Haegeum has two meanings - the first is a traditional instrument, the second which is important for this song is the freeing of the forbidden. The lyrics are raw and blunt as expected of Agust D, they hit hard. There are references to the Daechwita storyline, Scarface, Joker, among others. Yoongi loves us to interpret his music and videos. Did you see the part where he stole his favourite fruit? (Tangerines) that was so cute!

Pat this song and these lyrics just have such a powerful impact when you really stop to think about them.. One of my favorites from the album is Snooze, the melody, the lyrics, min Yoongi's voice and then Woosung singing.. Whew that song just speaks to me💜💜💜💜💜💜
The older gentleman on Snooze passed away since recording it Ritorri or something sorry I dont remember the name. The video Amygdala is the 3rd in the trilogy Daechwita, Haegeum then Amygdala it explains the scar & the Agust D persona came from his trauma & fears ...his past self. He shoots Agust D putting that part to rest but revisits the past in Amygdala (part of the brain) but comes back to save himself....its deep. Hes so dope.❤🎉

This song had no reason to go this hard. He created an absolutely visually captivating story stuffed full of references. But the music he composed and his rapping are immaculate, complex flow, and spitting hard facts we all need to hear. The whole album has songs that are equally raw. Ageee he looks so stunningly good, wait till you see the dance practice for this, yes he’s got a Krupp style dance to this. His swag is off the damn charts. Have a great week! 💜💜💜
This song is so incredible and I love the video. Suga is an amazing writer and producer. One of the things that attracted me to BTS were their lyrics and that their songs have meaning. I am a big fan of his long hair. 😊

Hi, i really love your reactions, i hope you listen to the full album and like it, amygdala is one of the songs that are deep and raw in this album, a music vidoe was released, i hope you enjoy reacting to it and the full album, borahae💜 Edit: there is also a dance practice for haegeum, plz react to that also😊
Lots of theories about the hidden gems in this, but this is my favorite interpretation. Thug Suga and his gang attacked an operation run by the corrupt cop Suga and it was the cop’s money Suga stole and threw around and burned. The guy that was on the phone, who didn’t get beat up and who Suga nodded at as he left, was calling corrupt cop Suga to set him up. That guy making the call was Suga’s inside guy, like the butcher-executioner was on Suga’s side against the king in Daechwita. As Suga is being shoved under water in the last scene, he was actually surrounded by guys on his side. I noticed that in the first scene with the corrupt cop, the other police officers stood at attention, almost in fear, as he passed through. Someone joked that when Suga was in the police car at the end, he was being given a ride home. Maybe Suga got rid of an evil cop like the evil king. These are just pieced together theories but kind of make sense. 🤓🤪💁🏼♀️
Haeguem also means TO LIFT THE BAN and is also a musical instument. Just like things that are 'not allowed' are in the lyrics (talking points like comments that lead to suicide or hurt is not necessarily 'freedom of speech' but self--indulgence.) Also, idols are reprimanded for such things as smoking in Koren society. One must also look at the koren stand point that idols are influencers or teenagers, children and young adults so they are held to a higher standard than another entertainer. But as SUGA said it is not cool that he is a 31 year old man. So in doing this he is saying to lift the bans but also be aware of the consequences before doing certain things. Think before you speak or act. Not because you have the right means you should hurt others. He also talks about the norms in society today that actually limit our own thought processes, actions and imagination.
@@justpat2316 Anytime Mr. Gibson. I might not comment a lot, but I watch all your videos. Keep up the authentic good work, love it. I know you threw the towl listening to STIGMA lol and you should listen to HOME as you will hear Jin do a choirboy falsetto, bear in mind they are dancing too.
Thank you for your honest reactions, I appreciate you so much Pat. Please react to Amygdala next, be sure to keep tissues nearby - so much will make sense after watching it.
Haegeum is a song about unlocking our new potentialities, freeing something previously forbidden. The word “Haegeum” triggered a lot of curiosity after the track was released, and it has a double meaning. On one side, it’s a traditional Korean string instrument that has a very peculiar sound (you can watch it on a live performance in this video), but this is not the authentic meaning Agust D/Suga intended originally.
Music.. Lyrics... All together coming out perfectly made the message is so powerful that we need to take time to think of our lives on this earth You need to watch the movie so you can understand how this historical album come to life Thanks for your time and be Loved and happy 😊
Haegeum is also a nod to him killing off his August D alter ego. D-Day is the end of the August D trilogy. Amygdala explains why he was so angry but in an interview he said people should listen to the album in order to understand.
Masterpiece of a song and the lyrics have a message(which isn't unusual for Yoongi or BTS songs). Songs nowadays have no substance in the lyrics or message. Just like Yoongi says, slaves to materialistic things and flexing. I really enjoy your reactions. Keep up the good work.☮️💜
