Hanzo swore to never use a sword again(which is why he uses just a bow) and left the clan. Genji was found by Mercy, healed and made into a cyborg to save him and served in Overwatch for a while, he had a huge identity crisis with being half robot but found an Omnic named Zenyatta who helped him find peace with himself.

And notice everyone she revives is from Overwatch, Genji was told he'd only be healed if he joined Overwatch, Reaper was part of Overwatch, although something went wrong there.

The Sword you see in the trailer that Hanzo meditates in front of is his sword that he used to kill Genji the 1st time with, his Guilt is why he no longer uses it and takes up the Bow instead thereafter.
This is my favorite short for 3 reasons 1. Hanzo and Genji are my 2 best characters 2. This short is just amazing 3. i never played it, i just like this short

mercy seems to be the cause of a lot of revivals, including Reyes becoming Reaper
