Classic AC up until maybe Syndicate... but as soon as it became RPG and immense worlds (beautiful landsapes and graphics) with too much filler and not enough meat on the story. Odyssey being the worst and Valhalla being a close second. These 2 games lost the plot of what AC once was... it was a step in the right direction with Mirage. Just hoping that Shadow will bring AC back to its incredible roots. I mean, the reason why we love Altaïr, Ezio, Desmond and Connor is that they made us understand where each one of them came from with rich backstory and character development... Alexios/Kassandra and Eivor were so wooden and uninspiring characters...
Lol, stupid monolith. Rogue, Unity and Syndicate arent classic AC, let alone having good characters. A good game is a good game. And the first four, Black Flag, Origins along with 3 to an extent are the only games that matter. And never forget that the developers of Odyssey, made Syndicate. Both complete messes.
@memecliparchives2254 I said that you could maybe count Syndicate. But yes, Oydssey was a mess and Syndicate is not far behind. It did have a couple of redeeming qualities. Unity is definitely underrated... best parkour in all of AC, good fighting mechanics, alright story. But in the end, nothing compares to the Desmond saga, that's for sure.
I quit Black Flag because of too many trailing missions. It got old fast with doing the same thing again and again and desyncing every 30 seconds. I couldn't do it and I didn't get far enough into the story to want to keep trying. However Origins and Odyssey were my favorites, ending with Valhalla being vicious if you don't level up before going near the next quest. Frustrating and enraging. I also hate the icons for resources being in the sky. It ruined me. The cookie cutter locations also bewildered me, even though structures have been basically the same since the beginning except for historical places like Notre Dame and a few in London. In Egypt and Greece, you get to see lots more, even though you point out as "filler" what I consider side quest heaven for grinding. The mythological elements of Origins and Odyssey were interesting to me. I learned a lot by pausing the games and looking up different places, historic battles and going back to explore or participate in things like that Parthenon and the Battle of Thermopylae. However, the DLCs from Origins and Odyssey were overwhelming and frustrating. I finished the main game of each and the Hidden Ones, but that's it. The combat isn't what you say either. You are rewarded for stealth and still surrounded by enemies and elites in Odyssey if you get spotted. In general I think you're wrong...
I do love the classic AC games , since I have played them the most .So I really can't disagree with this video , but I also have played few the newer ones .Never really got to the end them , since I would kinda reformat my console .Cause I found missed some thing , or memory got corrupted .But at some point I will go back them , since I am not jumping from console to console anymore . And like seems the next current console , is just like the last with updated graphics .So developers kinda are killing all real fun ways , you could move around in a game .
Oh my god did I just click a WATCHMOJO video? 😂😂😂 See you in a couple years when you manage to sneak into my recommendations again. Might I suggest a collab with Simon Whistler? With your sneakiness combined nothing will stop you
Honestly for me, I can’t decide which is better, Classic Assassin’s Creed or New Assassin’s Creed, they are both great to me 🤩🤩🤩
We love both, too!
I love both of them!
So do we!
