Yup. And I also wouldn't count Batman plans as betrayal. After all he has even plan for himself (it is why he train Robins). It is simply Batman thing to do and reaction of League regard that was vastly immature.
I though Terra would be included in this since her betrayal in Teen Titans was as major as Maxwell Lord in Justice League. Also Catwoman sells out Batman to Superman in Injustice Year Five.
@@mickobinsotosworth9759 Firstly Injustice isn't Dark Multiverse and secondly if alternates universes don't count then neither should Dark Knight Returns universe.
@@AryanKing94 He didn't said that it is. This list is shamefully bad as instead including actual plot-twists like for example mentioned Terra. It sadly rely on bullshit drama like Batman being a Batman and having Batplans. No shit! Anyway because Injustice is literally based on idea of turning everything upside down. Most of betrayals in it are kind of expected.
How about in 'Doomsday Clock' when it's revealed that Professor Stein not only ran a covert government program to create metahuman operatives (including most of Firestorm's rogues gallery) but actually planned the nuclear 'accident' that created Firestorm --and specifically CHOSE Ronnie Raymond for his dormant metagene?
People being shocked that WW killed Lord never made sense to me. 1. She kills all the time, just not usually humans. 2. Lord was mind-controlling Superman and admitted his death was the only way to break connection. How can people not understand that it was completely justified? At the end of the day, she's a warrior who does what needs to be done. The in-universe reaction to her taking out Lord was dumb and purely to drive other plot points forward. It was only shocking because they said it had to be.
If I recall....Max Lord was a well known public person? And given that litterally the world had no idea what he was doing and suddenly Wonder Woman in front of the world more or less killing him...I think that in verse it makes sense why it’s “shocking” and like you said...she normally doesn’t kill a normal person
@@killerzombie2171 I can see how that might be confusing to the public, but people go evil and get brainwashed all the time. WW could've easily offered that explanation. But Batman and Superman shamed her for it as well, which was dumb considering the circumstances. At the least, Superman should've shown some support since she did it to save him from mind control.
I love the marvel movies, but the worst thing about them is the fake fans they create. Fans who couldn't even name the original 5 Avengers, and who crap on DC because it's the "cool" thing to do.

Jean Loring killing Sue Dibny might be considered huge, but people tend to forget she was also responsible for the death of Robin's (Tim Drake) father Jack as well. Sure, Captain Boomerang was the actual killer, but Jean hired him, even though she did intend for Jack for die…..
As far as I'm concerned, the most shocking betrayal in the DC comics, by far, is Hawkman & co. feeling they are entitled to edit other people's personalities to suit their needs. It's exactly what Darkseid wants to do with the anti-life equation. You can't call yourself a hero if are doing villain stuff.
Well at the end of the most recent Teen Titans story-arc the Titans basically do the same thing. Basically the other Titans Red Arrow, Roundhouse, Kid Flash, Djinn, and Crush discover that Damian has kept a major secret from them that being underneath the team base at Mercy Hall is a supermax prison built by Damian containing a good chunk of some of the most dangerous villains in the DC Universe with Damian imposing on them a life sentence and understandably the rest of the team is pissed about this for two reasons one it's illegal, and two Damian did not tell them about this. And this leads to two of the biggest disasters for the team those being the death of Roundhouse's older sister Claire which Will called Damian out on even though technically Claire's death was due to a case of "wrong place wrong time", and a failed mission involving Deathstroke which results in Red Arrow quitting the team and going back to Seattle to live with Green Arrow after she was forced to kill Slade. This results in Damian and the rest of the team being forced to make a decision concerning the prison that being keep the villains imprisoned although with better conditions or let them out and run the risk of them committing crimes again so the team unanimously agrees to an alternate solution that alternate solution being having Djinn alter their personalities so they can be released and getting a chance to live a normal crime-free life although both Wally and Djinn mentioned even though they're agreeing to this they still think it's a bad idea due to the fact if this ends up backfiring on them there will be massive unavoidable fallout. And Damian's response is "If this plan backfires on them and there is fallout they'll handle the fallout together."
Eeeeeeeeeh, maybe YEARS ago, but these days T'Challa has beliefs that he will at times put over his duties, although he will be King to the best of his abilities so long as he feels he is in the right.
How about watchmen? Ozymandias betrays the world, Rorschach betrays the other superheroes to tell the world about ozymandias' betrayal, and the other heroes betray Rorschach when his world view is extremely problematic for them. is it me or is every part of watchmen people betraying other people?
you know what is crazy is marvel stole the plot for Tower Of Babel for a episode of the Avengers cartoon Nighthawk uses all of Falcons plans he made as a project to take down all of the Avengers samething
Terra was revealed to be a traitor to the readers some time before the actual betrayal happened. That took some of the sting out of it when her teammates found out.

