Few ideas so far: 1. Since it is kinda obvious, it looks like each and every animal that is/was in the lost forest, has got powers. In the 'something's wrong' animation with Milo, we see that he also gets a power, but quite a weird one. I'm unsure what power will Joey have (maybe terrakinesis, pyrokinesis or ability to control electricity??), but it seems very likely that Mei will have the power to control plants/flowers, possibly be able to heal. She could also become something like the sheep from the story that the elders told. 2. On the farm, I have noticed that there's a sheep/goat in the background that has twigs instead of horns. I'm not able to catch exactly what the character was talking about, but it seems that it was about the twigs and how weird they are... This could possibly mean that either this character was already in the forest (which would make the fact that Mei has flower weird), or some characters are just born that way. This could indicate that only certain characters that have special ancestors are able to gain powers, but I'm not really sure about this... 3. About the dark thing that covered the sun that one time might have been a dragon. We already know that there are dragons in this story, due to the drawing where Joey was facing a dragon (plus 'can you tell the story about when dragons that were attacking this land?'). Since the forest then few days later became overgrown, it could indicate that the dragons want to either attack the land yet again and are using/testing animals with powers to do this and/or dragons have some incredibly powerful abilities, but there are very few of them to balance it out.
4. This feels like a real stretch, but the grandma sheep says ''well, *I've lived a long time* and I've never seen a ghost before'', while facing the camera and winking. This could be a slight indication that she could be a sheep that knows something about the sheep from the story, or maybe she is the sheep, but then again this is quite unlikely.
5. Ok so I watched the QnA vid and the fox got his/hers/their pyrokinesis from someone. This could either contribute to the dragons giving animals the powers, or it could also mean that there might be some creatures, such as the sheep in the story, who started off with their powers, but then ended up in the lost forest. And, since they saw animals entering, they decided to teach them how to use the powers/lend them the powers or something.
AAH I loved reading all of this omg! Bravo especially on your attention to details in the story and the small inflections I added to the characters' expression :'D I'm gonna hold off on confirming whether or not the dragons are actually part of the story (because in that other video I was still deciding and changing the story and messing around with concepts) but quite a bit of what you brought up are really close! I will say this, though, Grandma sheep definitely has ties to the forest ;D Thanks so much for sharing this, it was a treat

Holy crap, it's out. I WAS NOT PREPARED! THIS IS MARVELOUS CROWFOLLY! You did a wonderful job and it flows so well. I can also feel the improvement as the episode went on as far as story flow, animation, and shots. I love the dynamic you have set up between mei and joey. Animation is top-notch. The effort shows, and expressions are so fun! Only real note is sound mixing when joey is introduced. Was confused on who was talking, but that's my only biggest note. You did wonderful and I look forward to seeing more of Overgrowth :) P.S. I also applaud your diligent effort in keeping at this project for 3 years. That's amazing!

I am utterly utterly FLAWED by the sheer quality of this episode!!! I genuinely am speechless at how beautifully it turned out, so much atmosphere, such an interesting setup for a story and my GOODNESS THAT ANIMATION QUALITY WHAT EVEN?!?! The art gods have smiled on you ahahaha :'D But seriously though, so many congratulations on finishing this, despite it being many years in the making, it's really inspired me to want to get Unknown Blood out now (even though it won't look half as good as this!), and I'm sure it'll inspire so many people who have similar projects they may be struggling with

