I was considering buying the V2, thinking I would be able to order it shortly after September 1st but it was so anticlimactic I immediately traded in my S22 Ultra for $1,000 off the Z Fold 5 and got a free storage upgrade plus a Watch 6 classic for only $100. Samsung trade in game is on point
@Tafeafc I couldn't justify spending that much on a phone from a 3rd party seller in China that didn't come with an extended warranty option. Further tech support would have been minimal, and last I'm not certain how available replacement parts ( e.g., screens) would be if/when repairs are needed

@@blacar3270Samsung Still tries their hardest to not honor warranty on all of their phone. I bought the fold 4 had the hinge issue that tons of people have with the fold 4. Fought for like 4 months to get it fixed or replaced. Finally I just said fuck it, and traded it in plus an extra credit towards the fold 5 and legit like a month into having it there's a massive black pixel line right in the middle of the crease. I had to send like 50 really high resolution pictures of the phones exterior and interior showing there were no drops or cracks at all. It's super annoying giving them another 2 grand thinking I wouldn't have to worry about it and immediately I was wrong. They tell me it will take 12 business days after they receive it till they send it back, so I get to use my old note 20, after paying 2 bands for a piece of garbage that I already knew was garbage.
Read something online that this may not come to the UK till 2024...?! Surely not? If so that's really poor marketing by Honor, no other phone companies show off a phone this early and then expect people to wait 4/5 months to buy it... Anyone heard any different to this or?
making it thin and light means no ip rating, and also wireless charging is rather weak. The cameras are hole punch but this means it has higher quality images. 50MP is maybe average for a phone camera, what is the optical zoom?
Great concept on the Magic Purse but I think that the screen could get damaged more with an outer folding device unless they have put more protection on it then I could see it being part of a fashion accessory
Mate Xs user here. Can reassure you its holding up. As long as you don't bump into a very pointy device the plastic screen holds up nice. Maybe you need a screen protector replacement at one point as mine peeled off after a visit at the beach where I roughed up the screen protector quite well.

I was dying to get the Magic but with no google support options yet I went with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. Ive been very very pleased with the cameras in comparison with the Z Fold 5 And I'm wondering how it compares to the Magic. Hope you can do a comparison. After the update on the Mix the camera has been killing the fold in my opinion
BOE designed this screen abot 8 years ago aswell good to see it now being used! Thats the v purse available to purchase now but more of a womans phone they way they show it off but the black ones nice non that weird stuff we don't want bloating it up
Shame, that there is not enough details in this review/advert as I liked how you presented. No negatives, no real world info such as how well fold works eg can it sit at an obtuse angle like you might want on a train. Is the battery life better than others. Does it get hot under heavy demand usage? You have a Google apps version but didn't really show that off, do they work well? Could you consider doing a second more in depth video?

it's a amazing phone but its not the best the fold 5 is still the best foldable of 2023 it offers features, s pen , samsung dex , and best of all the best software all the folders have better hardware but that's all software is what sets the fold 5 apart
Please can people give me there honest opinion of foldable (people that own them for a period of time) I'm on my 2nd Fold 4 and the big screen has gone the same way as my first one, this time pretty much a year of owning it, the first went a matter of days of ownership, Im trying to get out of it, I want a normal phone that won't break, I love the foldable screen, the size and multi tasking, but it's so unreliable, at least in my experience, neither of which were ever dropped and both cased.
My cheap solution for having both worlds is buying a sling bag, a normal smartphone and 8.4inch tablet.. i can bring them anywhere i want, u got more juice from both, and its more purposeful oriented devices.. one for daily tasks n the other is for media consumption.. 😁
It is disrespectful to customers that Magic V2 will only be released in Europe in 2024, the processor will then be almost two years old and the successor Magic V3 will be released soon. It seems as if Honor would clear the camp for the successor in this way.
It's great it's even getting a release in Europe and you find a reason to moan. 2024 is only 3 months away. It's the SD 8 Gen 2 second edition that's not been out long. SD dropped the Plus moniker for their second half year refresh. The SD 8 Gen 2 is what's powering the Galaxy S23 anyway so no not 2 years old anyway.
@@bradavon The year 2024 is still almost four months away. It will probably be March / April 2024 before the Magic V2 can actually be bought in stores in Germany, England and Italy. It will then be taken off the market by July at the latest, because the factories in China have long been producing the Magic V3. It was exactly the same with the predecessor Honor Magic Vs.
I can almost guarantee Huawei didn't sell enough of the Mate x, so now they slap on a new color few subtle design choices and the fashion market is massive so they can get sold all the remaining inventory. The screen is going to get mangled over time, bump one corner and ☠🪦.

It's a benchmark basically but for me I prefer the oppo and pixel looking foldables.
I considered the V2 but bought the Z Fold 5 instead. App optimization, warranty, and availability ultimately drove me back to Sammy.
I know it's so annoying. Samsung are really lazy but other foldables are handicapped.

Honor did the same with the Magic Vs. The Magic V2 is coming to Europe next year when Honor has to free up storage for the Magic V3 in China.

I bought V2 i Europe , we didnt get the batery EU regualtions, but RAM is 16+7 GB Honor Turbo , fantastic phone
How many apps can be used in split mode? Only 2? And can you use apps in pop up modus?
You can use 2 split apps plus a 3rd pop-up app
You can make the main screen a pop-up window, and drag and drop files directly to it
