Loved my Honor 8 many years ago.. so long as it works in US with 5G bands - might be an option for many!
My 2nd ever smartphone was a honor 9 I got for 240 pounds and I loved it kept it for 3 years before upgrading to the flagship Huawei mate 20 pro (at the time Huawei still owned honor). The Huawei situation is a shame but it's good honor is still making good phones

Competition is good when it's fair, when apple, Samsung, sony, and google do all the R&D all the Chinese companies just copy or steal then that's not really competition now is it. Chinese foldables can't even compare to Samsung, in hardware and especially software. Who wants a phone that's directly controlled by an authoritarian oppressive Chinese communist party. It does, but remember the history of the brand. Honor is the brainchild of Huawei and was a subbrand and as such had to be sold off for its survival, but I think they trying to stay clear of the US for that exact reason

IMO, Although Honor 70 uses IMX800 but with mediocre chipset, it will still lag behind its competitors when it comes to image processing and quality. At least a Snapdragon 870 or higher could have been better. Overall Honor 70 is still a good device but with that price range there are other really good options like the new Samsung A Series which will launch soon this week, the Oneplus Nords of the world, the Oppo, and the Vivo of the world, and of course Xiaomi 12 series models....
Which phone is the better choice for you? Honor 70, Samsung S21 Fe or Poco F4?
@@markodjokic2608 Samsung S21 FE with SD888 chipset is the most affordable among S21 series, that's why the price is almost flagship. Poco F4 somehow is a more affordable version of its brother GT. If your budget affords S21 FE you can go with that or if you want to save money go with Poco F4 with SD 870 chipset or buy Poco F4 GT for 8 Gen 1 chipset. My only concern for the Honor 70 is the chipset its weakest point and its price is almost the same as Samsung S21FE but Honor has the most megapixel count in-camera features, also a great display, and a bigger battery capacity. If you like the honor 70 it's still a good phone and can deliver its promises.

@@markodjokic2608 samsung s21 is better in everything than the honor 70 except battery life and looks, s21 fe looks good but honor 70 is sleek, still better chipset is much better and sd 888 is one hell of a phone also the samsung has the power to make use of all the 120hzs even while gaming meanwhile the honor 70 lacks behind in more demanding games

Honor has always been around, they're not affected by the US ban. That's why all Honor phones still have GMS.
They never left tbh, hauwei is just operating off the opensource version of Android.

It's definitely not the best display around that price point. It doesn't even support HDR 10 plus Motorola edge 20 Pro and age 20 support HDR 10 plus and have a 1080p 144 Hertz 10 bit display and HDR 10 plus for less money
But it's curved , which is more expensive in cost .
No human eye can differentiate 144hz & 120hz... And also hdr on that such small screen ... U need at least 20inch screen to notice the hdr10

10-bit definitely is more of a gimmick! It's not the real 10-bit screen you are thinking on the smartphones, it's implemented thru software.. And it hardly makes any difference tbh..