I actually watched this a few hours ago, right after it was uploaded, but I didn't want to comment until I gathered my thoughts and was able to make a comprehensive comment instead a bunch of excited keyboard smashing x'D Everything about this first episode is beyond what I ever expected. The animation is what stands out the most and its so, so inspiring!! its made me want to sit down and go work on my own projects immediately. the little movements that each character has so they dont stay in one spot for too long, the beautiful lip sync...everything about it looks great. You cant even tell which parts were animated 3 years ago and which ones were animated last week. it just blows me away! the writing does seem a little dated, but considering it was written in 2014 its a lot better than expected. each character has so much personality that you cant help but fall in love with them right away (especially joey. im always a sucker for main characters and joeys no acception). a lot of the jokes were surprisingly good and didnt take away from the flow of the episode at all. exposition was handled beautifully as well! (also, it was really cool to see some familiar faces in that story scene that explains the lost forest. that was so nice of you to include some fellow animators) i could go on and on about every aspect of this first episode and how everything ties in perfectly, but if i were to do that my comment would end up way too long. I just want to say thank you, Crow, for working as hard as you did and being determined enough to finish this! This is of course your series and your characters, but youve touched a lot of people with your story already as well as inspired a lot of fellow animators and artists to keep working on their own projects and stories.

Hm I have a theory So, in the trailer, it shows the deer fighting the fox shown in this episode having a dark moss-like substance on its eye. If we take the fox's expression's into account, we can assume this is because he is unhappy about the two goats entering the forest. Perhaps the forest somehow infects whoever enters it with the dark moss, making them aggressive and dangerous. This could be why the fox doesn't want anyone entering. The 'Something's Not Right' meme shows Milo with the same dark moss on him as the deer. He acts dangerous in it, so, if what I said above is true, then he somehow becomes infected with this dark moss. This is all pure speculation though xD Did I predict the future? FIND OUT IN TWO YEARS

Ohhhhmygod this turned out incredible AAAAA HOLY - also all of the lil oc cameos were so cute!!? Even with the amount of time that passed between certain scenes and development along the way it all still flows super well. You are so incredibly talented and skilled this is so inspiring im gonnna just go n weep over this now hAHA also the soundtrack was beautiful and really tied it all together so nicely. All in all amazing 😢💕💕
This is animated friggin beautifully! Like TV quality -maybe better than TV, seriously have you seen some of the shit thats on there lately??- feels like Studio Ghibli! And the story is quite interesting, it follows a traditional set up with mystery forests, prey vs predator, etc. but it is executed so uniquely well you don't even realize it! also might I add it is refreshing to see a main charrie who isn't a wolf or cat? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE wolves and cats but the YT market is kind of flooded with them. This is all in all just truly a great piece of animation! **W**

i seriously can't get over how fluid your animation is and how absolutely gorgeous your backgrounds are??? and that scene with the forest story was so absolutely amazing to look at and just. this is some of the best animation i've seen from a video this long, hell its a lot better than actual tv shows i've seen, and i cannot wait to see the next episode. congratulations on finishing episode one!

Beautiful animation and the voice acting and characters are written adorably! I wonder if you have storyboarded enough however. There are shots that are confusing and don't flow so well into each other and shots that are "over animated" and didn't need to be. All shots are stunning but over animated shots are usually done so we get a certain emphasis on a point or meaning within the shot I think an example of this (15:08) it's beautiful but unnecasary, this shot is usually used to show a back ground and nothing about the background describes anything that is making a point so you spent a lot of time on this beautiful shot when you didn't really have to. You have made talking scenes so visually interesting and wonderful! The expressions are readable and really represent the character's thoughts. I look forward to the next episode :)
Thanks for the feedback! I'll be honest I storyboarded next to none when working on this ahaha...the closest I got was sketching out the basic gist of the shot while just having the details in my head which I know is a terrible way of approaching things xD And yeah that particular shot was me finding out something cool with my program and wanting to use it even if it didn't fit the situation, sorry about that! I've learned my lesson with not storyboarding though, cause that sunset scene cause me the most strife when trying to figure out the shadows and light source without proper planning asdlkgjaslkg Thanks though! you can tell, I would say definitly storyboard... it will make your life easier, and don't apologise, I spent the time writing feed back because I care about your stunning work.
Another bit of feedback: in the opening scene where the narrator/main character is talking over the others you should consider either muting the background characters or not making the narrator compete/overlap with them. Having to focus on two sets of dialogue is painful for many people. Other than that its amazing, and its great that you have finally been able to make your animation.
Thanks for the suggestion! When I was working on the scene I felt bad for muting out all the background characters because they were voice acted by people who were very trilled to even be chosen as extras, it's probably why many people found it to be too loud or distracting, but it's poor planning on my part. I know now it's not a great way to handle the opening scene but it was scripted way back when and I couldn't bring myself to change it ^^" I've seen other suggestions about how to handle that scene so I'll take them all into account, hopefully something like this won't happen again heh
You didn't necessarily have to mute them, it would have made the scene rather long and driven home how boring it is supposed to be for protagonist: you could have alternated BGCharacter/narrator. Something to remember, compromise hurts everyone.

