Gotta say, out of most of the hvac content on youtube, yours is coming up quick. The editing is great and you are good at showing what you are doing and why, while being entertaining at the same time. Great combo, keep up the good work! 👍
Hilarious stuff . I like that you show the bad moments too lol. For future no need for air vent on copper base board only cast iron rads. Just another leak point in the future or couple years. Just need purge valve down stairs on the return .
OMG I was NOT expecting that wate spray! This give me a good laugh in a way, but good thing this place was being gutted! I am enjoying your video more and more! Keep up the good work!
You are helping landlords get their shit together one by one. I can't believe the amount of neglect such important infrastructure gets. Up where you are you also get to deal with really old stuff that is crumbling apart. Job security my guy. I work in software security and it is the same, you always have some old stuff or lesser quality work to improve to keep things from...leaking.
Do yourself a favor and get a 1/8 NPT pipe tap. Would have got you out of replacing that elbow. I got a set up to 1 inch and use them mostly for cleaning threads when they are old and crusty, but still solid
I was wondering the same thing. Seems for a total renovation, the whole heating system would be ripped out and replaced with something more modern and energy efficient. An 90% boiler with a thermostat in every room connected via a large manifold powered by a single circulating pump controlled via speed drive to keep the pressure consistent. Replace all the radiators with heated floors and you will have a dream home on a snowy winters night.
I'm pretty sure you're a plumber, using plumbing as a "fallback" for your burgeoning Juilliard studies. I didn't know they had a film editing program... Whatever the case, stay busy because it's all coming together!
i did yes, not sure if i would say you have to (you learn almost everything on the job) but it gives you a great foundation to build off of so i would definitely say its worth it
I did a huge cabin in Sunday river Maine sleeps 56 had sit abandoned over 6 years had a well 2 1200 gallon storage tanks I had to rebuild all of that crap froze and broke and they was 137 breaks all over in base board and water lines .and it had underfloor that leaked also .had to put a new booster pump change the board on control module all new zone valves cir pumps and there was a whole wall of valves relays all kinds of crazy shit you talk about a awsome feeling when I got everything up and running cause of course it was dec 5 degrees outside yea no fun
Good video and great ceiling art don't let them paint over it in a few years it will be priceless. Hey Hunter Biden is charging 2 million for a crap painting your ceiling art is much better. But good video you show the real side of this work.
Literally the best and most entertaining repairing channel, that even shows you the stressful moments, what a legend

Thank you for the support, your comments are very generous!
@@theapprenticesurvivalguide you edit yourself?
@MrInkotime yes
@@theapprenticesurvivalguide great job, final cut pro?
A braided faucet supply line and a 1/2" NPT cap is good if you want to avoid replacing the valve till a later date.
Even better Keeney makes a 1/4 turn valve with that weird 3/8 thread on both sides. Good to carry around for exactly this situation.
@@theodorgiosan2570 Good point. I've used the dahl 3/8x3/8 compression valves when the character of the house isn't changed by having an extra valve 😉

watch your vlogs every morning, keep up the work Brother. the consistency with your uploads is immaculate.
Thank you for the support brother!

Should have left the dirt and charged double for the abstract art you did.
That what i was gonna say leave it alone bro
I tried to clean up so they didn’t think I didn’t care lol
I wish I thought of that sooner! Lol
You must be the only plumber that ever tried to clean up after yourself! 😂
Cuz all cares about is showing his face in most of every post that I've seen
I gave it my best lol!
Must be mistaking plumbers with electricians because they never clean up anything 😂
Mate... I'm diggin the music you threw in there at the end.. I definitely did not expect that thing to burst like that...
Neither did I 😂
Fantastic content well handled leak 👍👍👍👍
Great video ! It not always easy!
What the heck are a few screw ups among friends? Another entertaining and educational video dude!

Thank you for the support!
Real world plumbing at its finest
flooded a few places several times myself!
🙈 not my proudest moment lol
If they are gutting the house, why do you have to do anything to it?

Cpvc turn stops can be swapped onto comp

I really like working on boilers, a/c for me is just something to do in the off season lol
The amount of bs we go thru in a day …it’s always something!
For the water in the pipes take your soap bubbles sprayer off and set it in the pipe and spray the water out.
That’s why you keep a small vac on truck and suck out the water?
Great idea thank you
LOL!!! Been there! Done that!!
🙈 Not my proudest moment
Did you have to go to school for plumbing and heating?
i did yes, not sure if i would say you have to (you learn almost everything on the job) but it gives you a great foundation to build off of so i would definitely say its worth it
Be damn careful with torches in ballon frame houses.
Crussssshhhhhing it!!! 💪💪💪💪
Thanks brother!
I get it. The house is haunted. The HVAC man’s “The Shining”. 👻
A reminder after your incident…..safety glasses
Exactly what i was thinking. Those sunglasses like ones are already a nice layer of protection while being completely unintrusive.
You can have those boilers. Every one of them.

Sincerely, the back seat worker
P. S make sure every night in the mirror you ask yourself " did you suck less today than you did yesterday?"
Great advice! Thank you!
