These Rock & Roal bands have got to get these schedules set & get their asses back out on the road now that Covid is dying off, Thank you Lord 😊🙏 Long Live Rock & Roal
Chaz Hell yeah buddy that rocked.!!!!!! Rudy Sarzo ,Brian Tichy,Joel Hoekstra you guys are so awesome thank you for this vid!!!!!! night of the living shred!!!!!!!!!!!
I just absolutely love this. This was just so much fun to see these incredibly talented artists ply their trade with so much happiness & good heart. Richard :) :) :)
Listening to the original recording of this song, there was some extreme whammying going on towards the end of the main solo (around 6:21) that even Randy Rhoads didn't try to recreate perfectly on stage, and a lot of guitarists have been following in his footsteps ever since.
Except that Eddie only uses his right index finger for tapping. Jeff Watson pioneered 8-finger tapping in rock. I say "in rock" because jazz player Stanley Jordan has been doing 8-finger tapping forever.
The black Les Paul that Watson is playing is what Marty Friedman needs to play. Marty, please play the Les Pauls in your collection more often live. These gentlemen are incredible and if Marty would play Les Pauls, with his incredible technique, he would demonstrate as Watson and Hoekstra (including Randy) that players that play Les Pauls do not have to play "blues" phrases strickly.
Funny Joel is trying to pretend to be impressed by Jeff’s playing. Although Jeff is a great guitarist and his early contributions to NR cannot be overlooked. Joel is a far more accomplished player than Jeff. In every category. Jeff is a one dimensional player. Joel’s diversity and effortless playing is light years ahead of Jeff
EVH clone? You talkin to me? :) I love Randy's playing. I guess I was suggesting he does not get the love from the press, etc. Are we really seeing new articles on Billy Corrigan, Jimmy Vaughn, Uli Jon Roth?
Awesome. The drums need to back the eff off though. Jeezzz. Way too damn hard/loud. The dynamics are shot to hell if you've got no head room. Listen to how Lee Kerslake approached the song. It's a heavy drum track - not a bashing drum track. When the drums are loud/hard/rushed it kills the song for the other players. Lead singer - learn the fucking song. I knew it after two listens back in 1982.
Well, it is a Les Paul..... completely wrong..... but got the right guitar at least..... Still not known for Randy..... Jackson STARTED their business with him..... for some reason, track wouldn't play...... that is probably a good thing...... I am tired of being let down by some of my favorite musicians. STILL PLAYED THROUGH THE RHOADS AMPS...... WHICH ARE BLACK......... WRONG !!!!!!! FAILURE !!!!! Y'ALL SHOULD FUCKING KNOW BETTER !!!
Watson and Hoekstra together; how awesome is that!
JEFF WATSON has always been an amazing Guitarist!!😎👍🏻👍🏻
JH tone is pleasing to my ears
Joel nailed the tone.
Good to see Jeff doing well and looks happy. And still has all 8 fingers remembering their places on the neck !!!
I like how the singer doesn't try to sound like Ozzy. He made it his own and I like that.

Jake E Lee refused to play with a whammy bar and still did a great job on this solo: ua-cam.com/video/yWfSyhcJyHw/v-deo.html

+Ned Inge Never mind, I see its Chas West.
Good to see some Les Paul love
Check that. Goddam I hate a whammy bar or a locking nut on a Les Paul. Sacrilege!!!