You've set up the world and characters really well, and I'm eager to see what's going on in this lost forest, plus the little hints at other characters has me hooked, I want to see more of them! okay, so i analyzed the video and looked at some of your older stuff, and am i the only one that noticed that the deer looked like the exact same one as "The Deer" (y'know, the main character). i found a map part in one of your videos(cant remember) where a deer looks over to a flower and its eyes widen. i think this is "The Deer" and he wandered into the forest and was infected with some sort of power that grew that moss on his eye and gave him his powers?? there could be something to do with the forest guardian and **P O S S I B L Y** the dragon smh just a theory

Wow! This episode was amazing!! The backgrounds are beautifull and the animation is so smooth and fun to watch. The voice actors did a great job and those 3 years were SO worth it! What a beautifull episode, the storyline is awesome and i can't want to see more!!

The beginning narration was really good I usually dislike narration but it was well done here and went well with the scene at hand, coupled with the really good animation! It has ton of movement. Haven't even watched it all and I love it

Well. I totally didn't save a bag of popcorn just for this occasion. Nope. That'd be silly. Totally didn't. .... *munches on kernels of popped goodness* I finally got to watch this on my laptop and. Man. I keep saying this but you REALLY should be so proud of what you've made. I'm trying to put into words how much emotion this gave me but it's seriously difficult. I genuinely shed a tear when the episode ended. The animation was astonishing. I know you've teased us with bits and bites of it but it flowed so fluidly as it came together. The voice acting was spectacular, everyone did a great job. The original themes were also just fantastic. And let's not forget those gorgeous backgrounds and illustrated shots! I'm sure this episode is going to spark inspiration throughout the community to work on their stories. This video was seamless and just a remarkable feat of animation for one person. I also want to thank you immensely for giving me thanks at the end. That made me so, so touched. I'm really honored. By all means, take as long a break as you need. Take a spa day, dude. I have not been following this series for a long time but I looked at the previous process and was blown away. As soon as I saw this video in my feed I IMMEDIATELY clicked on it, and this makes me want to see episodes two so much now. I love all the acting and the voices and the characters and just everyrhiNG AHHH IT'S SO GOOD. I am going to admit that I will probably watch this multiple times and I will share it so much. This animation and portrayal of everything is so good I need more in my life. Just thought I would leave my feedback!
Im absolutely in love with the first episode! The personalities fit the characters so well and the animation is so well done! I feel sorry for you that it took 3 years to make, but then again, over the three years, this is absolutely astounding! Shall we say...it was all worth it. I'm surprised that you kept going even though it took you so long. A lot of people I know would've quit it and never really came back to it. I would love to see more of these series and more of character development between the two. Summing that all up, I am absolutely impressed and hope to see more of these soon! Thanks ~BH.

