i ride with some friends. but the paths in this vid look like the ones we go up to get to the good stuff. steeper, higher, faster hills ,small cliff jumps. super fun. wish it was more popular
Wow great video lads :) I have just started mountain boarding. I have got my own equipment ect and from bristol. I have gone to bugs boarding in Gloucester a couple of times and looking for other people and places to ride. And this looks awesome and not far at all for me so will defiantly be visiting there soon :)
Daniel Bracey I used to skateboard then I stopped 8 years ago as I never had time because I had kids ect. I picked up a mountain board 2 months ago and it didn't take me long to get the feeling of a board under my feet again.. trouble is I'm the only person in my town of glastonbury who mountainboards..im in Bristol a lot as my gf lives there.. fancy a mountain board buddy ? Sucks riding on my own haha
I feel the opposite, I used to and it looks boring i feel the music is trying to convince me its great . I'm gomma stick to biking lol I watched this for motivation to get a board again 😅 🙃
That dirt looks wonderfully carvable! Was the shot at the 2:45 time mark done from a helmet cam? I've been trying to find the best way to use my gopro while riding. I tried mounting it to the deck but there was just too much vibration. Any suggestions? And thanks for sharing the awesomness!
Looking forward to seeing some good skaters get into this. So far I’ve found a bunch of vids of people rolling around and doing 180s. Guess it’s still fairly new.
Yeah, agreed. Looks like a sport in its infancy. Gear doesn’t look ‘cool’ and neither do any of the tricks … looks great fun though. I’ve just moved into a property on a decent grassy hill - tempted to give it a crack.
I started out skateboarding and have been doing both for 15+ years. I've got several videos on my channel of a more "freestyle" focused style(flips, spins, etc). Also, check out guys like Matt Brind and Dylan Warren to see some pros get wild. Mountainboarding has been around for 20+ years, so there's plenty of footage of guys dropping hammers on them. You gotta start somewhere though.
With Bully2 coming out next year I wonder if they will have more than 1 type skateboard like motorboards, montin boards, and hover board that actually hovers. All customizable
An entry level board is from 100 to 200 dollars, I’m getting into the sport with a 10101 bms colt 90 another good one is the mbs atom 95x, both of these are great starter boards but I think the colt is better. There is a brake on the 95x but you can also get that on a colt 90x, will cost you an extra thirty dollars though. The boards are 200 dollars, the most expensive they get is around 2000 dollars but that’s only for electric ones, which I don’t think are necessary at all. Mbs is a great company I recommend looking looking at the board picker at mbs.com . One thing I have heard about them is that both the atom and the colt have Velcro straps which are not very good, and it’s recommended to upgrade to some other strap. As for your height to board height ratio, it doesn’t seem to matter too much, 33 inch boards are better for kids, and 39+ for adults, which could really mean anything. Also that was just written by someone on a forum made with lost of spelling errors.
Great video lads.. you inspired me to go do this.. i have no friends doing this but hope to make some.. i'm 48 years old and refuse to get old... can you please tell me where the place is that's near high wycombe? just bought a trampa board off ebay and need to get out there on it..even if i am Billy no mates..
Yes, High Wycombe - Kings Wood specifically. I'm from the dark North so have never been but it is a popular destination for us lot. Most UK mountainboarders are on here: facebook.com/groups/1664357287164139/ if you don't use Facebook let me know and I'll find another avenue for you :)
I wouldn't recommend it. Riding without heel straps allows you to push the board (the same way you would on a skateboard) and opens up possibilities for more tricks (one footers, supermans, etc). Heel straps really help lock you in tight, but you can't bail out as easily.
Some help please? I have a mountainboard, but at higher speed it starts shaking. Even on total flat land. I tightened the trucks, but not realy helped. :(
Looks like it works better than Mountain-Blading. Mountain-Blading is kinda a false promise because the tires are 5" or 6" and not knobby, there's no edge grip. If the ground is dusty/sandy, they stop instantly and you faceplant. At least you can go on flats/uphill. Maybe this terrain, I could actually do, looks ideal.
The tires absorb a lot of energy on paved surfaces, that's why longboard wheels are harder, for lower rolling resistance. The tires work fine and are fun on pavement, but they don't drift well they have super traction on pavement. I would would want disk brakes if I was going between both surfaces often. On dirt the bigger tires kind of float over the gravel and you can throw around your back tires just by shifting your weight like a on snowboard. There are way more advanced boards than those there. Like full fiber with quad suspension etc.
Hey there exists a board that only has two wheels, but they are bigger ... like small bike wheels... You can drive on street and also offroad... I forgot the name of it... if someone knows it please tell me

When it’s summer and the ski slopes are closed
Everyone considering doing this, dont forget you have to walk up the hill first
atiseru But on the way down you can hit thpse wild speeds of 10 mph!!!! Woooooooooo
nah they prolly got quads to go back up or dirbikes
Don't be a pansy. Walk.
No shit Sherlock!!!
thats why you make it electric then just swap wheels for asphalt
Gentle incline boarding**

Hi man, Yes, it was GoPro attached to the helmet of the rider. :)
awesome video even in 2021
Looks fun but i cant imagine getting stuck behind a group of mountain boarders on mtb trails going a quarter the speed a bike can😂
WHOA.. THT'S 2 KOOL DUDES!!
Supertramp-style! Very nice.
Mega man music for the win!
Wow bravissimi e bellissimo lo sport che fate

Noah Howson thank you for nodesing that I think it’s a hang
Stephanie Robertson its called a noose not a hang

