    That's not a pump house. It was Morley's grist mill. When that was built nearly 200 years ago, everyone in that community would've drawn their water from their own well. I suspect that remains the case to this day. I've never seen any sign of a water intake structure on the river, a sewage plant, etc. (nor ever heard of them connecting to the village of Canton system). And you missed a beautiful stone ruin. Located on the western side of CR14 roughly halfway between the chapel and the intersection with CR27 and hidden somewhat by trees, is what I believe is held as the county's first school that wasn't a one room schoolhouse. Nature is slowly collapsing it, but it's every bit as beautiful as the chapel. You can just see the roof of it peaking out in the clump of trees in the center of the frame at the 9 second mark.