Crowfolly he has a great voice for milo i just have sensitive ears and echos and reverb tend to hurt them a bit i understand though i forgot it was a three year project until i read the description so i apologize about being ignorant of that

Oh _wow._ Just _wow!_ I had to rewatch _quite_ a few parts of this video to appreciate separate things. The animation was so smooth and lively! It was awesome to watch and it's very pleasing to see. The way the characters moved was just stunning. And then the environments. I was absolutely astonished by how gorgeous it all was! They were all very colorful and artistic. The voice actors also did outstanding. All of them were great. None of them sounded flat or monotone. They all had the same energy as the characters and the same reactions and tones as if they were in the situation themselves! That's some real talent! And one of my favorite parts was seeing different peoples' characters in some parts (the story telling part had a lot of people I recognized like Beffa and I think even some of Shilly's characters!) and hearing a few familiar voice actors from other projects like Feral Pride. The story so far is extremely compelling and I'll definitely put aside some time to draw some fan art for this series. *Congratulations for getting this out, Crowfolly!*

Overgrowth was such a refreshing thing to see. As much as I love wolves and cats, I feel that they're used so much that wolf stories especially get old for me. Sheep were a really interesting choice and everything about this production is beautiful! Masterful job!
At first I thought it was a joke, but then I looked at it and was like, "Oh lord it's actually up." Now you're ready for episode two, aye? aye? hahah :') No but this was awesome. Your animation skills are flawless and you can see the improvement grow as you continued to animate forward. UA-cam took out annotations so I couldn't create subtitles but there's a CC button on the video bar that has automatic subtitles (not 100% accurate but it's still pretty good from what I can tell) hopefully that's okay!
I've been looking at the comments and I got so mad that this isn't getting as much feedback as it should, I mean, it is getting a lot, but it deserves more... so Crowfolly, get ready for a comment full of fangirling and feedback and love and aAAA I've watched this seven times. When it came out, I didn't have wifi, so I watched it with my phone's data, and I really meditate wether or not I should spend data on things because I don't have that many, bUT THIS DESERVES IT AND I KNEW IT BEFORE WATCHING IT Your style is so beautiful, I just can't describe how much I love it. tHE BACKGROUNDS ARE THE BEST I CAN'T GET OVER IT THEY'RE TOO NICE This is f u l l of animation, seriously, I'd go crazy if I had to animate as much as you did, even if I had 3 years to do it, or 4, or 10 or my whole life. I'm not just talking about how dialogues are fully animated or how incredibly smooth everything is, there's also a lot of movement in the background and it's just amAZING I also really enjoyed the characters, I've seen people saying that they're a bit cliche but I don't really agree. I could explain why but that's not the point. Btw I lOVE MILO HE'S THE BEST CHAR EVER I've also seen people saying that the voices didn't really fit or that the music choices weren't the best, but again, I don't really agree. For the music I don't have much knowledge, but the voices were, in my opinion, just perfect ^^ The only real issue that I could find is that in 3:15 Milo says that there are predators in the lost forest, but in the rest of the episode they keep saying that there aren't and in fact there aren't even any animals. Maybe I misunderstood(?) or maybe it was intentional(??) Anyway, that is the *only* issue I found, everything else is just great :D There were a lot of things that I wanted to say but I forgot aghh... So I guess that I should stop before the comment get's too long, sorry if there were any misspellings, english isn't my first language :'3 I just hope you don't start getting comments like "its been 1 month weres next episud!11!!1" I'd be sad if you get discouraged and end up cancelling this, which sadly, happens pretty often. I wrote it like that because it's meant to portray all the mysterious things surrounding that place, no one really knows or can explain what happened, especially when things are passed around through word of mouth, facts can be blown up and become confusing so everyone has their own opinions/ideas about what REALLY happened there xD Some things will be explained later though haha (and there are some contradictions here or there because of my lack of foresight back then, but most can probably be resolved by inference lol) Still thank you so much for this comment! With the milo thing I thought of it as speaking to his ignorance. Like milo has knowledge but doesn't know anything. He is very analytical and so wouldn't believe in magic or that stuff, so he believes it's cause of predators even though there aren't any.....Idk....I'm probably reading to far into this....
As so many others are saying this series goes above and beyond when it comes to the technical animation. Simply beautiful to watch and very impressive for a stand alone project, especially the newer bits. I can't wait to see how your animation continues to grow. The story itself is very intriguing, I look forward to how the writing progresses from here. Thank you so much for letting me be a small part of this series. I have been waiting up until this point and I am glad you took as long as you did. It looks FLAWLESS, the animation is fluid and bouncy, the shading and coloring fits so well with the atmosphere. The music, the voices, the BACKGROUNDS. UGH! Perfect! This has to be my favorite youtube series, even though there is only one episode. I can't wait for episode 2. :)

