Hi Linda, I'm an ex Fisher man due to medical issues, we always made sure we had something put away for a rainy day, just in case the fishing was bad, on the good trips that's when we didn't over spend, when we got paid, always stay with in your means
Howizit TK😎 I have been enthusiastically following your off-shore longline adventures for quite awhile now. I have always admired the manner you Skippered your previous vessel 'Sharp Shooter' and your solid connection you had with your crew. I wish you all the best at the helm of your new vessel and that Tangaroa bless you with safe passage, smooth sailing, and your hooks are laden with giant Tuna and Swordies. Best of luck from NZ, My Bro! 👈😎👌 Go Well
Now I’ve never fished on a long liner like this but Lets do some maths together. It’s a 30 mile mainline , divided by 6 that’s 5 mph ( about 4 knots ) which might seem a little slow …..but if they did it in 2 hours they’d have to be baiting and steaming at 12 knots . Working from another angle, 900 hooks & baits is 2.5 hooks a minute …..sounds pretty busy to me ?…..If they did that in 2 hours they’d be baiting 7.5 hooks a minute min or a bait every 8 seconds which seems tad frantic ? I know TV producers like to exaggerate but I think Linda is a pretty experienced skipper and straight shooter (pun intended)…..if she says 6 hours total I’d bet that’s about right. Great show by the way, the drama of real life at sea doesn’t need to be hyped up and honest people working hard is great ….to watch 😅😊😅😂
really enjoy the series as I love fishing for tuna and marlin but theres something I need to know, did they use the money they saved from all the bad bleach hair jobs to pay for the John Wayne impersonator who's narrating?
Right!?! Sometimes I wonder why I like these shows so much when I get so upset whenever they kill a fish?? Especially when its a shark. I hate to think what they do if they hooked a dolphin or something like that!
It's his first time get someone to stay with him and show him until he knows what to do, it's not rocket science, then leave him on his own, if he doesn't know after that get someone else, simple
Ben's first night and your laughing, remember your first night or day you should be able to help him instead of having a laugh, he will get there just like you did, it's not funny out fishing, one boat middle of the ocean with a crew could be gone in minutes, your there to help each other not laugh
Hi Linda, the commentator you were out of the game for 10 years and it shows, I didn't think that was a fair comment, from him just to make a programme, if the fish aren't there you just wave a magic wand, just the same as us there one minute gone the next
And stop shouting, you won't have a crew if you shout, nobody will want to listen to you or fish with you, believe me I've been there, and walk away and told them to keep the money, only to see captains poaching and begging for crew, and also captains who realised and became a nicer person on the sea
Captain Scotty seems like a genuine nice bloke.
Really tho chomp on the other hand
I love this show and Deadliest catch, both are fantastics and entertaining with heart beating seeing them risks their lives for a living 👍👍👍

Captain Scotty is every fisherman's dream captain
Wouldn't it be better just to set up shop in Newfoundland
It’s not that simple it’s got to do with countries and boat origins it makes everything more difficult

Normally if we paint the deck we mix it with sand and not beach sand it's salty use unsalted sand, and maybe less chance of sliding
😂😂LMAO, using salty beach sand don't make a diff at all. That's all my father used when he painted the deck of his boat..
Damn!!
I thought this was a parody of Michael Smiley ❤
So is he any relation 2 Zig Hansen from Deadlist Catch???
Eagle eye 2 my best team so far
It's So much Better to Watch Wicked Tuna!

My favorite fish swords and halibut
Long life seaman
Its not good losing your head on a boat, doesn't help the rest of the crew either calm down and work or leave if you can't hack it
ถ้ามีพากไทยคงจะดีมากๆๆเลยครับ

Hooking baits on the boat is not as easy as hooking on the land...need to balance and all... aseasier said than done
more then 1 baiting
If it’s at sea I’m sure they would be using nautical miles
My boat did 40-50 miles, 6 knots, 15 sec a hook
Tim looks like Rob Iler from The sopranos
Boats looks exactly like there captain
Compers is a unit

Wear a god danm protective glove when gutting fish out at sea!
Stupidity at the highest when you don’t! It’s one wave and you loose a finger or more.
Never have men earned their money as much as fishermen
Scotty Dabrovicc are you from Croatia?
Why is it taking six hours to shoot 1000 hooks?? Should be like two hours shoot away, four hour winch up
That would be just over 200 an hour, making it just over 3 hooks a minute. Seems about right if my mental math is right.
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

I wonder what the Bi-Catch is on lines miles long?

@@nicollekyostia6764 do you eat fish? Poultry? Meat? Vegetables?
Nicolle, dolphins are not stupid enough to take long line baits.
See me praying for sea hawk lol
Scotty all day long
Crikey does that sea ever calm i was a lot safer behind my desk and computer Friday morning overtime
Dude on the little boats girl friend is screwing the green horn captain better watch out or green horn going to be running that boat
It's his first time get someone to stay with him and show him until he knows what to do, it's not rocket science, then leave him on his own, if he doesn't know after that get someone else, simple
Sorry for all the writing but that's my experience I'm now over 60 in not so good health I do really miss fishing 😢
"Maybe get a business degree" lol you'll make more surfing then.
That doofus of a greenhorn would have been told to take his floating toy and foxtrot oscar on any vessel i was on.
Episode 1 hot
I am from Croatia super ste !!!dali se može doći Ici svama na ribe inače sam ribar ako bude koje misto slobodno javite mi pozzu👍👍👍
Though a bucket of water on me I'll hit you with the deck hose

Why can't they let the sharks and other bi catch loose as nice as they let that baby swordfish go?
Because that's throwing away money..they still get paid for bicatch

Yeah I seen that to, I don't think they have had any training 🤔
Does Chompers, always whine? He is so annoying
Get a new commentary person, he's talking crap just to make a show and making a show out of everyone
thats how show works boomer

I was in Newfoundland last year to visit family. I recognize some of these accents lol.
