Eiffel 65 - Blue (da ba dee) | (1999)

Eiffel 65 es un grupo italiano de Italodance y Eurodance formado en 1998 en la ciudad de Turín, en Italia integrado por el rapero y cantante Gianfranco Randone, y los DJs Gabry Ponte y Maurizio Lobina. El nombre de «Eiffel» fue elegido al azar por un programa de ordenador y el «65» apareció haciendo garabatos sobre sus nombres por error (el 65 formaba parte de un número de teléfono de su discográfica, BlissCo). Las canciones del grupo tienen la característica de mezclar el inglés con el italiano.
«Blue (Da Ba Dee)» es una canción eurodance. Fue lanzada por el sello Logic como el primer sencillo de Europop y el primer álbum de estudio del grupo, lanzado en 1999. En él, incluye un armonizador, usado como vocoder. Pero, en realidad, fue un error, lo que querían es llegar al Auto-Tune, tal y como se ha usado en la canción Believe de Cher.
Es la canción más exitosa del grupo, alcanzando el número uno en varios países, como Irlanda, el Reino Unido, los Países Bajos, Francia, Suecia, Suiza, Nueva Zelanda, Noruega, Australia y Alemania, así también logró alcanzar el puesto n.º 6 del Billboard Hot 100. La canción fue nominada en los Premios Grammy de 2001, en la categoría Mejor grabación dance.
