I believe your camera operator has a future in cinema!!! Thank you for the tour! Please do more during our summer heat and let us know what works!! Cheers Todd from Louisiana!!
I really enjoy your garden tours. Not many California gardeners to relate to. I have a question about your tibouchina. When does it flower? I planted mine last year and immediately dropped a lot of its leaves. It's leafing out now but I wonder when is it supposed to flower? Have a happy mother's day.💐🏵🌷🌻
Summer is the bloom time here in California, that said, some I’ve seen bloom most of the year. They are more established. I just hacked mine back and am awaiting it’s recovery therefore feel this season is a toss up. Hoping for normal behaviour next year! Thank you!!!
@@PowertotheFlower Thank you for responding. I meant do they have nectar? I'm guessing the visiting hummingbirds feed off of them? If so they have nectar. 😊
It depends on the variety if they can tolerate full sun… But typically they want a part sun situation. In full sun their leaves often become crispy and they require a lot more water to keep them healthy. They are evergreen in our area meaning they keep the colour year-round they definitely grow in the spring and summer producing more leaves and a bushier look.
