? 23 and me is banned here, I believe.
Regarding genetic testing, my daughter purchased two test for me. One was 23 and me, the other was Ancestry. The results pretty much matched and it both tests also confirmed a rumor about my paternal grandmother. In a nutshell, I'm 50% southern German, about 25%western and northwestern European and 25% Czech and Polish. It was said that my paternal grandmother was a gypsy from Poland ...so I think the genes prove it. Interesting that 23 and me is banned. I wonder what the reason is. All the best! Peter
@@pgoessnitzer that’s great to know that they were both the same! I think the government has decided that it’s a security risk… I’ll look into it and keep you up to date!

"...but I'm _hopeless_ at waiting when I have something to _share."_ I've gotten that impression when it comes to Germany; that there's something new to share around every corner. We really have no idea, in the US, the cultural _poverty_ to which we subject ourselves by not _connecting_ with the rest of the world at _every opportunity._ Our attitude toward Germany is: 🤔 "Germany? You mean that country that was divided by the Cold War?" "Well, I suppose, if you want to look to the recent past." 🤔 "Oh. You mean the main European adversary in World War II?" "Well, I suppose, if you want to look to the somewhat _less_ recent past." But of course, this is the US. We have no _idea_ what it is for a country to truly be _historic._ We read about the _First_ World War, the _Second_ World War, the _Cold_ War, and we think we know _Germany._ 🤔 "Germanic... _'tribes?'_ Somehow, a Native American tribe managed to cross the Atlantic to reach _Germany?_ I find that _very_ hard to believe."
LOL! You really introduced me to a different way of thinking! That´s why I always feel we need to be a bit kinder to our American friends - they haven´t got the easy of access to all this cultural information.
It's a really nice place to visit in summer. The 17th century building is still on its original floor plan with the upper level designed as an open gallery with a really low ceiling. There is also kind of an in-between level adding to the baffling premodern design. Along with the Medieval fantasy decor. The local LARP groups often meet there (last I heard, been out of the area for a while) in full costume to play out high diplomacy over a banquet. They have a little backyard and benches in the front so sitting outside is an option. The name of it comes out of a DSA (Das Schwarze Auge, a TTRPG) adventure. When the non-smoker protection law came into effect, the city had to send people into all establishments to check for compliance. They sent two of them into the Keiler because they were scared of the owner. Who was a bearded bear of a man with a gruff demeanor. The restaurant was however found in excellent compliance with a smoking area in a small separate room in the back. So they soiled their pantaloons over nothing, really.

I think the mess now shows that we lived here in germany in peaceful eden for many decades. but we didn't know how lucky we have been.

Hallo Lauren, ich freue mich, wieder ein tolles Video von dir zu sehen. Deine Videos haben mir schon so viele Anregungen für Besuche gegeben, nur leider läuft mir so langsam die Zeit davon.
Oh absolutely! We lose our appreciation of how WONDER-full this world is! Thank you so much, Opa Andre! I always look for a comment from you. ❤️

German history is so rich in every aspect, I am still learning more and more and it doesn't become boring for me 😁
It's true, sometimes it seems hard to feel really happy these times.

I just saw this. Sisu: NEVER cut back on pizza. I feel rather faint after reading that.

I like that very, very much and it makes me happy. I thank you for that. Every person has to find out for themselves what makes them happy, which places, what things or people around me, that is very individual and maybe not possible every day.

Thank you so much!
I`ve always been interested in folk tales, also in the old traditional german tales like the brothers Grimm once collected while wandering through the country and listening to what the people knew and had to tell.
I see your videos as a step against it - in a lovely and gentle way. ;-)
How lovely you are! And I feel the same, I´m trying to remind people of what we have, while we have it.

Ah- thank you, Peter! I’m just about to make a coffee- it’s on you! Much appreciated!
Peter

@@lazyperfectionist1 ich hoffe, Du hast mich noch falsch verstanden? Ich mache ein bisschen Blödsinn, ich mag deine Kommentare sehr!
Yes we sure do need more happiness because of what is happening in the world . Thank you xx
Thank you so much, Leigh. It’s my main goal with each video at the moment. To spread a little joy.
Germans are one of the nicest people in Europe ( i am not German )
They are very decent folk, and underappreciated!
🥰
JC, I'm so verliebt in You! ❤🌹❤️
Ach, so good to see you again, Bianca 🤗

