Kaveh has a photographic memory, Alhaitham can passively absorb information wherever he goes. They also have different styles that complement each other.

Alhaitham and Kaveh being Alhaitham and Kaveh
After the events of the Parade of Providence, Kaveh and Alhaitham seem like they worked on their communication. They don't argue here, Kaveh calls Alhaitham's house home now, they're more comfortable and domestic, Alhaitham still teases Kaveh but softer and Kaveh takes it well (the secret scene at the House of Daena). We love to see the development of characters 😌

I love that they balance each other out. Alhaitham provides stability, while Kaveh makes Alhaitham's life more interesting, and colorful (Kaveh also does all the housework according to his character stories)

@@evernightdream676 That is the truth. They became boring just for the sake of appeasing their shippers. They were not like that before this. Even UNPCs like Cyrus and Tighnari's master are far more interesting than those two. Alhaitham and Kaveh felt more like NPCs in this story quest.

100%, Alhaitham likes to get Kaveh riled up, lol. But, I think Kaveh made it clearly it really bothers him, and either Alhaitham is no longer taking his bad mood out on Kaveh... or he's listening and respecting Kaveh's boundries.
Someone else commented on it, but it seems after that one event, these two seemed to have settled down and are getting along a lot better now.