Crowfolly Crowfolly you should seriously attempt to pitch this. Their are many studious that will invest in pilots especially of this quality. UA-cam red, comedy central, fullscreen, tbs and fox all accept pitches from the public and you dont need to already be in the animation buisness for them to consider. Just maybe attempt to pitch it? Fullscreen contatnly funds youtubers, so they would be a good plsce to start ^u^

*aggressivity starts overanalyzing this episode and the other ovegrowth related animations to make theories and make sense of what is going on*
Few ideas so far:
1. Since it is kinda obvious, it looks like each and every animal that is/was in the lost forest, has got powers. In the 'something's wrong' animation with Milo, we see that he also gets a power, but quite a weird one. I'm unsure what power will Joey have (maybe terrakinesis, pyrokinesis or ability to control electricity??), but it seems very likely that Mei will have the power to control plants/flowers, possibly be able to heal. She could also become something like the sheep from the story that the elders told.
2. On the farm, I have noticed that there's a sheep/goat in the background that has twigs instead of horns. I'm not able to catch exactly what the character was talking about, but it seems that it was about the twigs and how weird they are... This could possibly mean that either this character was already in the forest (which would make the fact that Mei has flower weird), or some characters are just born that way. This could indicate that only certain characters that have special ancestors are able to gain powers, but I'm not really sure about this...
3. About the dark thing that covered the sun that one time might have been a dragon. We already know that there are dragons in this story, due to the drawing where Joey was facing a dragon (plus 'can you tell the story about when dragons that were attacking this land?'). Since the forest then few days later became overgrown, it could indicate that the dragons want to either attack the land yet again and are using/testing animals with powers to do this and/or dragons have some incredibly powerful abilities, but there are very few of them to balance it out.
4. This feels like a real stretch, but the grandma sheep says ''well, *I've lived a long time* and I've never seen a ghost before'', while facing the camera and winking. This could be a slight indication that she could be a sheep that knows something about the sheep from the story, or maybe she is the sheep, but then again this is quite unlikely.
5. Ok so I watched the QnA vid and the fox got his/hers/their pyrokinesis from someone. This could either contribute to the dragons giving animals the powers, or it could also mean that there might be some creatures, such as the sheep in the story, who started off with their powers, but then ended up in the lost forest. And, since they saw animals entering, they decided to teach them how to use the powers/lend them the powers or something.
AAH I loved reading all of this omg! Bravo especially on your attention to details in the story and the small inflections I added to the characters' expression :'D I'm gonna hold off on confirming whether or not the dragons are actually part of the story (because in that other video I was still deciding and changing the story and messing around with concepts) but quite a bit of what you brought up are really close! I will say this, though, Grandma sheep definitely has ties to the forest ;D

Holy crap, it's out. I WAS NOT PREPARED! THIS IS MARVELOUS CROWFOLLY! You did a wonderful job and it flows so well. I can also feel the improvement as the episode went on as far as story flow, animation, and shots. I love the dynamic you have set up between mei and joey. Animation is top-notch. The effort shows, and expressions are so fun!
Only real note is sound mixing when joey is introduced. Was confused on who was talking, but that's my only biggest note. You did wonderful and I look forward to seeing more of Overgrowth :)
P.S. I also applaud your diligent effort in keeping at this project for 3 years. That's amazing!