Great vid !!!
Btw you can buy these at skatehut if you live in the uk
How clean does the trail have to be for this?
if you guys are set up in uk you should come down and try bugsboarding mountain board centre
when a mountain bike and a longboard mess around
They're all gangster until a mountain bike jumps over them.
I would love to try this.
God its awesome bro !!!
What ride ooohh
Why is the music on all of these videos so bad?
da music i epic
is
if it goes any higher in octaves it'll be a dog whistle
that's like your opinion man

the music is so loud and especially BAD
Hatersssss
C'dam A'ruz, I mountainboard and i think you’ll find that when your going fast its not easy to do big jumps or any height of jump
C'dam A'ruz you can’t really compare skating with hard wheels on flat concrete to going down a leafy hill with mini car tires
DEFINITELY. I couldn't watch the rest of the video.
Why does every action sports editor think "nice nature ambiance and the sound of tires? Nah BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM"
With Bully2 coming out next year I wonder if they will have more than 1 type skateboard like motorboards, montin boards, and hover board that actually hovers. All customizable
I race DH MTB and this is gnarly.
Johnny tsunami. Back on board
That's looks like so much fun, take my money 💸 how much for that?

@@immortalhamster1645 dang thanks for that info
@@littlek1265 also I spelled mbs bms so many times. Ironic really
where can i find one of those
@@immortalhamster1645 wow thanks ill note that if i buy one
Truthfully this looks a bit lame. How about bombing some long fast dirt roads, this forest shit just doesn’t show the potential.
ha ha , was just thinking that myself kid with long hair is decent rest are pussys :)
Awesome..! Legends.
Looks so fun
I need one of these boards next. So much shit to do in one life.
where or what stores sell dirtboards? i have been wanting to know for years but never saw one
Where do you get your boards
Mountain biking looks way sicker but hey what ever floats your boat
This looks like fun, but which bones shatter when you fall?
All I could focus on was the background music and the dude on the keyboard going crazy with the pitch bend
Jk:) it was cool
Feel like im a little late to this party but sweet video, cant put my finger on why but its somethings missing from my mountain board video
Really nice!
With the Electric Motors it's even better.
BANGARANG!!!!!!
Great film. Even better with the music muted.
I can ask ... where did you buy it? I like the way you have the leg attached here on both sides, thank you in advance.
Landing in snow without the snow looks like an exhilarating way to die,
I may have just found my post apocalyptic means of transportation...
whoever came up with the idea to that music shall be slapped really hard.....
I just bought one and am respectfully scared. Big props dudes.
Epic , I agree
Not at all

thanks mate I am on Facebook will try find y8u & add you if that's OK buddy
That's fine. My profile picture has a mountain board on it if you look closely yo help you find me
Never too old to do anything mate
I snowboard & this looks similar movements, or is it totally different?
That looks soo awesomee
I remember watching g a movie on Disney Channel and they used these
Yeahhhaaaa where is that? not too bad needs a nice big air jump after that nice drop in at the end :D
England, near the town High Wycombe :)
Nice if you build some nice jumps id come camp out there and ride would be sick! :D
Ahh I wish I had a crew like that to ride with, I'm in the UK too but find it hard to meet other boarders
Lololol this looks like a montage of nerds turning into bad guys or EXTREME.
is it better to have heel straps with these? if so then what is the differance?
I wouldn't recommend it. Riding without heel straps allows you to push the board (the same way you would on a skateboard) and opens up possibilities for more tricks (one footers, supermans, etc). Heel straps really help lock you in tight, but you can't bail out as easily.
you guys are good
Some help please? I have a mountainboard, but at higher speed it starts shaking. Even on total flat land. I tightened the trucks, but not realy helped. :(
It's all about how you position your feet and control your weight, make sure your trucks aren't too tight or you won't be able to turn
This put me off buying a mountain board
Looks like it works better than Mountain-Blading. Mountain-Blading is kinda a false promise because the tires are 5" or 6" and not knobby, there's no edge grip. What boards do you guys use?
Imagine taking one of these boards to Whistler
guys do you find it hard to find places to ride a park near me has trails but they dont even let mt bikers on them just people and horses
I would love to try
How to slow down with these things?
3:10 that noose though
I’m curious how giant rubber wheels like that would work on hard concrete going downhill . Those are neat boards but there’s room for improvement
The tires absorb a lot of energy on paved surfaces, that's why longboard wheels are harder, for lower rolling resistance. The tires work fine and are fun on pavement, but they don't drift well they have super traction on pavement. I would would want disk brakes if I was going between both surfaces often. this is a nice sport. but what should you do if there is a bear?? do you have to take off your shoe straps and run?
I have the yellow guys helmet, it’s dope
I agree
sup luke is that kings wood at high wycombe?
Yes it is :)
Hey there exists a board that only has two wheels, but they are bigger ... like small bike wheels...
You can drive on street and also offroad...
I forgot the name of it... if someone knows it please tell me
Wie bremst man die Dinger?
Gheeeeey!
Looks fun but unless there is a ski lift back to the top I'm not down
Awesome!
I want a board like this.
What show was it that did this was it rocket power? Someone let me know
I have my uncle's mountain board and I didn't know what it was called or what it was used for
I have one of these but never knew the potential
Mountain bike trail will do
its cool but we have bicycles you know, they go uphill and stuff
These don't have brakes?
What's the name of board?
Where do i buy one
why is there a noose 3:15???
Are these not electric?
