- Sky News host Andrew Bolt says “look at reality” as he questions the cost blowouts from renewables amid a new CSIRO report claiming the Opposition’s push for nuclear is “rubbish”.
“If I didn’t look outside, I would almost believe the crowing from the ABC and the Albanese government,” Mr Bolt said.
“They are so happy today because a new CSIRO report claims the Opposition’s plans for nuclear power are rubbish.”
Has Bowen achieved anything as a minister, every thing he touches Fails!
He just moves onto his next project & fails again, he’s a total Flog!
never heard of paying companies not to use power, what happened to Australian made, oh sorry got no power.
Chris Bowen has the mental capacity of a small child. Mummy told him that Nuclear Power was bad
When a 17 year old school kid can tie this fool up in knots over nuclear energy on national TV, what does that tell you??
Thank you, Andrew. Spot on.
Strange how CSIRO suddenly pops with its latest Gen report (usual bias of course omitting the real cost of renewables) claiming Nuclear is not the way, just as the Australian Energy Regulator dumps on Bowen and his green energy nonsense reporting that it will lead to blackouts for NSW, Vic and SA
Goodness gracious what else can we say about labor. Yes I can say the government is going to be remembered as the worst Australia has ever seen
Burkina Faso one of the poorest countries in the world is building a nuclear power station. But Labour can't do it! Say no more!
Risky, slow and expensive. That describes Bowen perfectly.
Nailed it. 😅😅
Well put!
no such thing as "green hydrogen"
‘Risky, slow, and expensive’ - that is Chris Bowen.
If Bowen keeps on trotting out the same fantastical net zero zealotry, he might just believe it enough to be true. That's the definition of lunacy😂😂😂😂
Bowen has invested all his money into it. Totally committed 100%
@@ZELJKO472💯👍
If nuclear is so expensive, drop the ban and let the market choose where they want to invest their money.
They have. It’s renewables.
Renewables all built in guess where? 🇨🇳 can just turn the tap off
@@johnhoyle4401
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 "Renewables" are not a free market, 🤡
And renewables are subsided by the federal government by millions of dollars 💵💵 they're also unreliable and inefficient 😂😂😂😂an absolute joke 🤣 🤣 🤣
Bowen should look out when people who will have to throw out all food after blackout because the fridge stopped -they be on his doorstep
UEA built a 5600 megawatt reactor in 10 years . Cost 24 billion us .
Using slavery.
The far right have always regretted giving up their slaves.
@@johnhoyle4401
I'm not sure if you realise this but you stopped making sense years ago 🤣
Just rebuild the coal plants ffs
I absolutely agree with you !!, but they are too busy sending all our coal to China !!
Risky slow and expensive is a fitting description of Chris Bowen
Labor , Bowen get kick backs from Chinese solar panels thats about it .
Actually, it's impossible, and it is certain poverty.
Some countries have built Nuclear power stations in less than 7 years and as they last 5 times longer than windmills are the better value solution.
If there was a climate crisis why would you choose unreliable and inefficient wind and solar when in the past coal and gas gave Wester countries the prosperity the eco zealots now appear to despise but which India and China have no problem using to give their populations a better standard of living.
Exactly. But better watch out for Greens Stasi. They'll be very upset with you for saying that.
"Risky, slow and expensive"...that sums up Chris nicely.
Yep the CSIRO is past it’s use buy date
CSIRO is just a stink tank 😂
Come on Bowen, The hunter has not produced enough wind for at least a week. Therefore no power, full stop.
Nuclear power is not expensive, nuclear power plant last between 70 and 100 years , wind turbines and solar panels power last 10 to 15 years and need to be replace.😊
Yet it's the greens advocating the disposable option. Truly bananas.
Solar can last 6 days if there's a hail storm
Stop the bus...i want to get off.
He's like I'm a PEANUT
Look at me...
