Respectfully it is very easy to see the name Kh@listan as extreme.
This addresses remarks in video before and after @17:55 - approx
You have to ask what has shaped your view and the view of most people? (rhetorical not aiming it at any one in particular 🙏).
The narrative/rhetoric that was sold to the world by india was it is an extreme faction of Sikhs, nobody supports. [The indian regime can be defined as the system]. It includes those that run it. This is a separate area/issue/topic that needs to be looked into to understand the dynamics/facets to the whole Khalistan conversation. Khalsa are opposed to tyrannical systems and oppression of all minorities
Not understanding the various aspects will give you a limited understanding. As stated above they labelled Khalistans as extreme and as terrorists! The word 'Khalis, = 'Khalas' which means Pure. "Stan" likely derived from Persian (many words in Sikhi come from Persian as its language dominated the 'South Asian continent' of what is now modern day "india". Borders (well hard borders as they are now) did not exist as such back then! Great wall of China waa probably the only real hard border on the world to exist, interestingly.
The definition of Khalas as you will find is:
" Khalsa, derived from the word Khalas, meaning pure, is an initiated Sikh and community of Sikhs who are committed to truthful living, a life of purity. "
What we call those who have taken amrit!
Hopefully this gives you some understanding of the importance of the word! Something the "indian regime" is full aware of! Many Sikhs (living the life prescribed by Gurus) will be offended because:
    1. The real meaning of the word
    2. The many Sikhs (GurSikhs) that gave their lives going back to 1947 and even earlier. Not just beginning in the 1980s (Sant Bhindrawale Ji) continuing into the 1990s (Jaswant Singh Khalera). Highly recommend the book: The Valiant: Jaswant Singh Khalra by Gurmeet Kaur (available on mightykhalsa).
    3. Why would Khalsa back down or withdraw from something they actively pursued - for them it means something else! Its like asking them to withdraw it because an enemy of their own choosing have decides to redefine it?! Would you let someone dictate your culture, your religion, your rights? Changing it or removing it is like making a concession due to external pressure! An attempt to destroy the word 'khalas' (pure). If you don't have purity what are you left with as a Sikh?
@19:40 would refer you to time of misls! Sikhs can come together and they need to for it to work. We all need to be under 'one' banner regardless of caste (jaat paat) and jatha-bandi (a sikh should be free from any associations with groups - should be a self-existent entity doing seva when and where ever needed/necessary). Even if they want to remain in a group / still have respect for others. No one bigger or greater than another. For a Sikh it is Guru Ji and Vaheguru Ji 🙏
We are all on our journey of spiritual enlightenment /emancipation if it is in our destiny to do so! Even being a good person and/or having realisation of 'G-d' would be something!
Although many would argue Khalistan just semantics (who cares?),as during Maharaja Ranjeet Singhs time it was called: Sarkar-I (pronounced 'E')-Khalsa. Many Sikhs changing the name from saying Khalistan to 'Punjab Homeland, @17:55(ish) do not only see it as a form of disrespect of what its name was but also see it as dishonouring the lives given by those that fought (attempted to free it) for its independence).
Side note: Its been called Punjab as part of its annexation to form India by the British preceeding 1850 after they kidnapped the Kings son (dethroned) and sent him to England to ensure he (Maharaja Duleep Singh) had no concept/understanding of his Kingdom/Raj and to ensure he would never rule.
While the queen (his mother) Maharani Jind Kaur was 'deposed/forced to abdicate' from 'the raaj' by being sent to another region in india never to be allowed to return.
England looted The Sikh Treasuries and to this day holds onto the vast majority of it!
Even myself before doing my research thought we should try to distance ourselves as much as possible from the word 'Khalistani' and Khalistan. This was until i realised the significance and how the word was transformed from something founded in truth/purity to label it/redefine it as something dirty associating it with "terr0ri$ts (-ism)".
This is when i realised it was nothing to be ashamed of! Sikhs will also not compromise the truth! This fight has been going for a long time (our parents/family may not have an understanding but the one sold to them by the authorities).
Sometimes it may well be easy to take the path of least resistance but when has path of Sikhi ever been easy? It is only with their perseverance and hard work through peaceful protests/activism have people began to realise what it means! I'd urge everyone to do their own research. Be careful not to enter rabbit holes where the misinformation/disinformation may be strong. Highly suggest different sources or recommended lists by those who know. Our source of info should be organisations like Basics of Sikhi who are attempting to educated people with Sikhi and act as a guide to (well known) sources they can use! Just to reiterate: many fake sources out there so be careful what you read/where you get materials from respectfully. All I will say is Sikhs on Gurus Path will not give you biased info. Anyone who may have doubts for what ever reason please approach a group or have a discussion with 4 or 5 of them if it helps you to feel more at ease. Can very much reassure you they are not as extreme as some may think (perhaps not knowing anything different).
As part of Indias campaign to ensure the word terr0rist stuck you need to look into 'bl@ck cats", the many operarions that were run to ensure "freed0m fighter$" or militants were given a label of "terr0r!sm" during the course of the eighties after 1984. They undertook many operations to infiltrate and parade around as Sikhs conmiting crimes against the.civilian population to ensure people would remember for generations to come. The real Sikh freedom fighters/milit@nts never committed crimes against the general population.