I actually watched this a few hours ago, right after it was uploaded, but I didn't want to comment until I gathered my thoughts and was able to make a comprehensive comment instead a bunch of excited keyboard smashing x'D
Everything about this first episode is beyond what I ever expected. The animation is what stands out the most and its so, so inspiring!! its made me want to sit down and go work on my own projects immediately. the little movements that each character has so they dont stay in one spot for too long, the beautiful lip sync...everything about it looks great. You cant even tell which parts were animated 3 years ago and which ones were animated last week. it just blows me away!
the writing does seem a little dated, but considering it was written in 2014 its a lot better than expected. each character has so much personality that you cant help but fall in love with them right away (especially joey. im always a sucker for main characters and joeys no acception). a lot of the jokes were surprisingly good and didnt take away from the flow of the episode at all. exposition was handled beautifully as well! (also, it was really cool to see some familiar faces in that story scene that explains the lost forest. that was so nice of you to include some fellow animators)
i could go on and on about every aspect of this first episode and how everything ties in perfectly, but if i were to do that my comment would end up way too long. I just want to say thank you, Crow, for working as hard as you did and being determined enough to finish this! This is of course your series and your characters, but youve touched a lot of people with your story already as well as inspired a lot of fellow animators and artists to keep working on their own projects and stories.

I have a theory
So, in the trailer, it shows the deer fighting the fox shown in this episode having a dark moss-like substance on its eye.
If we take the fox's expression's into account, we can assume this is because he is unhappy about the two goats entering the forest.
Perhaps the forest somehow infects whoever enters it with the dark moss, making them aggressive and dangerous. This could be why the fox doesn't want anyone entering.
The 'Something's Not Right' meme shows Milo with the same dark moss on him as the deer. He acts dangerous in it, so, if what I said above is true, then he somehow becomes infected with this dark moss.
This is all pure speculation though xD

This is animated friggin beautifully! Like TV quality -maybe better than TV, seriously have you seen some of the shit thats on there lately??- feels like Studio Ghibli! And the story is quite interesting, it follows a traditional set up with mystery forests, prey vs predator, etc. but it is executed so uniquely well you don't even realize it!
also might I add it is refreshing to see a main charrie who isn't a wolf or cat? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE wolves and cats but the YT market is kind of flooded with them.

Excellent work @Crowfolly , and voice actors! I remember seeing this AGES ago(about a year). The VAs sound great and the animation looks amazing!

I wonder if you have storyboarded enough however. There are shots that are confusing and don't flow so well into each other and shots that are "over animated" and didn't need to be. All shots are stunning but over animated shots are usually done so we get a certain emphasis on a point or meaning within the shot I think an example of this (15:08) it's beautiful but unnecasary, this shot is usually used to show a back ground and nothing about the background describes anything that is making a point so you spent a lot of time on this beautiful shot when you didn't really have to.
You have made talking scenes so visually interesting and wonderful! The expressions are readable and really represent the character's thoughts.

I'll be honest I storyboarded next to none when working on this ahaha...the closest I got was sketching out the basic gist of the shot while just having the details in my head which I know is a terrible way of approaching things xD And yeah that particular shot was me finding out something cool with my program and wanting to use it even if it didn't fit the situation, sorry about that! I've learned my lesson with not storyboarding though, cause that sunset scene cause me the most strife when trying to figure out the shadows and light source without proper planning asdlkgjaslkg

you can tell, I would say definitly storyboard... it will make your life easier, and don't apologise, I spent the time writing feed back because I care about your stunning work.
Another bit of feedback: in the opening scene where the narrator/main character is talking over the others you should consider either muting the background characters or not making the narrator compete/overlap with them. Having to focus on two sets of dialogue is painful for many people.
Other than that its amazing, and its great that you have finally been able to make your animation.
Thanks for the suggestion! When I was working on the scene I felt bad for muting out all the background characters because they were voice acted by people who were very trilled to even be chosen as extras, it's probably why many people found it to be too loud or distracting, but it's poor planning on my part. I know now it's not a great way to handle the opening scene but it was scripted way back when and I couldn't bring myself to change it ^^"
I've seen other suggestions about how to handle that scene so I'll take them all into account, hopefully something like this won't happen again heh
You didn't necessarily have to mute them, it would have made the scene rather long and driven home how boring it is supposed to be for protagonist: you could have alternated BGCharacter/narrator. Something to remember, compromise hurts everyone.
DUDE. That was GREAT! Amazing first episode! You've set up the world and characters really well, and I'm eager to see what's going on in this lost forest, plus the little hints at other characters has me hooked, I want to see more of them!