How much have we wasted on snowy to store a couple hours of power.ill take the nuclear thanks .keep at em Pete
Just as a reminder Bowen stands for Black Outs When Energy Needed. do I need to say more about a politician who has no idea how the general public are suffering.
Backwards with Bowen… !
What the hell dose csiro no about constructing a nuclear reactor.
Or about economic analysis?
If nuclear so bad then why is it safe enough to use in the medical community without incident
The same apparently applies to building a nuclear reactor according to the latest CSIRO report.
Wont the wind turbines and solar panels need replacing in 20 years time -- all that money and environmentally destructive waste over and over again?
Slow union labour will blow anything out
Incompetent & hopelessly out of touch...blackout Bowen looks foolish ...thankyou Andrew for your show...u give us hope for a more sensible future which is looking increasingly bleak under this Labor Government....
Slow and expensive describes Bowen to a tee.
Labors trust factors zero, out of idea's and clutching at straws.
This report is 4 days ago. Just today I heard a report that the CSIRO have revised their numbers and knocked 50% off the costs, with more 'discounts' pending.
The Government defiance to even consider nuclear & desire to go with unreliable, renewables that cost a fortune, is alarming.
And given that this Government has proven itself to be wrong on so many occasions, does nothing to inspire confidence in them.
Does he have a brain between his ears
Incredibly, he's got an economics degree from the uni of sydney.....I'm amazed, he sounds like a peanut 🥜
Simpleton must be a job description with that mob.
Bowen is a trail of drool 😂.
12 billion hmm. I'm the count I like to count billion dollar energy failures. 1 one billion dollars Bwah ha ha. 😅
A nuclear power plant can be built in 5 years with the help of people who have built them before.
Yeah, green hydrogen is a pipe dream, like carbon capture, just buzz words, no real substance. I don 't believe the LNP costings on nuclear include the fuel, dealing with the waste or decommissioning. Even more concerning is the quality of the build, we don't seem to be able to build apartment blocks that last 20 years, you can't skimp on a nuclear facility.
Sorry Andrew! Re phrase his name please??? It's Albosleazy thank you! And Casanova Bowen!!!!
Or molten Salt reactors have been in constant use from before the Atomic bomb into today.
Bowen is going to can the labor Gov. Albo is accelerating it.
In the real world there are many economic advantages from adopting renewable technologies like solar energy, however Mr Bolt is apparently blind to this reality.
Hydrogen fuel cell technology is moving forward, but that might be okay to say' power your house, or supplement/off set your power consumption. It is a different story when it comes to powering vehicles, especially in large quantities. Using sea water to produce hydrogen is very expensive due to its salt content as apposed to "pure water". I think people like Chris Bowen live in a fairy tale land.
Bolt the expert of everthing, NOT.
All I hear is whinging, hydrogen doesn’t have to come from solar and wind.
Already 100% profit within 6months doubling my wealth with hydrogen stocks :)
According to an analysis by the Nuclear Energy Agency of the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development), nuclear power plants represent the most cost-effective source of energy if we take into account the total cost of electricity, including construction and operation costs, grid connection costs resulting from their integration
To make hydrogen from water requires massive amounts of energy. Like incredible huge amounts of electricity. So maybe we need nuclear power to make hydrogen from water. Except we require way more amounts of electricity to make hydrogen from water than the amount of energy we could ever hope to get out of hydrogen.
Hydrogen will never power cars/trucks because it is thousands of times more dangerous than our safest lithium batteries that we have today. And electric cars don’t work. Ford America lost 5.5 billion dollars on producing electric F150’s and electric mustangs. And cannot sell them. Even with government handouts the yanks don’t want them. Wake up Aus vote Labor out. Go back to coal/gas and petrol vehicles
Only one answer ...🥹... vote this despicable labor/greens coalition OUT !!
I heard snowy 2.0 was already at 13 billion dollars
Dukovany nuclear power plant
Start of construction 1978
Commissioned 1985-1987
Planned service life 30 years (after reconstruction 50-60 years)
