I'm very impressed with how much thought went into the layout of this home! I love the intimacy of the outdoor spaces. I'm also charmed by how the family living spaces and more formal entertaining areas are separate but flow into each other by way of the butler's pantry. There are some beautiful built-in furniture throughout the house, but I feel they got a little carried away in the dining room. The built-in cabinets and exposed wine glass rack cheapen the room a little, IMO. It looks more like an extension of the kitchen rather than a separate dining room. There is no need for the above-counter cabinets in the dining room. There is plenty of storage space in the butler's pantry-which is also where the wine glass rack should be. I'd prefer to see a beautiful free standing server or sideboard in the dining room, with a gorgeous painting above it. I love the upstairs-including the number and placement of bathrooms. The lower level is also lovely. As a personal preference, I'd enjoy darker tinted doors on the wine cellar. Also, shoutout to birdhousemediatv-I'm really enjoying your videos! :)
This tour is wonderful, the home is beautiful. I’ve watched this video about 10 times already. It could have been longer for me. I have subscribed and can’t wait to watch your new videos. Thank you!!!
Absolutely beautiful home. Kudos to Birdhouse. I feel like ur filming style has improved lately in the sense that, I am able to get an idea of the layout. I remember suggesting that you film this way as opposed to the frame after frame shots you do, and you almost picked a fight wimme. But in ur recent videos, I see you are able to capture everything perfectly and still manage to make it short which is all I was saying so gooood job. Now am really gonna consider subscribing and telling my friends as well. 😀😎👍👌
1. Waffled ceilings - not a fan, hard to clean! 2. Low ceilings - would prefer them higher but this would probably ift the budget better haha 3. Not sure why but I love that the front door isn’t straightforward, facing the street. 4. The backyard is amazing. Not obnoxiously big but not too small either 5. The formal dining area is also great because it still feels homey and not...grand. 6. I would love a home library/office just like that. 7. Weird slanting ceilings at some areas but I suppose those are functional This is such a great home because it actually looks and feels like one.
This is the house of Linwood Barclay? Noticed the poster up in the basement bathroom and did some digging.. they've done interviews there. It's such a beautiful home and I'm incredibly jealous.
I don't get the gorund floor plan. How many dining areas does it have?! Rest of the house is amazing. Love the last room that you showed. Perfect for VR gaming.
Could not agree more. What is this, Kitchen Overkill? Why in hell would you want a kitchen in the middle of your living room? Otherwise, very nice home. That downstairs bathroom sink, tho.
Home asking price was $3,499,000. I knew the homes in Toronto were expensive. I am just speechless as well as about $3, 450,000 short. Well, maybe next time.
this house in a good place, a lot of greens around, feels the quiet place. And house itself gorgeous. Everything I need, nothing exstra.... Is this in Canada ??
I have changed my mind. Could the builders make me a similar house in Barcelona, Spain? So we could add a pool since we are not here six months a year with snow up to our ass like in Ontario.
Sto guardando molti video di open house. Questa meravigliosa dimora mi piace molto, al momento è la mia preferita. La adoro, dentro e fuori. Arredi eleganti, colori rilassanti e soprattutto c'è posto per i miei adorati libri. Lascio l'Italia e vengo in Canada ;) Oooops! I can't afford it. :D
Am I the only person that finds having the kitchen right across from the living room really impractical? Imagine someone trying to watch TV and I'm blending a smoothie right across from them.
Main entry door location is confusing on the side. Why outdoor space in front and back for entertaining? Everything else is fantastic even the dents in the fridge door! 😉
I looove this house... But I still can't understand why a house that costs over 3 millions, can't have bathrooms in each rooms.... But it sure is beautiful.
@@kklucybv101 yup.. that seems to be the reason. But still... Bathrooms in each room should be a must lol. At least my family appreciate bathroom's freedom lol
ColomboCanadian with much Love eli don’t say that. Just being a being a single mom is all the strength you need to push forward. You can do it and you will ❤️. A house like this will only be the beginning for you
I moved out of the area 9 years ago and knew that when I signed the paperwork that we would never be able to afford to move back. I live on Vancouver Island and have been back to Ontario a few times. I would NEVER move back. My house was two years salary when I purchased it in 1980. The same house, with the same job is 7 years salary today. Here on the island my 1928 Arts and Crafts home of 2750 sq feet is maybe 500,000. In Oakville I'm sure it would be at least 1.5 million. You should move out here.
Interior and exterior designs are completely stunning. They organized this home very well
It looks like a home from one of those christmas movies starring perfect families, all gathered and laughing around one big smoking turkey at the end
@Perry Golston what?
@Perry Golston why you gotta ruin the vibe

This is such a great home, compliments to the designer(s)
Beautiful and graceful.....lovely interiors and exteriors.....gr8 sense of style.....!!
I loved it all cept that terrible red bathroom sink.
I liked it
And the kitchen Island is kinda tacky
Well it does add a splash of color but I would have made it something else.
And why must the oven be placed in between the refrigerator and freezer? That just looks weird.
@@scottscage6409 I liked that part
Although it is old the publication of this house is wonderful, gorgeous

This is a really nice property. Very tastefully furnished.
Les maisons canadiennes sont vraiment très belles et gigantesques! Elle semblent très chaleureuses et je m'imagine dedans en plein hiver dehors :)
Beautiful location Ontario, Canada. Haven't visited there in quite sometime.
So every time it rains the house owner will have to drag the sofas kept in the lawn inside the house?
Unique house shape, layout and design.

Ngôi nhà đẹp quá
Amazing!
I have changed my mind. Could the builders make me a similar house in Barcelona, Spain? So we could add a pool since we are not here six months a year with snow up to our ass like in Ontario.
snow is great. seasons are great. We here in Ontario love the brief interlude of snow, for the most part.
Beautiful wow
Beautiful home.....very inviting and appealing but I hated the way the video was edited.
I don't know what kind of house it is, only one thing I like is the camera on which the video was filmed!
Would have been nice to have a gate to seal out the back yard so people can't just casually walk into it from the streets.
Is this Home for sale?
I feel myself as if my eyes have received viagra.

LOVE IT ❤️
Main entry door location is confusing on the side. Why outdoor space in front and back for entertaining? Everything else is fantastic even the dents in the fridge door! 😉
Yes, that is a bummer. I like a front door to be at the front.
Very nice.
In this day and age, if I see a gas cooktop, certainly a big minus. Induction is the way to go.
Well that's odd - the link took me to a gambling website - hmmm.
The interior ISN'T grey!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Ugh... Oakville is just to expensive to live in for too little amenities. Too bad.
Beautiful ❤️

I live in Oakville and I’m a single mom and this video made me cry because I know I never will be able to buy for my son and I a house like this 😥

Just don’t plan on living in Toronto - it’s one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in.
Nice house. But your jumping style shooting disturbing. Do it in tortoise style. 😊