Wait! The most famous Teen Titans story isn't on there. The one literally named after JUDAS? As in traitor? As in selling out a friend?
To be fair, he does usually talk about the Titans one every other video...
That one wasn't as shocking since we knew it was comming almost right from the start.
It says shocking. As in unexpected.

You never expect betrayal from an enemy.
DC comics are the best when it comes to storylines, characters, villians and so on. Just because of bad movies DC shouldn't get so much hate
Ha! And marvel the opposite.
DC movies aren't as bad is people go on about

Terra From Teen Titans
Do i need to say more
It should Definitely be over Aquaman Backing Atlantis and An Alternate Universe
JUDAS
Hell of a way to start a video 🤣
Dear Whatculture, if you would create a part two that would much appreciated
You forgot to include J. Allen Brak in that list of traitors at the start.
Uhhh...Tara? Teen Titans? Judas Contract? How about Karen Page betraying Daredevil to score heroin?Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Umm Terra??? Judas Contract??? Probably the biggest DC betrayal and not even on the list??
"Betrayal,They Betrayal me".Spoony about Ulitma 9.
Brother I, as in the Roman numeral, is spoken as Brother Eye. It's a 1984 reference. 'Brother mark one' is just nothing...
Number 3 makes me sad
So many good stories.
How about watchmen? Ozymandias betrays the world, Rorschach betrays the other superheroes to tell the world about ozymandias' betrayal, and the other heroes betray Rorschach when his world view is extremely problematic for them. is it me or is every part of watchmen people betraying other people?
Watchmen was revolutionary in it's imagining of super-"heroes" behaving like REAL PEOPLE
Wonder Woman leading superman down the road to tyranny in injustice i think is a bigger betrayal.
What happened to Hal was yet another part of the long list of how The Guardians dun goofed.
Do a video on the X-man Evan Sabin ur, the young clone of Apocalypse who goes to the Xavier school
Bat Boots to that super chin for being number one on the list.
"Barry Allen Reboots the DC Continuity"
Any DC Fan knows this is not a rare revolation
Should do another list of betrayals in marvel; avengers, x-men, fantastic four, defenders, etc.
Omar Lawrence dont encourage them bro comicsexplained is a way better channel and more accurate
Wilfred Dellschau lol
you know what is crazy is marvel stole the plot for Tower Of Babel for a episode of the Avengers cartoon Nighthawk uses all of Falcons plans he made as a project to take down all of the Avengers samething
Now this is a video
Didn't Doomsday clock retcon Flashpoint? Made it that Dr. Manhattan created the new 52 universe. Not Barry.
What did Josh Brown Do or who did he betray?
It was vandal savage not Ra's wasnt it? Or is that just in the animated?
Yeah, it was animated only. That GL was Jordan and the one from the comics was Raynor.
Um, The JUDAS Contract? How does this classic Teen Titans saga somehow not end up on this list, let alone make No. 1.
What?!? Where’s Terra in The Judas Contract??
Terra was revealed to be a traitor to the readers some time before the actual betrayal happened. That took some of the sting out of it when her teammates found out.
Dunno why you said “oh gawd” at Reagan being president in TDKR but okay.
Batman probably compiled those take-down plans over one weekend
Are we just pretending Judas Contract doesn’t exist. I at least expected an honorable mention
Ironically, the vast majority of these stories were involved in sending DC Comics into a downward spiral, which is still being felt today.
Wonder woman usually decapitates fools
Let's not forget that batman and zatana are childhood friends.
3:37 Definitely for worse.
Either DC or Marvel, the most shocking betrayal is to the fans.
Why is number 10 a shocker?
What happen to Jason’s mother afterwards though......
Wasn't she in the same building that Jason was when it exploded?
@@GabePuratekuta I believe so, she might’ve died as a result of the explosion, heck Batman may or may not decided on finding her remains
@@stevencisneros9306 I don't think he even knew she was there. And if he did, Finding Jason's corpse made him forget about her completely.
@@GabePuratekuta he would’ve do both instead of just one tbh
What about Snapper Carr betraying the Justice League to the Joker?
Judas contract?
....really? not even a single mention of the Judas Contract?
does Atomica count as a betrayal. can you betray someone if you were never on their side.
WHAT DID JOSH BROWN DO!
Darkseed
Betrayed
I both agree with and hate that Batman uses not trusting others as reason to violate all of their trust and create plans to put them all down. 😂
