  • Cheap and easy way to make a crown :D
    Length of strips: 21.5 cm
    Width of strips: 2.5 cm
The shape was certainly inspired by the Queen of Hearts in the game Alice: Madness Returns (one of my favorite games as many people know)
I have been dying to make one for myself and and so happy to finally do it. Hopefully this can help some of you out in future cosplays, costumes or just wearing around for fun!
And hopefully the techniques can be transferable in accomplishing other projects ^.^
I am beyond happy I was able to upload this
My editing software was having major issues due to the amount of footage that went into this. I was terrified I was going to lose all my editing
Luckily editing is pieces worked out, so all is well ^_^
    Hope you enjoy!
    Products I Used:
    ~ Craft Foam
    ~ Hot glue gun
    ~ Dollar store scissors
    ~ Ruler
    ~ Modge Podge: Gloss Finish
    ~ Tremclad Black Spraypaint
    ~ Dazzling Metallics: Shimmering Silver
~ Windsor and Newton Artist's Acrylic: Alizarin Crimson
    ~ Crafter's Acrylic: Gold
    ~ Crystal Clear Top Coat
    Song: Sunrays
    Artist: DJ Erhain

I remember watching this video ages ago and I came back to it now since I'll need to make a crown with a similar structure for my next cosplay, but watching it again I realized that all the techniques you taught in this video, like using scrap foam to pick up excess glue and gluing the strips to the edge of the circle to make it bevel, I took those all to heart and use them whenever necessary. So, thank you for teaching your various tricks in this video. It may seem small but it's helped in nearly every single one of my projects.

You must have teflon fingertips. I would have never thought this was made from foam board. Very cute.

This looks waaaayy better than the 1 Dollar Crown I wanted to buy and it is individual. I think I'm going to try this instead of buying the cheap plastic crown. Thanks😊 the crown is gorgeous😍

I just made this last night. It was pretty quick and easy. I didn't want to paint it, so I used black, gold, and red glitter foam for each piece accordingly. I am excited to wear it with my costume.