okay, so i analyzed the video and looked at some of your older stuff, and am i the only one that noticed that the deer looked like the exact same one as "The Deer" (y'know, the main character). i found a map part in one of your videos(cant remember) where a deer looks over to a flower and its eyes widen. i think this is "The Deer" and he wandered into the forest and was infected with some sort of power that grew that moss on his eye and gave him his powers?? there could be something to do with the forest guardian and **P O S S I B L Y** the dragon smh

I finally got to watch this on my laptop and. Man. I keep saying this but you REALLY should be so proud of what you've made. I'm trying to put into words how much emotion this gave me but it's seriously difficult. I genuinely shed a tear when the episode ended. The animation was astonishing. I know you've teased us with bits and bites of it but it flowed so fluidly as it came together. The voice acting was spectacular, everyone did a great job. The original themes were also just fantastic. And let's not forget those gorgeous backgrounds and illustrated shots!
I'm sure this episode is going to spark inspiration throughout the community to work on their stories. This video was seamless and just a remarkable feat of animation for one person.
I also want to thank you immensely for giving me thanks at the end. That made me so, so touched. I'm really honored.
By all means, take as long a break as you need. Take a spa day, dude. You've earned it and then some.

I have not been following this series for a long time but I looked at the previous process and was blown away. As soon as I saw this video in my feed I IMMEDIATELY clicked on it, and this makes me want to see episodes two so much now. I love all the acting and the voices and the characters and just everyrhiNG AHHH IT'S SO GOOD. I am going to admit that I will probably watch this multiple times and I will share it so much. Im absolutely in love with the first episode! The personalities fit the characters so well and the animation is so well done! I feel sorry for you that it took 3 years to make, but then again, over the three years, this is absolutely astounding! Shall we say...it was all worth it. I'm surprised that you kept going even though it took you so long. A lot of people I know would've quit it and never really came back to it. I would love to see more of these series and more of character development between the two. Summing that all up, I am absolutely impressed and hope to see more of these soon! Thanks

Oh _wow._ Just _wow!_ I had to rewatch _quite_ a few parts of this video to appreciate separate things.
The animation was so smooth and lively! It was awesome to watch and it's very pleasing to see. The way the characters moved was just stunning.
And then the environments. I was absolutely astonished by how gorgeous it all was! They were all very colorful and artistic.
The voice actors also did outstanding. All of them were great. None of them sounded flat or monotone. They all had the same energy as the characters and the same reactions and tones as if they were in the situation themselves! That's some real talent!
And one of my favorite parts was seeing different peoples' characters in some parts (the story telling part had a lot of people I recognized like Beffa and I think even some of Shilly's characters!) and hearing a few familiar voice actors from other projects like Feral Pride.
The story so far is extremely compelling and I'll definitely put aside some time to draw some fan art for this series. *Congratulations for getting this out, Crowfolly!*

Overgrowth was such a refreshing thing to see. As much as I love wolves and cats, I feel that they're used so much that wolf stories especially get old for me. Sheep were a really interesting choice and everything about this production is beautiful! Masterful job!

