Well done Freddy! 👏👏👏. 75 miles next year is gonna need consistency for the next 12 months. No pushing hard on the speed… just go long and slow for 12 months. You will be even more awesome than now! Take care! You can’t afford an injury.
Thanks Alec, that’s the aim. I’ve not really trained specifically for it this year, so pretty happy to get 11 laps. Definitely wanting to focus more on it for 2025 though 😊 Good to see you’re still around 👍
Saw you there and gave you a shout out. Fabulous achievement. I surpassed my expectations, 30 miles non stop ( not ran further than 16 non stop before) then added another 20. Brilliant event
@@freddyruns not planning to. Done it 3 times in a team and once solo. Falls on same day as Sheffield round run ( another fab event) but you never know may do it as a pair as I’ll suffer from fomo
Well done Freddy, I was lucky enough to catch up with you on loop. Amazing effort by all runners and a great weekend. Just had a confirmation email for 2025. Hope you see you back out there, keep up the great vlogs
Well done and an amazing achievement. All of you were fantastic and it was nice to bump into you and share a few miles too! Hope we all get to do it again next year. Lovely video. Keep fit and well!
Congratulations to you all on your PBs!!! What a fantastic weekend! Scot is so right, the secret is to EAT! You've got me excited to sign up for my next ultra! What a fun looking event that was!
Well done Freddy! It was such an absolutely brilliant weekend and everyone did amazing but this is what it's all about, having fun and supporting each other, and the community never disappoints. Can't wait to see what you do next year. More is definitely in you.
@@Pocket_Rob keep eating, keep drinking, keep moving. I'm not a fast runner but I am quite calculated. I don't go to out too fast and I'm strict with energy conservation. Don't over think it. doing it is the only way to get it done and it's your mind that will keep you going. I know that as long as I keep moving the numbers will stack up. Don't think in miles/km. Only think about starting the next lap. If you start it, you'll probably finish it. I took a nap when it got light. About 40 mins seems to be ideal. It refreshes you but you don't get into a deeper sleep that's harder to get up from and it's easier to get up in the light than if it's still dark. Get ready to start your next lap before you get food/have a nap so you can get up and go. Don't take your shoes off!
@@Pocket_Robit's also worth saying that I absolutely love these events and my main aim is to experience it as fully as possible. Although I had distances in mind that I thought I could do, my main aim is to keep going for the full 24hrs and I think that naturally produces a slightly different approach.
Great video and congrats on a brilliant effort to you all - brings back memories (painful ones). Night rain meant it was freezing by 5 am. Did see you on the course but wasn't in a great state to say hello by then. Advice to any one doing this get there very early on Friday to grab a prime track side pitch like Freddy got, I just about managed it at 9.30 am, later than that and you would be struggling .. 16 laps down and binned out about 6.30 am in agony. Good luck next year, would agree with Brice,, don't stop
My advice from someone of around the same running ability as yourself is to not sleep and don't have secondary tragets. We were at Leeds and for us it was 100k or we classed it as failure, we went though the night and finished our 13th lap at 20:45.
@@freddyruns hopefully. Will definitely bring better camping equipment next time; makes a big difference being able to get your head down for a few good hours
Thanks Dougie! I’ll be there with Scott and the others next year, definitely be sure to say hello. Are you going alone? You could grab a spot where we are, so you have plenty of company 👍

@@freddyruns have had my own injury challenges in the last 8 months. I was too cavalier, and needed to rein in the fast stuff.
@@Alecmcq hope you’re doing better now mate
