Deep down Bella knows how Edward wanted to wait and he didn't want to hurt her but Edward also knew too that Bella was still human and she had needs and that she could not wait because of the first accident. Even though Edward bruised her it didn't matter to Bella she still loved him and wanted to let him know that she didn't want that to stop him.
