Literally the best and most entertaining repairing channel, that even shows you the stressful moments, what a legend

Gotta say, out of most of the hvac content on youtube, yours is coming up quick. The editing is great and you are good at showing what you are doing and why, while being entertaining at the same time. Great combo, keep up the good work! 👍

A braided faucet supply line and a 1/2" NPT cap is good if you want to avoid replacing the valve till a later date.

Even better Keeney makes a 1/4 turn valve with that weird 3/8 thread on both sides. Good to carry around for exactly this situation.

@@theodorgiosan2570 Good point. I've used the dahl 3/8x3/8 compression valves when the character of the house isn't changed by having an extra valve 😉

Hilarious stuff . I like that you show the bad moments too lol. For future no need for air vent on copper base board only cast iron rads. Just another leak point in the future or couple years. Just need purge valve down stairs on the return .

You are helping landlords get their shit together one by one. I can't believe the amount of neglect such important infrastructure gets. Up where you are you also get to deal with really old stuff that is crumbling apart. Job security my guy. I work in software security and it is the same, you always have some old stuff or lesser quality work to improve to keep things from...leaking.

Do yourself a favor and get a 1/8 NPT pipe tap. Would have got you out of replacing that elbow. I got a set up to 1 inch and use them mostly for cleaning threads when they are old and crusty, but still solid

If they are gutting the house, why do you have to do anything to it?

I was wondering the same thing. Seems for a total renovation, the whole heating system would be ripped out and replaced with something more modern and energy efficient.
An 90% boiler with a thermostat in every room connected via a large manifold powered by a single circulating pump controlled via speed drive to keep the pressure consistent.
Replace all the radiators with heated floors and you will have a dream home on a snowy winters night.

I'm pretty sure you're a plumber, using plumbing as a "fallback" for your burgeoning Juilliard studies.
I didn't know they had a film editing program...
Whatever the case, stay busy because it's all coming together!

For the water in the pipes take your soap bubbles sprayer off and set it in the pipe and spray the water out.
