Here’s the key, from a Chicagoan, eat a quarter of a piece, cut in half. Also take home and re heat in the oven. Two places we love, Giordanos and Lou Malnatis. Love your videos.
I live in Chicago, I'm fat and deep dish atleast once a month. I could never move as the food every where else does not hold a candle to Chicago food. Beef, hot dogs, pizza, polish, tavern style, brats.
@@rickroberts4848 I live in Chicago as well and was attending a local wedding here once where one of the other guests, from Wisconsin, seriously asked "have you ever heard of Polish Sausage?" and my friend standing next to me replied "I live on the stuff!" That same friend had his own wedding catered by Portillo's, which I'd take any day over the typical mass produced, dried out "fancy" wedding food.
I am from Adelaide South Australia . Upon seeing this video I immediately looked up if anywhere in Adelaide makes these “Chicago “ style pizzas . Apparently there is only one in the whole of Australia and surprisingly it’s in Adelaide and they even state that their pizzas are based on the famous pizzeria you went to in Las Vegas . So Friday night after work we are making a special trip into the city to attend “Remys “ pizza just off Rundle Mall and try one of these pizzas for myself . I consider myself a bit of a pizza connoisseur…….
Please post an update on how the pizza at "Remys" was. Being from Chicago, and having visited Australia several times with some family there, I'm curious to know if it was to your liking. Even in Chicago, everyone I know's go-to every-day pizza is thin crust (including ordering from the pizza chain Bob went to - there's a location a few blocks from my house.) Not because deep dish is bad, but I think because it's super indulgent and really heavy and you have to be in the mood for that kind of pizza. If you ate it regularly you'd shorten your lifespan. Deep dish is more of a special occasion or taking out friends from out-of-town kind of thing. For the people who do swear by deep dish here, it's like a religious war between which local Chicago chain has the best deep dish. Each chain has a distinctive way of making it and has their own unique kind of crust.
Love this video Bob. We were just there and couldn't figure out how to get in to Giordano's, we were on the lower level where the box was located, nobody was around to seat us so we went to Big Red's instead, which was very good. Next time we now know to go up to get into Giordano's, got to try that pizza!
I grew up on Giordanos in Chicago but have not been to the ones in Vegas area. I do know the further you get into the Chicago suburbs the worse Giordano's gets.
Being a resident, I wouldn’t have considered this place. Considering it’s a half day adventure getting there, finding parking, paying $25 or more for parking. But if Bob says it’s good and worth it I will go. Super unbiased, knowledgeable and honest reviews are what makes these videos a must watch. Thanks
I always enjoy your reviews. Being from Chicago myself, I'm glad you liked the pizza so much! I feel like (some) Chicago food is redeemed for you after your review of Harolds' so-called "Chicago Style Chicken", which there's no such thing, they just made that term up. Also, I'm guilty of what you said about locals being a concierge. Whenever we're in Vegas we always call up my wife's local cousins to show us around some local spots.
Hi Bob,i like your videos so much.😊 One question,do you know anything about the cooking book from Vinnie Paul? I'm so sad that he doens't make it ready.
Looks a lot like the old Assagio's Pizza that used to be in San Diego's Seaport Village area (long gone now). Assagio's was great, and the one you got looks great too!
Thanks Bob, this review makes me think of the Sopranos Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri quote: And it's not just the money. It's a pride thing. All our food: pizza, calzone, buffalo moozarell', olive oil. These people had nothin'. They ate pootsie before we gave them the gift of our cuisine. But this, this is the worst😂😂😂
@charlesfinnegan7930 I'm not a fan of Peaquad's either, and I don't understand the hype around them. It's like pizza bread. Their thin crust is passable. I'm also bitter that when I tried to get delivery from them once they refused to deliver to my address because it was 1 block outside their 4 mile wide delivery zone, and the lady completely refused to make an exception. I almost considered walking the one block over to meet the delivery guy, like the Seinfeld episode.
Amazing intro Bob. You are a sensation. People…. Wake up and realize this.
Also, my fat ass wants this pizza so bad.
having it for lunch now
Bring Hoovie with you 😂
Thanks for the parking tip!
9.5 everyone knows the rules.😂
you forgot to get your 50% discount happy hour.

If you’re at one of the many hotels near midway airport in Chicago Lou’s is within walking distance.

The “trying to talk himself out of it scene” was hilarious
@bobeatsvegas you have to take a trip out to Crispy Bois burgers in Boulder City. Best in town no question

Bob you just turned fifty and your already getting lost and confused might be early warning signs of dementia 😂

That just made me so hungry, I would have eaten a second slice also then gone somewhere and taken a nap. Thanks for the entertaining food review.
I knew you would eat a 2nd piece! It’s so hard to stop at just one!!
Maybe call in the order ahead of time. By the time you drive over, park, and hoof it there your pie is ready.
another good pizza in Vegas is Grimaldis on Rainbow Blvd
"It's under the sauce" 🤣 You forgot the red pepper The crust has cornmeal.

It's okay to eat two slides of pizza. Life is short. Enjoy it! And walk it off to burn the fat. You'll be fine, Bob!!!

Hi Bob,i like your videos so much.😊

Duck donuts is awesome - we have one in central Pennsylvania- they started in the outer banks of North Carolina - awesome place use extra insulin…..
That pie reminded me of a place in Euless, just north of Dallas. The owner was from NYC, and he called it a _Lasagna Pizza_ Best I ever had.
Bob, there's a location on Charleston and Rampart if you ever go back. Way easier than dealing with the strip
Dave's hot chicken has different spice levels from 0 spice up to hot it's good.
Looks a lot like the old Assagio's Pizza that used to be in San Diego's Seaport Village area (long gone now). Assagio's was great, and the one you got looks great too!
We sure appreciated this video Bob. It sure was worth finding! Lol Luv&Peace. ✌️💫
That was hilarious Bob at the beginning of this video 😂 the deep dish pizza 🍕 going up and up lol
You’ve got to order this before you arrive. 45 mins to bake.
Looks like a cake 😮😮😮😮
Pie 🥧
Great place! After two pieces you better take the rest home! By the way, one of your best reviews.
Thanks Bob, this review makes me think of the Sopranos Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri quote: And it's not just the money. It's a pride thing. All our food: pizza, calzone, buffalo moozarell', olive oil. Did you get half price ? Looks tasty 😋
Ole Red is Blake Sheltons joint . Great song also
your not a fat bastard...you just love good pizza
That looks great we can’t find pizza like that here in Maryland. We had god father’s pizza years ago I miss it. Ty bob

Bob you’re crazy funny!!! 😆😂🤣
Duck Donuts are the BEST!
Instead should have show about debate
most ive ever seen you eat must be fantastic
The crust looks dry.
It’s a weird flavorless pie crust taste if you’ve never had it. I personally tried it once and will never order it again.
Is crust suppose to be soggy?
It would take me a week to eat that
Pizza looks amazing!
that looks good bob....
Bob come on live a little.
You too cheap to valet lol
Rolex and suspenders = fork and knife

@@BlacksyteSolicitors Meh. Last time I got Peaquod's it was all bread. Probably not going back anytime soon.