Aw thank you! They're actually sheep but I took a whole lotta liberties when designing them years ago so they don't really look like it anymore lol

I've watched this seven times. When it came out, I didn't have wifi, so I watched it with my phone's data, and I really meditate wether or not I should spend data on things because I don't have that many, bUT THIS DESERVES IT AND I KNEW IT BEFORE WATCHING IT
Your style is so beautiful, I just can't describe how much I love it. tHE BACKGROUNDS ARE THE BEST I CAN'T GET OVER IT THEY'RE TOO NICE
This is f u l l of animation, seriously, I'd go crazy if I had to animate as much as you did, even if I had 3 years to do it, or 4, or 10 or my whole life. I'm not just talking about how dialogues are fully animated or how incredibly smooth everything is, there's also a lot of movement in the background and it's just amAZING
I also really enjoyed the characters, I've seen people saying that they're a bit cliche but I don't really agree. I could explain why but that's not the point. Btw I lOVE MILO HE'S THE BEST CHAR EVER
I've also seen people saying that the voices didn't really fit or that the music choices weren't the best, but again, I don't really agree. For the music I don't have much knowledge, but the voices were, in my opinion, just perfect ^^
The only real issue that I could find is that in 3:15 Milo says that there are predators in the lost forest, but in the rest of the episode they keep saying that there aren't and in fact there aren't even any animals. Maybe I misunderstood(?) or maybe it was intentional(??)
Anyway, that is the *only* issue I found, everything else is just great :D
There were a lot of things that I wanted to say but I forgot aghh... So I guess that I should stop before the comment get's too long, sorry if there were any misspellings, english isn't my first language :'3
I just hope you don't start getting comments like "its been 1 month weres next episud!11!!1" I'd be sad if you get discouraged and end up cancelling this, which sadly, happens pretty often. I wish you the best luck with this project! ^^
AH Thank you so much!! It made me so happy to read omg and Ah yeah! I wrote it like that because it's meant to portray all the mysterious things surrounding that place, no one really knows or can explain what happened, especially when things are passed around through word of mouth, facts can be blown up and become confusing so everyone has their own opinions/ideas about what REALLY happened there xD Some things will be explained later though haha (and there are some contradictions here or there because of my lack of foresight back then, but most can probably be resolved by inference lol)

With the milo thing I thought of it as speaking to his ignorance. Like milo has knowledge but doesn't know anything. He is very analytical and so wouldn't believe in magic or that stuff, so he believes it's cause of predators even though there aren't any.....Idk....I'm probably reading to far into this....

As so many others are saying this series goes above and beyond when it comes to the technical animation. Simply beautiful to watch and very impressive for a stand alone project, especially the newer bits. I can't wait to see how your animation continues to grow. The story itself is very intriguing, I look forward to how the writing progresses from here. Thank you so much for letting me be a small part of this series. Voicing Sheepy was such a blast I can't wait to see what new characters emerge. I know audio was something you found a bit challenging. If you ever need help with it please don't hesitate to ask me! I just graduated from college as an Audio Post student and am working in the field professionally now. It would be an honor to help you out with mixing or editing, even if its just finding/creating sound effects for you. :)

I have been waiting up until this point and I am glad you took as long as you did. It looks FLAWLESS, the animation is fluid and bouncy, the shading and coloring fits so well with the atmosphere. The music, the voices, the BACKGROUNDS. UGH! Perfect! This has to be my favorite youtube series, even though there is only one episode. I can't wait for episode 2. :)

Crowfolly Crowfolly you should seriously attempt to pitch this. Their are many studious that will invest in pilots especially of this quality.
UA-cam red, comedy central, fullscreen, tbs and fox all accept pitches from the public and you dont need to already be in the animation buisness for them to consider. Just maybe attempt to pitch it? Fullscreen contatnly funds youtubers, so they would be a good plsce to start ^u^
This is so underrated! You should be doing animations for big companies. Your art style and animation is so amazing and the characters are designed perfectly to their personality. Please keep continuing this amazing and spectacular serie and never give up even if you get any hate! I love this and can't wait to watch more!

I love this! The animation is excellent, the audio has good quality as well. The characters are very well made, from their designs to the different personalities. They look different, and are easy to tell apart. The story is very interesting, and original. It makes me want another episode so badly! :D
