We are truly blessed to have three beautiful Angels here on Earth singing in perfect harmony. I keep coming back to hear them again and again and again. Thanks.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, when I sing along, I sing , to know her is love her, great performance by three beautiful woman, with more importantly, beautiful hearts
Beautiful!!!! Stunning voices! I love all 3 :) The best part is seeing David Lindley, my favorite everything, playing that beautiful lead on that cool, red, guitar. He is a genius. What a treat!!
This was inscribed on the tombstone of Phil Spector's father. Spector wrote the song and was a member of the group who had a #1 hit with it in 1958 (The Teddy Bears). Annette Kleinbard sang lead.
Went to a Neil Young Concert, Linda Rhonstat was first, oh I fell in love with her! Bought all her records! I still have them, got a record player for Christmas, gonna listen again!
1st time to hear this song by Emmylou Harris, Dolly and Linda, I know this song from The The Teddy Bears, But this was sent to me from a friend.... Love....
What a gem - absolutely brilliant harmonies, and wonderful guitarplaying. Emmylou's vocal on the original record is out of this world - the way she uses her brath for a tremolo effect at the end of the solo gets me every time.
today I heard this song and it brought tears to my eyes because it reminds me of my nephew Matt because to know him is to love him!! LOVE YOU MATT!! YOUR AUNTIE JENNY!!
I was about 10 years old when I first heard this on Radio Luxemgerg. It was of course the Teddy Bears very early 50"s.You cannot imagine the effect of this style of music back then it was complete magic. But I feel the Americans somehow knew what they had, and boy did they show the rest of the World.I am from the the UK.
A woman of valor, who can find? For her price is far greater than rubies... She opens her mouth with wisdom, The law of lovingkindness is on her tongue... Many daughters have done greatness, But you outshine them all. Proverbs, ch 31
LOL!! Twenty years ago, I specifically had the "OBEY" part left out of our vows when my husband and I got married. I think he left his in, but I told the minister to leave that out when I said my vows. I don't obey anyone unless I chose too. That's the way I roll. :)
OK, kidding aside when the lord says "wives obey your husbands" he simply means the MAN has more authority in the family, it has to be voluntary, the wife is to take a subordinate role voluntarily. It's best for society.
I saw Linda Rhonstat when she was with The Stone Ponies! She played first at a Neil Young Concert! I loved her more than his singing! She became a favorite! Have most of her albums!
I used to listen to Radio Luxemberg while growing up in England, too. These 50s songs from Jim Reeves, Nat King Cole, Platters, Teddy Bears, Pat Boone represented simple pure values while growing up. Then along came a revolution first gradually (Cliff Richard, Everly Bros, Connie Francis) then hundreds of local rock groups(like mine) in every pub copying Chuck Berry, spawning the Stones, Beatles, Animals,.. who took over the world of music. "I am so glad that I am living in the USA"(30 yrs).
Hi Ally. The guitar player is David Lindley He's playing a National Glenwood 95.Further I recognize Mark O Connor on mandolin, Herb Pederson on guitar,Russ Kunkel on Drums?,and Steve Fishel steel.I don't know who the other performers are.
When sometimes there is someone in your life and it seems you are the only one that can see all the good sweet love he alone gives to you secretly! not that u should have to explain how you feel or give reasons !you just wish they new too! Him too like you do.
Very good, It gets better though, the Country Christmas, And even better is these women and a few more doing all the Beach Boy songs, one of the best CDs I have ever heard.. Find it, im going to look now...
Killer! from Dolly's show? What a band! Lee Sklar & Russ Kunkel (from all those 70's JT records!) Mr. Dave's signature lead guitar sound, Mark O'Connor & Herb Pederson. Couldn't place Weissenborn player at the right or guitar player at far left. Thanks for this slice of musical heaven!
I love all three of them, but emmylou has to be one of the greatest female vocalists of of all time
We are truly blessed to have three beautiful Angels here on Earth singing in perfect harmony. I keep coming back to hear them again and again and again. Thanks.
And now, so sadly, one of the angel's voices is stilled. Not too many sad stories and songs than the cruel fate of Linda Ronstadt.
@@johnledford694 I agree, have several of her old albums!
So do I keep coming back listening to the most beautiful tune!
the best female trio you'd ever hear singing together!! Iwish they'd record another album together!

Beautiful people - every one of them - making beautiful music!
Yes, Radio Luxembourg was one of the best radio stations in the sixties and early seventies

Don't forget...she OBEYS her husband...
LOL!! Twenty years ago, I specifically had the "OBEY" part left out of our vows when my husband and I got married. I think he left his in, but I told the minister to leave that out when I said my vows. I don't obey anyone unless I chose too. That's the way I roll. :)
You must have a miserable sex life? GOD says the wife is to OBEY! And everyone knows that wo=MEN like to be dominated, remember 50 shades of grey?
joseph esposito Never saw the movie, and that remark about my sex life was inappropriate. I would never say such a thing to you. Jeez.
OK, kidding aside when the lord says "wives obey your husbands" he simply means the MAN has more authority in the family, it has to be voluntary, the wife is to take a subordinate role voluntarily. It's best for society.
