Uffffffff!!!!!! RIP Mr Froese.
Kind of a weird thing; I had this on vinyl. Not just that but it was CLEAR vinyl, transparent, colorless. I loved it but I introduced it to the rest of the dorm rather late in the party one night, and I think everybody got the spins, rather than appreciating the neoclassical genius.
Interesting mix as the grainy and splashy high frequencies on the original have been toned down making it more comfortable to listen to. It is a pity that TD did not have a sound engineer like Alan Parsons during the 70s.
Agreed 👍💯

Best album for me
Most dynamic. I loved it, but I really loved the heavy sequencer tracks best. Sequencer + Edgar on guitar was omfg.
Probably the most influential album they ever made. I know it divides opinion but I think it's wonderful.
This is the perfect middle point between their more esoteric soundscapes and their more thematic melodic stuff.

The 6:57 moment is magic!
I would tell 11:55 moment
Right before they tried to be Hollywood's house band. I love this album.

Bringing me back to happy days.
Thanks for this ❤
I wish they would preserve the idea of having real drums in their subsequent albums.. the fact that they didn't makes this album a unique gem.
