I have that exact one! Lol the ethernet port is best used if it is hard wired to the router/modem itself. Usually you'd install a wall jack that connects back to the router/modem then the extender to that jack in your room for best wi-fi experience.
Your current setup, although you have an ethernet cable connected to the extender to your PC, the extender itself is still relying on the wireless signals from your router/modem and latency / wireless signal degradation is a real thing as well as wireless interference from thick walls or microwaves, etc.
And as you know, full wired ethernet connection is always far superior rather than Wi-Fi if it ever becomes possible for you

@@Juannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn 1 end goes from your router and 1 end goes into the wifi extender. But if you're going to put it that close, just plug it into your PC directly if you can. Im in the middle of making a setup where you plug 1 end into the router, 1 end into a 5 port switch, and then the switch goes to the wifi extender and the pc. But that's if you need more wifi coverage in weak connection zones.
@@ashouaxiong1404 I bought a netgear Wi-Fi extender, I only bought 1 that goes into my pc from a Ethernet cable, it worked, my Wi-Fi isnt bad like before and now it’s at about 30,40-70 it used to be 80,100-200 and my Wi-Fi router is only below me and diagonal from my room from there
move the extender half way from ur router and pc and setup a good wifi card, trust me.

Put the Wi-Fi extender close to your Wi-Fi router, if you were already getting crappy speeds on your pc and you place the extender right next to the PC, it won’t do anything… try it out and let me know.
What if ur pc was closer to ur router but u used this with ethernet, would it be faster with latency?

The extender would make your latency worse. Either your cable is shagged or your router is just bad
Try mesh or powerline adapter, or if you have coaxial cable, they make adapter too, which is way faster than extenders.

Not true. It depends on the Extender. I get around 9-15 ms latency on my nighthawk extender. The only downside to extenders is the cut download/upload speeds. Then again, it all depends on your ISP.

Okay first of all, repeaters are just not worth it and secondly, why would you even buy one for this? It only wastes a client on your AP and wastes a wireless channel. You really should just run an ethernet cable or use powerline for this, the repeater does nothing in this case because THE NETWORK CONNECTION TO YOUR PC IS STILL GOUNG THROUGH WIFI

The question itself doesn't make sense. Ethernet is NOT the same as Internet.
Does the extender you have just not have an ethernet port? If so, buy one that does

Do you mean you're not getting a connection signal? It's not shown in the video, but this unit is NOT plug-and-play meaning there is setup required for it to work the way he does it in this video
Although this unit is usually setup as an Access Point, depending on your network setup, this can be setup in "bridge-mode".
If you have not setup your extender and just plugged it in, please UA-cam how-to setup videos for your specific unit.
P.S. Knowing the exact model of your unit helps a lot when asking for help

this is pointless.. you are wasting your wifi extender and using it as a wifi repeter .. what you need to do is connect your wifi extender to the router with a rj45 cable and use a wifi repeter near your computer with cable .