Thank you so much! I really appreciate this 🤗
You should try the "schwarzer Keiler" in Nienburg - the Interior is tremendous!
I have heard that there’s an amazing old restaurant there- is that it?! I must go back!
@@LaureninGermany exactly - its a medieval style tavern - and its interior is incredible. Even better than "Finyas Taverne" in Nürnberg (and let me tell you that that one is already unbelievable)
@@kayneahnung3661 woah, thank you for the tips!
and Lauren ... so many tribes of Germany have moved abroad like the Angeln and Saxons and they setlled in ... guess ...
yessssssssss the UK ! that is why so many in Sussex ( South Saxony) , Wessex ( West Saxony ) and Essex ( East Saxony) have deep ancient German genes in them which they do not recognize .. ( and don't like to ) ...
and they called that county anglo saxony ..
They absolutely do not like to recognise it, already for centuries, I think!
@@LaureninGermany as well as the royal family rooted in Hannover ( George I ) and all the Battenbergs and so many others .... also they try to hide that ( reason for named Windsor !)

Thank you so much!
Were you standing in an onionfield for that last sentence?
Because I felt tears welling up in my eyes.
I think I was, actually… I had to re-record some bits. Those blooming onions… 🤗😘
What does one sing at the Wasserschloss Norderburg? I suppose two voices and one piano 😊
Exactly!
No worry be happy my dear Lauren.there is no perfect Country.but to find the Best Country to settle down is still possible.
You’re right. I think Germany is an amazing country to live in.
Do you do travel guiding?
What do you mean? I haven’t heard that expression, sorry!
@@LaureninGermany Do you do work as a tour guide in Germany?
lol. travel + guiding = advisor of best places to visit due to experience or knowledge? I apologize for my messy improvisation of English. I can be the worst.
No, if you have a look at more of my videos, particularly the one about Bremen, you´ll see what I do! ua-cam.com/video/Oa1LpLmTchE/v-deo.html
@@LaureninGermany Ah! You are an opera singer and love to perform for people. You have such a beautiful voice. I took opera singing lessons here and there. I have so much love and respect for opera: there is nothing more deep and moving than a good performance.
"...but I'm _hopeless_ at waiting when I have something to _share."_
I've gotten that impression when it comes to Germany; that there's something new to share around every corner. We really have no idea, in the US, the cultural _poverty_ to which we subject ourselves by not _connecting_ with the rest of the world at _every opportunity._ Our attitude toward Germany is:
🤔 "Germany? You mean that country that was divided by the Cold War?"
"Well, I suppose, if you want to look to the recent past."
🤔 "Oh. You mean the main European adversary in World War II?"
"Well, I suppose, if you want to look to the somewhat _less_ recent past."
But of course, this is the US. We have no _idea_ what it is for a country to truly be _historic._ We read about the _First_ World War, the _Second_ World War, the _Cold_ War, and we think we know _Germany._
🤔 "Germanic...
Dornum was the second holiday for us about 35 years ago. But I can't remember this castles 🤔
Really? Did you stay right at the sea and not go into the village? I promise, they’re really there!
Wer were at Pension Schienfatt a bit outside the village. Is is so long ago and we were young. We didn't care for castles 🙂
@@herzogbalu ahhh! That’s fair enough! Sand castles are much more interesting at that age!
You said it right ;-)
@@herzogbalu I always think the children at the north sea on holiday must have a great time.
Oh Dornum, spent the summer there 2 years ago.
It’s nice, isn’t it? Great air, great for long walks and good sleep. I always feel very relaxed by the end of a visit.
You are beautiful inside out Lauren 🌹
Aw, thank you so much!
when you can financially affordit you can be happy anywhere.
Not anywhere, but it money certainly helps, enormously.
Ayoo! Der Schwarze Keiler! Großartiger Laden.
Trifft man Elbenkrieger und Landsknechte.
Ayooo.... Sardo???
Ich muss dahin, in diesen Keiler!
@@MrHodoAstartes lol! Pantaloons! I want to see it more and more. (With clean pantaloons!)
i was having a video in a empty park 06.00 am just the sound of the bird the peace etc somebody just came in with 2 dogs a midlle aged woman she started to me no video no photo ,i said to her you came inside my picture the answer was egal some

Even Germans can't do happy for to long; just doesn't feel natural! ;)
We Welsh get nervous about it, we expect something will go wrong if we‘re too happy.

Repurposing of structures in Germany is a custom that will continue indefinitely. They build things to LAST.
Absolutely! May I suggest this video of mine to you? There are two great examples of this in it: ua-cam.com/video/Xp_80vA5QIc/v-deo.html
