I’m so glad you are collecting and studying these species of under studied plants . You are correct in being puzzled by all the wrong names. I also had the “Rhipsalis capilliformis “ but I just found it under Rhipsalis burchellii. These plants are very intriguing and I too want to buy more of them ✨
The first one that looks like the more hairy clavata, was sold to me as a baccifera that has longer segments and bigger segments but have both too! Love your video thanks

Thanks so much,great collection, I had a great collection not as varied as yours but older plants as I lived 23yrs in same place and collected for over 50yrs, sold off most all became homeless but not ,on the street. Sold over 90% of my plants ,still have a few left but wanting to rebuild ,I don't know where I can get good chunks I've been getting dinky pieces on the Internet, but plan to rebuild of the hobby so if you can give information where you're getting some of those nice starts I'd love to buy some myself thank you God-bless, I have a wonderful patio now so a smaller collection bye bye. PS I'm 75 so waiting around for some these small starts isn't very practical thank you.
Hi! Thank you! Wow, it sounds like your collection was fantastic! These aren’t always labeled correctly but www.etsy.com/shop/HorticultLLC is a good place to get a lot of variety quickly. They sell a rooted variety pack or a cutting variety pack in multiple sizes. They also let you request specific ones. They sometimes sell larger plants. I just keep an eye on Etsy and eBay. Sometimes, I order rarer ones from overseas but they are small cuttings. They do grow really fast in comparison to most other epiphytic cacti so I do find a they reach a decent size in 2 years or so. @@EpiphyticCacti Darn they are no longer available but there are others. Right now I am using a 4 foot wide 6 foot tall closet organizer I added an extra shelf to from the regular plant stands. I really love your stands though. Mine is on large wheels so it it easy to roll to the bathroom for washing the plants off when needed. And it holds a mixture or rhips and other epipthyitic plants.

My collection looks a lot like your I have the same clavata problem, i,ve got one with short stems and the other with longer Your lasgest leave rhipsalis is not Elliptica, elliptica is small, this leave rhipsalis are 🤯 because there is 10 species: crispata, Elliptica, oblonga, russellii, Platycarpa, Goebeliana, Occidentalis, pachyptera, bartholi, cuneata. Also there are 3 types of paradoxa, Catunelata is the 3 of them, she is a mid way to normal paradoxa to Pacheco, she is in the middle but very hard to find Warginianum takes Forever to grow 😂😭 Also i saw trigona somewhere in the video Hope to see your collection grow, you take so good care and it show on the plant. 🌿🌿🌿
🤣 I’m glad someone out there recognizes my pain and confusion! Wow, so I almost had Catenulata (Oops, I meant Rhipsalis paradoxa ssp. septentrionalis) but unbelievably it got lost in the mail! It’s so true some of them are extremely difficult to find and even more difficult to know if you found what you think you found! 😂
My ramulosa cutting never took off and is dead....the only cutting out of 6 that did not make it! I had and inch long piece that I tried to save and tried everything before it got so bad but did not make it I will have to get another this spring
