"How could I be lying to him... I'm literally looking right at him" and the shot of Elliot is top three moments of all time in the series for me. It's so re-grounding and its so seamless, I don't know why I just loved that moment.
"How do you know that you're not talking to him right now?" "Your eyes. Elliot always looks like his eyes are about to pop out of his head, You're way more...squinty."
Seeing Angela talk that way about the future knowing she is thinking about her deceased Mother coming back to life is heartbreaking. She is completely indoctrinated at this point, and I had no idea at the time. This series is a masterpiece.
Mac Qwayle (spelling?) did the score. Just found some UA-cams of him performing the instrumental score live. It’s on Apple Music. Look it up and give it a listen while you drive, or even better, code.
That was clear since the episode aired. What I found interesting though was he saying "while he exists". At the time we thought he wanted to destroy Elliot and take over, but now we know what he really meant.
Qnd he literly Co tradicts himself.if he wantet to take over that theory never made much sense becaus he for instance was asking why someone would hurt elliot
I have never been so entranced by a scene as when Angela was divulging her motives. The acting, the lighting, the camera angle, the music. Just so amazing. I felt like I was tripping. I have been sober for nearly 2 years, and nothing in that time has created within me that ethereal/surreal feeling I had while using. This did it. Don’t know why or exactly how, but wow. Mind blowing.
Truly. I recently got a really good pair of headphones, and wow. Watching this show with them has made me notice so many insane audio details. Beautiful. I truly notice something new to love about this show on every single rewatch.
Looking back, the song choice for this episode is beautiful, I mean without any spoilers it paints a very distinct picture of what is "real" and isn't and what we think feels real. Maybe im being overemotional but hard to put into words.
And it's weird there's sometimes an opposite effect going on with villains. Vera's the obvious one but there's others like the prison warden played by Craig Robinson with his closing speech to Elliot
Man... This show is just something else. I think this show, even though it wasn't as popular, was far ahead of its time. I think people will realize what a master piece this show truly is..
This scene is the cornerstone of how a good character development is done. Seeing how Angela hope for her life to be same as it was with her mother alive is heartbreaking. Even she herself know that it isn't possible but whiterose showed her a world of possibilities and she believed it because she wanted to. We all believe in something. We all cling to a world way beyond we know we might never get to go there. And when she realises what she's done it's like her life had ended. She became the one she geared up to destroy, on of their envoy. The whole show is like that everyone is believing in something they think is a wonderland, a place of belonging and happiness but in reality it's just another prison they have created for themselves, a fable of a lost time, lost dreams, of irreparable damage and unbearable longings.
I feel like Angela's version of Justice started when the beat @9:02 but her Justice was just a Touch...a Sweet Touch... P.S Does anyone know if they actually turned off the Cities power or Just on that street to film this part of the scene? I really would like to think they did that would be so amazing
This scene changed my life in every way, thanks to Mr. Robot I feel like I'm a better person in every way. Thank you SAM ESMAIL for doing wonderful things that change people, thank you for your art, thank you MR ROBOT.
I’ve never actually imagined this song to any scene but when I seen it and heard it for the first time, it just clicked. That this would be an amazing show ❤️✨
It's not always easy to tell, because the line between some alters can be blurry, but there are differences, body langage, prosody, the way you look at things, your facial expressions...
Yes, the story finished. There was going to be a 5th season but Sam Esmail & everyone else behind the show decided that they'd only need 1 more season to properly conclude it.
*Spoiler* You've almost convinced me I'm real 🎶 I need something more 🎶 I need something more 🎶 Sam had already given us a clue in the lyrics of the song 😁
So at this point it's pretty clear that every main character is actually internal in Elliot. The FBI, Dark Army, etc. The lights simply cannot come on with the passing of the bus. The lights never went out to begin with. Man I need to actually watch the show instead of bingeing these clips.... *facepalm*
Yeah it took me three Clips to figure out the there's like something wrong with him like multiple personality disorder or something everything's happening in his head and like 90% of it is not real

Daft Punk's "Touch" plays in the background as she talks about how untouchable evilcorp is 👌
I found out about this song in this episode, it's amazing
Can't believe it's been 2 years now since Daft Punk stuck a fork in it, announcing they are done :(
I thought it was about Angela's want for holding on to her ideal of love in the world. Justice from evil corp.
this show was rly one of the best things i ever saw
I literally cried when she manipulated Elliot, especially when he woke up and realized what was happening
Ella pensó que todo se revertiría 😢
angela has some of the craziest character development i’ve seen in anything
right?? this scene was surreal, loved her character in the third season though, she was so cool
Yeah, and she has a good theme song which she sang to go with it.
How Angela manages stress while Mr Robot was freaking out is inspiring stuff.
I don't know who's responsible for the music composition/selection on this show, but man they nailed it every time..
I think Sam esmail said in an ama that he picks every song or most of the time
Mac Qwayle (spelling?) did the score. Just found some UA-cams of him performing the instrumental score live. It’s on Apple Music. Look it up and give it a listen while you drive, or even better, code.
Mac Quayle. It's in the intro credits of every episode.
I'm a big fan of the Chromatics as well as the Drive (2011) soundtrack so Mr Robot feels like a nice continuation of that
@@apseudonym Yes but i think Sam Esmail chose some of the songs, like this one. It's Touch from Daft Punk.
0:43 I love how the shadow on Mr. Robot's face makes him so sinister. Almost like he's frowning.
Also note when the light fades away from Mr. Robot's face Rami Malik's silhouette is faded in.
Evil eyebrows
Rewatching this show after the finale is insane it change everything
Mr Robot is talking about the Mastermind. "Everything we do he will slow us down"
That was clear since the episode aired. What I found interesting though was he saying "while he exists". At the time we thought he wanted to destroy Elliot and take over, but now we know what he really meant.

Yes. This scene gave me chills.
The sound at 5:28 sounds a lot like the carrier wave you hear on the come-up with DMT?
God, the audio engineering on this show is amazing.

For people wondering about the song name towards the end: Touch (feat Paul williams) by daft punk
Thanks its beatuful
That two minute monologue at the end is so heartachingly beautiful and even more rewatching it after finishing the show.
this show is a masterpiece. rewatching it only makes it even better
Just listening to outro.
I finished the show about 3 days ago.
literally almost everyone (except darlene and krista) hated elliot so much they wanted to see him suffer...even angela.
And it's weird there's sometimes an opposite effect going on with villains. Vera's the obvious one but there's others like the prison warden played by Craig Robinson with his closing speech to Elliot
@@Onigirli worst part is that vera was like every abuser/stalker towards elliot and shayla

This show has absolutely no business being as good as it is.

I still have no idea what White rose showed Angela
This scene made me hate Angela because she manipulated Elliot.
That is true, but she herself has also been manipulated. At this point she has been completely indoctrinated by Whiterose.

I love the song selection of this scene. Touch by Daft Punk and Paul Williams. Give it a listen. It’s a 8 minute magical music journey
Id love to see Rami do some (not all, I like the mystery) of Slater's scenes. This one would be great without ruining any serious story beats.
I’ve never actually imagined this song to any scene but when I seen it and heard it for the first time, it just clicked. That this would be an amazing show ❤️✨
6:57 bruh-
How many of you agree that in each country there is company like Ecorp.
so minister zhang aka whiterose manipulated angela, and angela manipulated elliot?
Yeap
Wow!!! So she knows this is the other personality / person??? She can tell??
and she's going with it? That would freak me out...

what's the name of the soundtrack when angela and irvin talk?
