In this video I shoot 2 3/4" 00 Buckshot at 25, 50, and even 100 yards. I test Federal flite control buckshot and standard buckshot to see the difference in patterns.

Three years out and still a very relative and useful video. Thanks for creating and posting it.
Thank you for your time spent providing us this video. It was very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for this test. Pretty rare to see an 18" barrel used for tests like this. Appreciate it.
Thank you, great video....David from England UK.
Great video bro I appreciate the effort and the information about these buckshot rounds
Glad you liked it
Great thoroughly done job !! Watching you from central KY
Thank you bro, I was in KY this year to film videos with The Kentucky Patriot
Thank you for doing these tests
got more coming with 3.5" buckshot
@@NYPrepper Looking forward
Flight control grouping and reduced kick sounds pretty good. My semi-auto requires 1300fps+ to cycle, but if I get a pump I’ll be filling it with these...when they appear on the shelves again. Thank you for this insight!
I would be curious about clothing penetration with Tshirt/jacket in winter. 200+/- FPS might make a difference, idk.
I thought the same thing, but it actually penetrated more then standard buckshot because the flght control wad keeps the pellets tighter together so they retained more energy. Check out my penetration test I did wth plywood in my 12 gauge shotgun playlist.
No problem using Federal Flight Control in my Benelli M4.
There are full powered Flite Control buckshot with 9 pellet at 1325 FPS.
Hornady also makes Critical Defense 8 pellet buckshot using the Versatite wad at 1600 FPS which also keeps the pattern tight without the 9th pellet flier. However, Hornady doesn’t buffer or plate the buckshot so it does open up more once the wad separates, so range is more limited. It’s meant for close range home defense and the wad is just there to avoid collateral damage.
Nice work
Great work 👍
Thank you so much 😀
thank you for effort …… very helpful
Welcome
Very good video , a great comparison , would be interesting to see if a full choke made some difference or would it actually be a worse pattern. I know it was cold out there.
Very informative tests
Thanks glad you like them
@@NYPrepper it is very helpful as I am stepping up my security preps
Security is essential I'm glad you are
I retired from Tulsa PD and I loved tactical 8. Tactical 8 gave my shotgun that rifle feeling before we were able to carry rifles.
Thanks for the comment bro, it is basically like a rifle up to 50 yards
Wonder if the number of pellets makes a big or little difference
Thank you for your time I’m trying to make a informative video but I wouldn’t shoot federal if they gave me a lifetime supply had a bad experience with it
What happened?
Flight control in a shotgun shells pretty good the hundred yards very hard to hit with a shotgun using buckshot but from 50 on in is very impressive thank you Greg for this test again......KingJesus
Thank you my brother in Christ, yes 100 yards it won't hit anything
Shoot a volley of 3. You should knock down a bad guy.
Going to purchase some flight control. Good video Greg.
up to 15 yards it's like a slug
Data with I'm talkin bout!!!!!Boom>💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
50 yards would be the furthest that I would take a shot using double-ought buckshot but I would not be using an 18 and a half inch barrel. For a 50-yard shot it would have a 28-inch barrel with either improve cylinder for the choke or a cylinder bore choke. And as for 100-yard shot that would require a slug, you got to have a little Humanity towards the deer that you're hunting when using Buckshot or Slugs and the distance that you shoot.
Standard double OtterBox for large crowd like a riot at 30 yards. Flight control for precision.
since these have pretty low velocity, i wonder how long does it take down a deer. does it actually down it at 50 yards?
U CAN'T BEAT FEDERAL
FLIGHT CONTROL AMMO...
Not trying to be a know it all but velocity isn’t necessarily related to recoil. It can but not always. The burn rate of the powder is what dictates the recoil. In a heavy payload like buckshot loads the faster the burn rate the more recoil. A similar load with a slower burn rate will have less recoil.
cylinder bore? sorry, it's hard for me to understand some words by ear
The 9th flyer strikes again...Why I prefer the 8 pellet if you can find it...
haha!!
첫탄이 폣턴이 좋았음
Need a 28” barrel man
Are manual shotguns better than semi-autos in your opinion? I see you use a manual type right there.
Semi auto is better. They're both equally reliable.
And is that an anprim pfp?
@@teru797 anprim, yes
A semi is good for reducing a little recoil but you can’t go wrong with a pump shot gun, less parts mean less things can go wrong

Past 25 yards, time for slugs...🧐
yes sir! thanks for watching
Make sure you use Cylinder Choke for best results with Flight control Buck shot ! No choke needed !
샷건실탄은 폐드랠이 최고다.
keep in mind why your using a shot gun. buck shot 50 yds an under . i prefer the standerd buck shot . why? u ask lets look at the test an apply some real world situation . at 50 yds 1 pellet hit the objective not 3. now that one pellets location possible lung shot regardless a bad day for the perp. now lets think about real world . is the objective aware of the situation . if no its still a bad day. if yes i dought the object will remain stationary. nows when the standardf load becomes my load out . why ? the focus here is on what hit the paper. so the question should be where did the other 6 shots go . 2 being danger close an one being a def. game changer . an ill put my money the other six where heard going by even possibly the heat felt as they flew by. to the left an right of the objective . resulting in regardless the direction the objective may have chose to flee would have resulted in a 100% hit outcome of at least 1 pellet finding its mark. a bad day for perp. also factor in the positon of the shooter . possibly nervous , shacking , elevated heart rate , shooting exsperence, skill level. day time , night time unknown factors for us. but with the standerd load not that important . even if the shooter closed there eyes at the moment of triger pull. ill put my money on a bad day situation for the perp every time on the standerd load out. at 50 an under. the flight controled would become an higher succes rate 50 yds an out to possible 100. but tht range the shooters skill an exsperence time an knowledge of the weapon beomes more of a factor in a succesfull outcome. me personaly 50 yds out to 100. give me a slug if using a shotgun. also my load out would be 1st round always bird shot or traget shot for in home followed by buck shot followed by slug ,buck ,slug, buck . this is just my opinion, an suggestion only u know the situatons you may be presented with. i like to cover any surprises that mat present its self. plans on paper or good,-practise but must remain flexable an fluid . once contact is made plans always change , keep the inititive an nevr loose sight of the objective. you an your loved ones being safe . love to all