Personally there seems to be a disconnect or non-realisation of what Sikhi is and resorting to/conducting crimes of some sort?! It is mutually exclusive! A Sikh will always maintain his moral code of conduct even if he is a militant or is fighting for justice! Some may be more passionate than others but does not necessarily mean they are extreme and again someones views/sensitivities does not mean everyone is the same or they are all extreme! Perhaps it is eaay to stereotype! Is this through your own experiences or because you heard from someone? 🤔
For a Gursikh its the Gurus teaching/understanding s/he lives upon not something that is contradictory to the code of conduct!
It is really sad to know when people acrually believe the rhetoric sold to them without doing their own research! Hopefully Indy / Dr if you read this - you will do your own research. Personally in my opinion being what is defined as a "moderate" falls into the definition of what the indian state wants all Sikhs to be like? Ever ask why? Will leave that as an exercise if you or anyone chooses to probe it further!
It would be great if you get someone on that you can interview like edit: Manpreet Singh (World Sikh Parliament, as an alternative to the name mentioned in an earlier comment)| there are several well versed people who can speak on subject [As someone mentioned in comments - speak with SikhPA or Basics of Sikhi who can point you in the right direction to match your podcast/requirements (as you prefer] | sure they will assist in this matter!
Apologies if I said anything wrong, no offence intended. This subject is complicated and has so many aspects to it I am sure i've done it an injustice but hopefully put forward a comment that gives everyone more to think on, although very limited indeed!
Please do your own research and furthermore the topic of 1984 is discussed on "BOSTV" channel. Can be found here on utube. I'm sure it will give a far better, understanding than i can! 🙏
They are recent uploads so you should be able to find them easily (3 or 4 podcasts). It is a channel by Everythings13 / their other channel is called: Basics of Sikhi [not here to promote, no affiliation, just directing you to a source that is truthful and can be trusted for a balanced/unbiased view ].
Look forward to hearing more on the channel. 🙏
Please remember the use of word "Khalistan" is to deliberately be divisive (a lot of planning and marketing went into it) and anyone falling for it is in my opinion falling for the very well planned / orchestrated propaganda that originates from the indian government. As Sikhs I would argue its our duty to do the research and realise how propaganda works - it is not a conspiracy. 🙏
Other aspects could be mentioned but this comment is a lot longer than was anticipated already. Many different dots that need to be looked at in conjunction with each other to truly understanf. Difficult to look at by considering any one incident/history in isolation. Many may not see it as a war - but it continues today - just look at indian media over the last 2 years. It is collectively called "godi media" referring to Modi (the current face of "india" politics). Again urge everyone interested to do their research before arriving at any decision/conclusion on 'The Sikh Movement for Freedom'.
No offence intended. Please forgive me for any mistakes, sure there are many. Apologies for spelling. 🙏

Also you missed a crucial point...
Same Protesters were doing this 3-4 days ago outside a Gurudwara but they did it 150 meters away from Gurudwara Gate...
But in case of mandir they did it right in front of the gate to instigate and do provocative sloganing....
Also i hope you have seen the video of attack and who started it first by swinging khalistan flag sticks and using it as a weapon to attack inside temple premises...
This is not a random thing which just happened...
There was a peel police officer off duty on protest...
Certainly bringing the two tier policing out in public...
Brampton is the most hated place in Canada for a reason... every other day videos are going viral of Punjabi people irrespective of religion doing stuff not comprehenable even in Indian villages...
Sikh expo page is definitely not the credible source of info...there are much better sikh pages then that....
Also Sikh expo page is pro british muslims...
It never posts regarding the actions of British muslims towards sikh girls and women...
It didn't even mention the attack on sikh girls in Leicester for same reasons...
No post on grooming gangs either

Pannu is not helping, he should have calmly set up the narrative about the truth of Indian politics targeting minority groups to gain politically. Instead he started threatening and insinuating violence, not the right time for that. Sometimes it feels as if some pro-Khalistani workers are speaking in the hands of Indian Intelligence (controlled opposition strategy by India). Which I cannit agree with, targeting your own minority groups for political gains and we have to educate the majority Hindu so they wake up from the fake propaganda done to herd them into vote banks. In fact he is one of a few people that uses his right to protestand in my opinion a passionate activist!
Using a particular case - He was one of only a very few people who made a stand against indian government officials being invited to a gurdwara to discuss government issues over a private banquet setup for them!
Not even langar - everyone should be treated the same! Langar is for everyone to take together, not in a private/vip area! Plus more to it including representation of a rogue fascist regime! [Not an opinion, factual! Based upon reports from governments and humanitarian watchdogs/NGOs.
The whole drama of hosting officials privately detracts from philosophy / Gurus maat of:
      " Pangat fehr Sangat! "
They (gov officials) were confronted at The Gurdwara and made a run for it without question! Video available somewhere.
      Well done Shamsher! [Salute]👍🙏
Ever since his probably been put on a hate list to frame and picture him as a what Indy/Dr deem/use a borrowed term "PKE"! Perhaps a better interpretation of which would be:
