I have someone Im dyeing a disc for and asked for outer base color in black plus three other colors..ahh boy! Youve really inspired a new hope with a little variation to my idea. Ive of worm dip, it didnt really register in my brain to what exactly it was till this video, thank you so much for the inspiration!
Haha I could try. If you look in the right places on the UA-cam you’ll find some videos of ole Daddy Delp before he was daddy delp playing guitar and ukulele singing and stuff on my old channel haha
I think I got mine at like a bass pro shop or something like that if I remember correctly. It was either that or I ordered online but I feel like I got it in a fishing section. Just avoid the scented ones that are like garlic lol it’ll scent your discs
Mine is straight acetone and Idye Poly mix. It takes me multiple costs of black to get it that dark. Sometimes the plastic can make it hard depending on the type but yea I just keep a small metal cup with dried up Idye Poly and just add a small amount of acetone to it and start dying.
I don’t leave mine long really. I’ve heard some people leave theirs for awhile but I just make sure I wash it off with cold water. I generally just do mine and wash it. You could experiment and see what differences you find between leaving it and washing immediately. For me it tends to depend on the plastic. I’ve dyed the same plastic before the same way and see one disc fade really bad and the other hold dye extremely well

I see the Demolition Ranch shirt, immediate approval.
Haha yessir! Gotta love him. The camo sweat pants you may have seen in video here recently are Demoranch too! Gotta support them
Sweet! I wasn't 100% sure how this was done so you cleared it all up for me. Appreciate it. Thx!
It’s one of my favorite skin dye techniques. Pretty simple but makes really sweet dyes
Should play your best Les Claypool on that Bass as an intro!

Great video brother
Thanks man!
How did the initials colors stay visible when you added black?
The glue covers the color and you just spin the black acetone dye over it and then when you wash the glue off it protects the initial dye
The Demolitia represents!
Haha yes it does!
Hey brother what dye are you using for the black? My idyepoly/acetone mix doesn't show up that dark. Thanks!

Sweet
Awesome job. How long do you leave the spin dye on the disc before you wash it off?

What dye was the black? Spike it or pro chem?
The black is just acetone and Idye Poly mixed. I’ve recently started experimenting with pro chem but the black I have is still idye poly
Kind of dark to see you. 0:05
