Being from South Georgia 🇬🇸 ,that's exactly how we did it when we we're younger, But I'm 60yrs old, them we're the good old day's, Thanks for the memories and your reaction hope you have a blessed day 🙏sending you love from Lafayette Georgia 🙏 🍑
There was a point in this video where he was right behind you and it looked like you were wearing his cowboy hat! ❤️😂 love it! I took a screenshot but I couldn’t post it here. At 3.37 in the video.
"Swerving Like I'm George Jones" is a nod to country LEGEND George Jones, who had a habit of showing up to his concerts, and award shows, drunk. Sometimes he missed his own concerts because he was drunk.
Yes, I remember when he released a second version with the rapper Ludacris doing the rap sections. I'm not a huge fan of that style of music but there are ones I enjoy. Speaking of Ludacris, he does a song with Carrie Underwood called The Champion as well.
This was written by Brantley Gilbert who you also need to check out. Try Country Must Be Country Wide. And Jason Aldean is from Georgia and has many great ones. As mentioned by someone else I love She’s Country as well as Drowns the Whiskey, Any Old Barstool, and You Make it Easy which was co-written by Morgan Wallen, his first #1 as a songwriter not long after he first got to Nashville. And the greatest rabbit hole of all is the incomparable Eric Church!! ♥️😎
Brantley Gilbert co-wrote “Dirt Road Anthem.” Suggestions Brantley Gilbert One Hell Of An Amen Bottoms Up Small Town Throwdown The Weekend You Don’t Know Her Like I do Kick It In The Sticks Stone Cold Sober Saving Amy Just As I Am
Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford co-wrote this song , they also did a remix to this song called "Dirt Road Anthem Revisited" where Colt ford dose the rapping, they also add a verse to the end where Brantley Gilbert dose the rapping on the last verse ,if you want to check out , Colt ford is a country music rapper that u should go his rabbit hole for good songs .
His reference to swerving like I'm George Jones is because George Jones was one of the great country legends. He was a bad alcoholic! Got arrested for drunk driving several times! He another one you should learn about his life. Jason Aldean was definitely flowing with some awesome bars up in his country or mixed rapping song. Whatever you want to call it! He's really good too!
Jason performed this on a televised awards show (someone else will remember details I'm sure), and the rapper Ludacris joined him and did the rap sections. Its fun to watch. You can find it on UA-cam somewhere. :)
If you are interested in country rap then you should check out Waylon Jennings grandson Struggle...he is an amazing artist just like his grandparents. Also his best friend Jellyroll is another amazing example of country rap
"Hick-Hop" is a unique sub-genre of country. It's very divisive. Personally if it has a good beat and makes my morning/evening commute a little more enjoyable. Then I don't really care if its country, mumble rap or opera lol. Through the early 2000's we had a wave of actual Hip-Hop artist being featured in several songs. First it was usually just a good friend of the country performer and did the rappers did the chorus. Or the "hook" since rappers like to be different. Once these crossovers started getting radio play and topping the charts. The floodgates were open and we had an entirely new sub-genre of music. It shows no signs of stopping either. Just a few years back Carrie Underwood released "The Champion" which featured Ludacris. It is an incredibly catchy tune. Then "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X featuring Billy Ray Cyrus recently spent 19 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That was the new, and still is, the all-time record for consecutive weeks spent at the top spot. Which is pretty mental considering it beat the likes of Whitney Houston (14 weeks) and Mariah Carey (16 weeks)
you should do the review where he did it with Ludacris also you may want to check out the first person who ever performed the song his name is Colt Ford and all of these dudes are Georgia men but I think you may like it
Entertaining blog. I'm really enjoying it. I got a great song for you because it reminds me of you; a song about stepping out of you own comfort zones and seeing that there's a whole world out there. Check out: Southern Comfort Zone by Brad Paisley. keepin' country all day!

Matt Kennon is probably my favorite current "This guy should be a bigger star!" name. So much great music by him that will just tear your heart out. "The Call" and "You Had To Pick On Me" (both great songs) got a bit of radio airplay around here. But some of my favorites are "You Can Still Wear White", "Daddy Don't Go", and "Wake Up Dancing".
I forgot how much I liked this song...it grew on me after while. Another great song and artist to check out is the great Don Williams the gentle giant..."Good ol' Boys like me" brings a tear to my eye.

I prefer Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford's version, personally. Brantley Gilbert is a great artist. Has some tear jerkers and some outlaw. My go to are Saving Amy, G.R.I.T.S., Read Me My Rights, My Kind of Party, Play Me That Song. Big Green Tractor, He Can't Even Bait a Hook, Guns by Jason are great too. Jason Aldean was the artist performing during the Las Vegas shooting, just as a reminder.
Jason Aldean rocks. But as suggested, if you like this, check out anything by Brantley Gilbert. ;) You won't be sorry. Oh, start with "Bottoms Up". You are welcome lol
Lol your reaction when starts rapping 😅😅 heard it about a million times still catches me by surprise. Jason is awesome lucky enough to see him at country2country in Dublin in 2015 even better live. Night Train is another of his brilliant songs but he has so many to choose from
You know the more you listen to all this country, the more of a little attitude you're showing with that side smile and head nod! Get you a pair of cowboy boots - there is nothing like the feel of standing in a pair of boots! You're getting it!
Stop right now! This is Bro-Country a separate genre from Country music. You nailed it at 2:13 when rap was introduced. This is different than square dance calling which is the original rap. This is the death knell of traditional country music. Rabbit hole, No, Black Hole is more like it.
Another great song review and a must watch is Tim McGraw's true story of his father finding out he had cancer. Song is called, "Live like you were dying." George
Welcome to the "Is this really country?" debate. I see it already forming in your comments. I'd say about half of Jason's music is about half country. But I love it. I grew up on a lot of John Mellencamp and Credence Clearwater Revival and Jason scratches that rural rock itch for me. This song, though awesome, is 100 percent rock and roll as far as I'm concerned.
His song "fly over states" is really good
Good job young man. God bless you and yours may God bless the USA
Jason Aldean ft Kelly Clarkson Don't you want to stay!! Awesome! Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood If I didn't love you!
Burnin it down is another amazing song by Jason.
This song! When I’m having a bad day I get in my car and I drive and I Blair it’s so loud! It’s awesome
This song is like a mix between country and rap

Great reaction as usual!! Please check out “She’s County” by him!

He does a good duet with Kelly Clarkson called "Don't You Wanna Stay". You might like it. Jason's got a great voice.
Jason has a bunch of great songs, this one was co-wrote by Brantley Gilbert who is a great country artist.
He’s definitely got songs I like better than this one, but this is the attention grabber with a bit of crossover energy.
George Jones was such a drink that he couldn't finish many of his concerts. It was awful.
