I was thinking the same thing. He had a perfect runout and the commentators just kept talking smack the whole time about how he's making bad decisions. Lots of players have atypical styles and methods, but you gotta play what you're most comfortable with.

Just top spin, the pace combined with the light white causes it to throw wide before the spin takes effect

Well one of them has been world pool champion and its not Arfan. That being said both great pool players, Mark isn't your typical snooker player who plays pool.
Absolutely dreadful commentary on this match. The beginning was terrible, with the commentators slagging off Dad's chances and seeming to award the win to Selby by default. The middle section was constant drivel about wrong shot this, wrong shot that (again, usually towards Dad but not always), not seeing shots because they don't have the camera angle (FFS - get a feed of the overhead camera), and then towards the end finally giving some respect to Dad, who played some excellent shots.
This is exactly what I thought when watching this! Absolute awful commentary. We know selby is amazing but cmon give the other chap some props
